I travel often and City Lodge group is my go too if I do not have a liked hotel in the region. It offers a clean room with all facilities needed, price is acceptable and within my budget for the company.

Its time for many of these older properties to get a revamp. The carpet in the room was showing its age and really needs attention, the old, outdated, noisy aircon units really need ripping out, they are loud and clonk and donk throughout the night when it kicks in and out, it wakes you up on a regular basis. The paint needs updating to a more modern colour, the mirror on the wardrobe door was close to falling off and in general, although clean, the rooms are starting to look tired around the edges. It is also cheaper to book through bookings.com than to book on my lodger club, this does not seem right.

I liked everything from the receptionist mr Humfrey he was so kind and easy approachable . Also I would like to send a big shout out to the security personnel from fidelity I think his name is “mister “ or something . There was a point I had left my car keys on the outside door of the car and went to the concert . He was able to spot them and kept them safe . That shows that they are not just seating in one place however monitoring the place around . I don’t regret doing business with you ever you are the best in town and comes highly recommended

The only problem was the towel issue. They refused to give us a second towel saying 2 adults have to share 1 towel. Stating that their policy allows for only 1 towel per room. Even in double rooms. They need to do better when it comes to that. Hygiene has to be practiced. And also there are no irons in the room. You have to go to the reception to ask for one before you get it ☹️

It was very clean, the staff gave us a warm welcome. The food was delicious, fresh and cooked well. All the people who work there from the gardeners, security, reception, chefs, cleaners, waiters and waitresses were very kind and polite. We felt at home from the moment we checked in till we checked out.

The main road that goes to Meropa / Town Lodge needs attention. It should have 3 stop signs or traffic lights.

Old old furniture. I didn’t know how to operate the aircon cos they use very very old ones that needs to be operated manually. The bedrooms looks very old as well. They should consider some renovations. The breakfast was expensive but horrible 🤮 it was very very cold with minimal options. It was very bad . The coffee pot is boiled once and put on the table for 3 hours without heat. Coffee was therefore ice cold. There were flies on the buffet table. The food was blunt and tasteless

A warm welcome as always. The Town Lodge is very clean from the front desk, restaurants, Bathrooms, hallway and rooms. The food is healthy and served with a warm smile by the chefs and waitresses. The security is good, welcoming smiles and greeting from the gate to the Town Lodge. I look forward to staying here in the future when I visit Polokwane.

The staff from the cleaners, chefs, front desk, security guard and Manager were very friendly. The Lodge is clean and smells good. The food is tasty, nutritious and well prepared. I will definitely keep recommending it and even go back there.

The place was extraordinary near to where the function were. Just a stone through away. The climate was so calm. We slept like kids

The mat iin room 216 is too old it needs revamp. The breakfast is too expensive R225 per person because it didn't have variety of food

the room didn’t have bottled water so you have to purchase that separately from the get go. And the channels on the tv no kid friendly channels like cartoons
