The house itself is beautiful, I was nervous driving up the windy mountain road in the dark but the view was worth it. The bathroom is clean and has a large shower. We woke up to a little paddy melon on the front lawn. Very friendly and accommodating owners. So happy to have found it. We probably should have stayed two nights.
There's not really any lighting on the road and it's a bit of a scary steep drive in the dark or if it's raining. But I don't know if there's much they can do about that. Just go slowly and watch out for the lovely wildlife.

Paul was a fabulous host. We loved the style of accommodation, the views and the wildlife.
When we arrived the house looked empty as all the curtains were pulled however it turned out that the reason being the front room is a bedroom hence the reason why! This was our room which was attached to your own sitting room. Out the back is three other rooms that share an area so depending on how social you want to be you can choose either! The front room has less privacy and would need the curtains pulled all the time as the cars are parked in front of the room.

This is a very nice B&B .The host is very amicable & sociable. He made sure everything was right & made us feel at home. The room & en suite were clean & warm. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The house is on top of a high hill with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. There is an outdoor deck to enjoy them.A large family of resident wallabies appeared every day in the garden. Our stay was most enjoyable.Thank you Paul for for giving us a wonderful stay. We will certainly return.

Paul served a beautiful continental breakfast with five fruits a day - or was it six!!! Beautiful quality along with crusty toast with a well set table with tablecloth. Best library ever!! The bed most comfortable for best sleep. Paul's home cooking was superb, particularly the Lamb Rump with eight vegetables. The location of this home is superb on top of the hill with best views to Mt Wellington and down the Huon River overlooking the lovely bend in the River. Perfect spot to explore the Huon Valley with Apples being harvested, historic towns Franklin, Geeveston, Port Cygnet and Ranleagh with Home Hill Winery and historical Kiln Restaurant and beautiful church opposite. Two kms away is Best Bakery Cafe and new Burger shop in Ranleagh.
Nothing!! All sooooo good!! Paul overheated the rooms for us and couldn't do enough for us. And gave us our privacy.

Our host, Paul was very friendly and accommodating of our pet dog. The location is very quiet and has some superb views from the house and the hill. Excellent hot water in the shower. The selection of fruit and jams with the continental breakfast was very good. The fire in the free standing wood heater was a bonus at this time of year; it actually was a little too warm at times, but I imagine in cooler weather it would be quite cosy.
The sound transfer from the adjoining rooms. The first night the adjoining rooms were occupied by three golfing guests whose banter was clearly heard in our room. The following night the adjoining rooms were vacant and it was very quiet and peaceful.

The location is amazing, it's a short drive across the river from town and up scenic drive, and it is scenic. The views over the river, the valley and Huonville are spectacular. The House is set on a large rural property overlooking the valley. The main living area, complete with a warm fireplace opens out on to a lovely timber verandah, nestled above a lovely garden which offer 180 degree views. It's a lovely spot to soak up the vista, enjoy the visiting Pademelons in the evening, or enjoy a morning cuppa in the sunshine. Paul, our host was great, he's a friendly outgoing bloke. A good conversationlist and wealth of knowledge on the area. He offered some great dining tips which were spot on. When you visit have a chat, let him know what you want to see and he will steer you right and help you get the best experience and stay. The house is virtually 2 homes in one with an accommodation side and Pauls place with the lovely lounge and verandah access down the middle. We stayed in an ensuite room, which was cosy and the bed was really comfortable. There are 4 rooms available but it's set up so if you want quiet and privacy it's your. But if you want to mingle or spend time in the living room you can without disturbing other guests. I thoroughly recommend a visit it's a great spot.
Everything was great

Breakfast was reasonable fruit and yogurt was good egg omelette was yummy but toast was hard and cold. Log fire was very warming and comforting most enjoyable. Visitation of bush creatures at night was a great viewing experience. Good wi fi and great selection of dvd to watch or books to read. Paul a great character very accommodating.
The isolation and long drive up a twisting dirt road. Need to be prepared to bring your own provisions as driving at night could be tricky.

The house had a lot of charm, like its owner Paul :) It was comfortable and clean with amazing views! The pademelons and native geese on the property were lovely to see, along with the chickens and black face sheep.
The decor was a little tired looking, but this just added to the charm. Unfortunately the garden has suffered due to long periods of dry weather.

Everything. The views were exceptional. The house and garden area were gorgeous. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The property is dog friendly and ours was warmly welcomed. Paul, the host, was terrific and definitely go back there again. An 11 out of 10 from us. Oh yes and breakfast was lovely with fresh berries, yum. Thank you Paul.

Very comfortable stay with a magnificent view of Huon Valley. This was a home away from home. Paul is a fabulous host and allowed us to check in a little earlier as we had a wedding to attend. We also enjoyed a stay in dinner meal of Wallaby in our private dining area overlooking the valley. Would definitely stay again.
