Loved the pod itself and it's situated in a beautiful location. The view is amazing. The front of the pod opens up completely and would be lovely in summer however I kept everything closed up as it was the middle of winter. Tanya is a wonderful host. The heating and the lights were left on for my arrival and a delicious slice was left in the fridge.

The only downside for me was not having a comfortable chair to sit in to read. There are two chairs in the pod and although they look very nice, they are not comfortable to sit in for any length of time.

Everything was to like. Location was exactly what I wished for, countryside/bush life near Kingston township and beaches. Birdlike, animals, but best of all was the serenity of not being in a town or city. Fresh air to breathe, natural beauties to appreciate, and also meeting Tanya (host) and enjoying our chats. I had been eyeing this place for a few years for a stay and it absolutely ticked all of the boxes. I really did not want to leave, four nights weren't enough there.

Nothing to not like. Simple living in a gorgeous countryside place.

Staying at Hobart Hideaway Pods felt like a magical escape – central to Hobart yet completely immersed in nature. Tanya, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming. Watching the wildlife from the pod was unforgettable: playful pademelons, vibrant birdlife, flitting butterflies, and buzzing bees. The goats added a charming touch, captivating us for hours. We loved the cozy warmth of the eco-cabins and the breathtaking views.

Nothing! It was perfect

The serenity, the privacy in a hidden away gem. Waking up to fully front glass windows over looking the view was breathtaking. Seeing the native birds and animals on your front door step, morning and night was quite a beautiful experience. The owners were lovely and are all about being sustainable and caring for our environment, which is such an important reminder to us all as we continue to travel around this beautiful country.

Having to leave the relaxing ambience.

Gorgeous accommodation. Very cosy and comfortable and in a stunning open bush setting. It felt very relaxing and like our own little get away. Hideaway is a great description as it does feel like you could curl up as this place with a cuppa and a book and hide from the world for hours! Also Tanya, the host, was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival. Couldn't recommend more!

Only thing was there could have been fly screens on one of the doors so you could open a door up for ventilation without flies coming in.

We loved everything about this place. I was feeling really unwell after a long flight from overseas and after trying to check into another place we'd booked (via Booking.com) where the host was unavailable when we arrived, we were lucky enough to find a vacancy at the Hobart Hideaway Pods. What a hidden gem! Tanya, our host was a delight and couldn't be more helpful. Every need is catered for and the view over the paddocks and distant water is breathtaking. The garden is beautiful and the whole place is an obvious labour of love. We hope to return again.

Tanya’s place is a slice of heaven! The view, the wildlife, the sunrise, the stars at night, it’s truly such a beautiful place to rest and recoup. Bed is super comfy and the shower stays warm. It’s only 15 minutes from Hobart CBD (a few minutes more with peak hour traffic), but trust me when I say, you probably won’t want to leave! Maybe just for food haha. Overall, Tanya and the family truly put so much thought and care into these eco-friendly pods. Not to mention, she’s an absolutely lovely soul. Thank you for the best experience, Tanya! Oh, and there’s a mini fridge, toaster and microwave but definitely should store some food in the fridge as there’s no cooktop. Can’t wait to come back! 🙌🏼

A tranquil little sanctuary 15mns from Hobart with breathtaking views immaculate green fields stunning native gardens and cute wildlife ...We stayed in the *Pea-Pod* which was modern cosy spotless well equipped with lots of extra little touches to make you feel at home...Tanya the host was so warm & welcoming n had the heater on in our pod for our late arrival as well as a delectable Caramel Slice awaiting us ...We will definately be back...

We loved our stay in the Vanilla Pod. Very comfortable. Warm. Great hot shower! The view is out of this world and so special morning and night. Quiet. Tucked away. A little oasis away from the norm. We adored all the wildlife surrounding us. And Tanya is an attentive friendly host.

So close to Kingston beach, shops and sports centre but feels like you’re in the bush - waking up to the birds and the cute pademelons in the grounds

Limited cutlery and crockery and cleaning up is a bit challenging without a sink I would suggest a couple of microwave dishes so guests can cook up a meal in microwave if staying in for the night
