Everything - I am a regular and the Steigenberger is my hotel of choice when flying into or out of Frankfurt multiple times a year. Perfect airport hotel.

Normally a 10/10 - this time I had an avoidable mix up with my payment. Front desk staff simply did not pay attention to my billing details and charged my CC twice. A day later I was refunded one night. Problem was, that got dinged twice on my Canadian Credit Card with total fees and exchange rate loss of over Can $ 20. Not the end of the world, but please pay attention to billing details when they are communicated in an email first and then confirmed at checkin.

Great and clean room. Nice pool and spa area. Very family friendly staff. Very seamless airport transfer with a large shuttle service every 20 minutes.

1) Perfect hotel in spring, winter or during temperate weather. It was hot outside when I stayed there and the A/C didn’t cool below 25 Celsius (around 77 Fahrenheit). Staff told me that it is an energy saving measure which can’t be circumvented. So it was a bit toasty in my room. 2) The check-in desk was understaffed with two active employees. When a shuttle bus arrives with several passengers to check in, wait time can be extended. In my case it was around 20 minutes which is extensive. Automated check in machines were present but offline.

We stayed here for 1 night prior to our flight home and we really enjoyed it. Although the price/night was higher than our usual target, the free shuttle to & from the airport was the deal maker for us. Because car parking here is paid parking only, in a nearby parking garage, we decided to drive our rental car to the hotel to drop off our luggage, then we drove to the airport to return our rental car, and we got back to the hotel via their free shuttle service. Then the next day we took the free shuttle back to the airport to catch our flight. This was easy and worked out great for us. The rooms at this hotel are very well-appointed, comfortable, and sound resistant.

On the night we stayed, the air conditioning wasn't working properly so it was a little warmer than we would have wanted but not uncomfortable.

The front desk staff was helpful. The shuttle was on time and so quick to get to and from the airport or train station. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of plug ins for phone, ipad, etc. I liked the fact the tv could turn around to view from the bed or the couch. The bar/restaurant was open late and the food was very good.

I thought that the price for the room was excessive. There were very few amenities in the bathroom. It was very dark in the room, in need of more lighting. I would have like to see a room in the main tower, but instead both of my stays were in the Executive tower. I was never given a choice.

Sauna and pool facilities were excellent and just what I needed to de stress during travel. Food was high quality for dinner, the dining staff were stellar and very polite and meticulous, drink selection was very high quality. I really appreciated the upgrade to executive and I can appreciate the quality difference compared to some other similarly priced hotels I’ve stayed at in Germany.

It was a bit confusing to get from the wellness and fitness area back over to the executive tower. After a few missed attempts traveling to different floors, I had to go to the lobby to get back over to the executive tower. A small map or summary guide would help people who are spatially challenged.

We always stay at the Steigenberger when traveling into and out of Frankfurt. We have found the service we received each time is always excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The amenities they offer are simply the best. We are never disappointed! A big shout out to 2 employees that went about and beyond for us were Paula at the front desk and Marcus from the IT or TV programming. Paula welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay. She is very helpful. Marcus came to the rescue when we had trouble with our TV. He came right away and fixed it, explained to us the problem. He also stated not to hesitate to call again if we have any further problems or questions. These are just 2 examples of why we stay at the Steigenberger.

The airport shuttle service is very reliable and frequent, which is why we stayed at the hotel. Our check in person said our room wasn't ready as we were earlier than check in time. Later, after waiting for 3 hours, I asked another agent, and she said that it had been ready for a long time and checked us in.

The room we were in was too warm and the air conditioning did not work. We had someone check it, and he said he would be back, but never came back. We finally complained to the front desk and were moved to a different room, which was a much nicer and cooler room.

The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Wonderful variety of choices and fresh fruit and vegetables. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the view. The shower was very fun!

We had a hard time controlling the temperature in the room. It was too hot most of the time. We could see that it was on the snowflake and we had the fan turned on high and the temperature set to 19 but there was not very much cool air in our room.

The double room is quite big and very clean, the bed is comfortable. Bathroom is ok. There is coffee&tea service in the room. Everything was great! Free shuttle bus from/to airport is very useful, thank you

Please, inform your guests that shuttle bus arrive to airport on level -1 ( minus 1) , because the same exit number is on level 0. I wasn't informed that after check-in the deposit was taken from my credit card. I was surprised because the stay was already paid. Of course the deposit was returned the day after my check-out.

Most important to us was the frequent, reliable shuttle service to the airport offered by this hotel, and it was as promised. It's clearly a hotel frequented by airline staff, with a reception desk dedicated solely to crew. The swimming pool was a bonus to enjoy.

Our room had seen better days from a wear-and-tear point of view, but it was spacious. Be prepared to pay very high prices to eat at any of the on-site dining options. We didn't enjoy the cigarette smoke from the dining terrace that came into the restaurant through the open door.
