- room looked very nice, clean and well lit - complimentary minibar (cookies, tea, coffee, sugar, creamer, ice tea, cola, sprite) - bathroom items - shower AND bathtub - how the building was re-done from an old colonial building (keeping the structure, but adapting it to the modern days and necessities) - there is a mini-pool & outside lounge area

- outside view/neighbourhood (constructions sites) - both room keys were not working (demagnetized?!) in just a few hours - very weird (and no, were not kept near a phone :D ) - nespresso machine not working :(

Exception. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and attended to daily. The pool was very refreshing, clean and a fantastic way to cool off and recharge. The complimentary minibar was replenished daily, a major plus. Perfect location. Short walk to Lavendar MRT, Jalan Besar MRT and Nicholl Highway MRT. As our flight was not leaving until late at night, we were able to store our luggage in the lobby and sightsee during the day. We travelled from Lavendar MRT to the Changi Airport MRT, and it was quick and effortless. I would highly recommend the wonderful Hotel Nu Ve Urbane. Should I return to sensational Singapore, I will definitely stay there again.

The only negative was the lack of available pool towels. It was so hot in Singapore, it did not really cause any problem.

The hotel is located 7-8 mins walking from Lavender station. Next to the hotel is a small bar so you can chill at night. I asked for 30 mins late out and they agreed which is a big plus. The staffs also friendly. Room is small but for tourist like me go out most of the time wont be a problem. cleaning service serves everyday . You’ll need to pay deposit 100 SGD when check in.

Can hear outside sounds pretty clear. Like people talking or housekeeping cleaning. Near hotel having construction site so around 7-8am will be pretty noisy.

The hotel is admittedly small. But it was surprisingly all that you need. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Lobby is clean. You can smell that it is. The elevator isn’t that well maintained but it was okay. Halls were very clean. Upon entering the room, you should expect it to be tiny. But the bed, sheets and overall vibe was cozy. We slept like babies! Bathroom was small but also cute! They gave out free snacks! Great water pressure and adjustable temperature of the aircon. Good lighting also in the room. Swimming pool was good too. Surprised by the size of the window considering it is Singapore where windows also affect overall price.

The carpets. Felt a bit dirty. Under the bed was an item from previous guest. So they should clean that too. I hope the windows was one way. Since we were at the fourh floor and didnt want anyone seeing our room.

Bathroom ventilation: The exhaust fan wasn’t working, making the bathroom feel damp. Noise levels: Soundproofing could be better—hallway noises and street sounds were quite noticeable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning, though fixing the ventilation and improving sound insulation would make it even better!

I really liked the hotel’s service, and the staff were very good. The convenient thing here is that the hotel is located between the Little India and Kampong Glam areas, and it’s also very close to the MRT and bus stations, making it easy to get around. It’s easy to find as well. I asked for room decoration on the first day I arrived at the hotel, and they decorated it very beautifully! When I first entered the hotel, it smelled so good, and there was also a free cake counter. I had booked a room not near the pool, but they upgraded me to a room right next to the pool. Overall, I really liked it. There’s a water heater, so no worries about taking cold showers. I really liked it!

Overall, this was a comfortable stay. I booked this accommodation on very short notice due to sudden changes in my schedule, but was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness of the hotel. Room was not big (which was to be expected, granted its price point), but it had everything I needed and the layout was intuitive. I also appreciated the little perks such as local snacks at the lobby, postcards detailing how to speak "singlish", and posters explaining the hotel's heritage (it's a restored colonial building)! While I didn't indulge in any of the snacks, I imagine that this would be quite a unique stay for tourists.

Room felt slightly different from the pictures — there weren't any blue cushions, which wasn't a major issue but it did somewhat take away from the original vibe I expected. I kept my curtains closed most of the time because the location of the hotel was slightly dodgy (near bars), and we were on a lower floor facing another building so passers by would have been able to see into our room otherwise. Towels were also a little worn out, but generally everything was clean.

The room was very comfortable, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The air con was excellent and very cool. The hotel was spotless which daily cleaning and fresh towels. We loved the complimentary mini bar with bottled water, soft drinks and snacks which was refilled daily. We received a complimentary upgrade when we arrived which was great. The rooftop pool was refreshing and even when it was raining we could relax on the rooftop under the canopies. The hotel is near public transport (Lavender and Jalan Besar MRT) and we found it easy to get around the city. The reception staff were also really helpful.

Staff were very friendly and helpful during the stay. Great location close to metro and easy to find and close to malls/food courts. Free snacks and drinks daily was a nice touch and added bonus and the rooftop pool is great - though there is building work going on that can disrupt the calm atmosphere. Room is small as expected, which is not unusual so if you have large luggage may be an issue (we have medium backpacks and had no issues at all) and bathroom/shower is great

The deposit issue - so if you pay by card they say 7-14 days for the back to return after check out and the funds did leave my balance (used a debit card) and after 14 days no return - hotel helpful to an extent but I think their information is misleading. My bank stated it can be 30 days before they follow up if merchants take the funds. My bank were able to remove the transaction (that hadn't been collected by hotel). It's a faff and can take much longer than stated - recommended using a credit card so it is more of a pre-authorisation or cash.
