Good location close to the gondola/ski-lift and 10 minutes drive from Maribor town center. Decent size room, clean and comfortable. Has all expected amenities.

It was a bit odd that reception was not working, and the hotel restaurant only served (decent) breakfast. For anything else you need to go elsewhere - at the very least, minibar could have been filled or there could have been some vending machines. This is particularly problematic on Sunday when shops in Slovenia are closed. Not a deal breaker, just something that can be improved.

The atmosphere of the neighbourhood and in the hotel is extremely energizing and positive. We loved our privacy, but were able to mingle with other guests. Our dog had amazing time as well, plenty of aspace to run and walk and enjoy the outside. Hotel staff is almost invisible, but there if you need them, very convenient.

My teenage son would prefer a wider choice of food for breakfast, more fresh fruit, different options for eggs, etc. but I found it very good.

Lovely place, wonderful view, good location, the person at the reception is amazing.

At arrival I tried to follow the instructions and get the key, but the safe didn’t open. I called the number given, my call was declined and I got a message that I should read the instructions. Not nice, I had to solve my problem by myself (the key safe could be opened with much-much more power). I had nothing in the kitchen I could use to clean my staffs.

Location and parking. We appreciated that the room was warm even though the weather was exceptionally cold for the time of the year. There is a very good restaurant at the funicular station at the walking distance.

The breakfast starts a bit too late for us (7:30) and is prepared with a cheap budget and minimum effort. Sufficient amount of ordinary bread instead of sweet minibuns and croissants would help. Self check-in worked fine but it cannot replace a personal welcome.

Easy self check-in, free parking, quiet area (off-season, might be different during the winter). We had a small technical issue in our room but the staff fixed that immediately (so a positive thing!)

Weather was very hot during our visit and the air conditioning didn't keep up in the triple room (located at the top floor with skylights without curtains).

We stopped here for one night on our way to Croatia, and it was a perfect place to rest before continuing our journey. The area is peaceful, and there’s even a mountain nearby — we’d definitely explore it if we had more time.

The only downside was that the shower drain was clogged, but everything else was comfortable and convenient.

We liked absolutely everything.

Very friendly and kind owners, very good location, excellent parking opportunity (the owners took care of my special request since we went their with two motorbikes and wanted to have a safe place for them), excellent breakfast, room and bathroom were nice, very nice garden and balkonies. Restaurants and shops very close. Very good price/value ratio.

I know it was not in the description, so I shall not complain about it, but a small fridge would make the room more pleasent (in summertime it is nice to put some drinks or sandwiches in a fridge).

The breakfast at Hotel Pohorje was a delightful start to each day. The wide variety of dishes, both hot and cold, ensured that there was something to suit everyone's tastes. The quality of the food was excellent, and the attentive staff made sure that everything was well-stocked and replenished regularly. The rooms at the hotel were spacious, providing ample space for relaxation and rest. It was a pleasure to have enough room to move around comfortably and store our belongings without feeling cramped. The well-designed layout contributed to a relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant stay. One aspect that particularly impressed me about Hotel Pohorje was their pet-friendly policy. It was wonderful to find a hotel that welcomes pets, as it can be challenging to find suitable accommodations for furry companions. This thoughtful gesture made our stay even more enjoyable, knowing that our four-legged friend was also taken care of. Parking facilities at the hotel were satisfactory. Although not exceptional, the availability of parking spaces ensured that we could easily park our car without any inconvenience or worry. Having this convenience made exploring Maribor and its surroundings hassle-free. The bathrooms in the hotel were great, providing modern fixtures and amenities. Cleanliness was exceptional throughout the hotel, and the bathrooms were no exception. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness was evident and greatly appreciated.

The only minor downside I found during my stay was that the rooms themselves were relatively basic. While they provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, they lacked some of the extra touches and decorative elements that could elevate the overall aesthetic. However, this did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The staff were amazing and friendly. They were very accommodating for my canceled flight and then was very easy to extend my stay. The breakfast was delicious and location was perfect. Would highly recommend
