Most was good with accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was happy with the food that I got, the restaurant was very busy and food looked great. I was sorry that I was not able to sample more. Location was good. Room was warm and quiet. Shower and lighting in the room was good.

The pillows and the mattress are past their sell by date. They have been around the block a few times. They need replacing big time. And a double bed should have a double mattress, not two singles. The lighting on the stairs needs adjustment. Check out the last step on the first flight of stairs going down. I would replace the first bulb with a stronger one as there is a second or two where the lower light does not come on and that last step can be missed and is dangerous. I turned the bed so that it was facing the telly, it was no addition as it was as it was side on and you could not watch the TV if you were in the bed. Turning the bed resulted in showing up that under/behind the bed did not see light in a long time.

This is my third time, I live an hour away in the sticks so when I come to the "big smoke" for a concert or other event I always check here first if a room is available. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are always great. We were here for a gig across the river so were only in the pub for a couple of pints (of exceptionally well kept Guinness) before and after. It can get very busy but there's usually somewhere to perch and a server is on hand within a few minutes of you waiting, they are very attentive and tolerant of attempts at Slovene - and of course their English is excellent. We were in room 1 with the private terrace, such a comfy bed, a hot and spacious shower with shampoo/body wash available, good WiFi and ample storage space. There are even hooks on the back of the door for your coat, something that is oddly missing in many hotel rooms. The private terrace is great although we didn't use it this time as it was -3 outside. Parking close by on Slomškov is usually an issue especially at weekends but if you drive a little further down to Smetanova Ulica there's usually a space, and the gravel car park on the corner on the left at the end of the street is for Uni staff and students in the week but at the weekends the barrier stays up and it's free. Looking forward to the next time we have an excuse to visit Maribor and have a few drinks in a friendly vibrant place.

Nothing negative to report, always an enjoyable budget friendly stay

Liked almost everything, ideal location, perfect room, ideal bathroom. Stayed here many times in the past, and will continue staying again at Patrick's Pub whenever in Maribor :) We appreciated and loved the fact that there are no singe-use toiletries, but refillable soap and shower gel bottles. This is very correct, environmentally friendly and commendable, when other establishment shamefully continue polluting the world with disposable single-use plastics and packaging.

With cleaned showerhead nozzles and mold removed from the shower cabin, Patrick's Pub would deserve 10/10. Hope they keep an eye on this last detail and get to the top :)

The hotel has a restaurant, we had our lunch there on Saturday. I took a steak salad and after that I got very sick. I was shivering and later in the evening I had fever, too. We had to cancel our bycicle-tour. We lost our next hotel (133 euros) and had to book another night at this place (56 euros) and take a bus next morning to home (80 euros). Nobody cared…

very good value for money (really good price), very friendly and helpful stuff, lots of pubs on the street and very close to many landmarks in the Old town

all needed is available but small things can be better -> there was water going out from the shower-cabine when you take a shower, the room was looking above the kitchen so some smell from the kitchen was coming, our room was with two single beds which were not very comfirtable BUT having in mind the price - it was really good!

Everything was great , as previous people have said. Very quiet considering you are upstairs from the pub and a closed street for dining. Room is as the pictures portray.Recommend staying here as its a great location for walking everywhere and seeing the sites of beautiful Maribor. My bad , was not realising it is paid on street parking. Trying to work the pay machine was tricky so had to upload the easypark app , to understand how it works for overnight stays. Tip - it is free after 7pm until 8am the following morning.

Patrick’s Pub Hostel was a gem of a hostel!!! We had the best suite - a 2-bedroom spacious suite! We love the music and din of the nights, like we were being serenaded d every night! It’s location is smack dab in the city center’s Old Town; where the prime dining, pubs, cafes, and shopping are within a few seconds’ access! Parks and vineyards can be accessible by foot, if you like to walk. Train & bus stations are only a 10-min walk! But the best part of Patrick’s is its amazing staff!!! Alexander helped up with our luggages and very accommodating with our requests; Vessna greeted us with her beautiful smiles every morning when she comes and cleans the other rooms & the hostel; Sylvia came out after cooking our order for a huge lunch on our 1st day and welcomed us. Another staff called us a taxi on our last day. Everyone always smiled, we’re very welcoming, friendly, and ready to help!!! We will definitely stay here again and will absolutely recommend to all our family & friends!!! Thanks a million, Patrick’s Pub & Hostel staff for making our vacation soooo memorable!!! We miss it and you all already!!!

Right in the centre of Maribor near to everything, great location. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room clean and bed comfy and is quiet. The outdoor patio is a nice touch too. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food, apart from the chips which were very nice. Great to have the pub downstairs for drinks and cant hear from the room.

The place is very central, close to everything.

The guy that was assigned last Sunday (01/06/25) was very rude, I really think that he needs to do a hospitality course again. Being married to an Irish man, I know what Irish hospitality is and unfortunately I did not experience that when I checked in.

The interior and vibe of the room and pub was really friendly. The room and bathroom was clean. Our window was facing street that is full of other pubs and bars, but it was soundproof,so the chatter wasn't disturbing.

The mattress was too soft, not much comfortable. Also, towels could use some care, they seem not to be in the best condition. The eqiupment of the room could include pot to make tea.
