An optimal place to stay in Ballito, if you want to get most of its seaside nature. Close to the seashore and Thompson's Bay Beach within a 10-15 walking distance. Located on a hill with a good view onto the seaside. Chalets are quite spacious, kitchen equipped with everything one may need. WiFi connection was reliable. Braai available outside. Tennis court, swimming pool and several other facilities on the site. Parking place for a car nearby.

Some minor renovation may make it even better.

The chalet was very comfortable, clean and good value for money. It is very calm and relaxing staying at Chaka's Rock chalets. We loved almost everything about the place. The kitchen was well equipped and the private braai area was lovely.

The chalet advertised in the photos was not at all the chalet we received. The photos shows a beautiful sea view and big lawn while the chalet you receive has partial sea view through parking and other chalets with a very small lawn. Although we still enjoyed it we booked the accommodation specifically for the sea view and big lawn. It should be mentioned that it is general photos and that you are not guaranteed to receive the chalet in the photos.

There were no mops or carpets in the bathroom,. The drainage of the shower is not good,, had to use towels to clean the bathroom

I was upset that they had booked me in a unit across the road when I had specifically stated that I need 1 next to the play area so I can watch over my 3 year old. A lovely lady at reception sorted that out for me after another reception had said there’s no rooms 3bedrooms available. I’m glad she managed to be so helpful and move us to the appropriate chalet.

The chalet across the road, they away from the jungle gym, play area and swimming pools. If you are Travelling with kids I suggest the resort should place you where you will be able to access their facilities hassle free

I loved the clean environment and friendly staff, i was amazed that we were offered complementary popcorn and juice. We enjoyed the amenities and the close location to the beach.

Unfortunately the monkeys were a problem but i understand its nature so there isnt much we can do and also i would like to add that with kids and spills it was difficult to find a mop for cleaning, so i would recommend a mop for the unit, but other than that i have no other issues.

Unit no 6 was stunning,great view of the ocean while you are having a bbq or just relaxing infront of the tv. If you have kids then the jugle gym is right next to unit 6 very safe will definitely revisit Chaka' s Rock Chalets.

The coutch in the living room,needs a bit of TLC or a new one,and then the pillows are a bit to soft for me but that's just me other then that great place.

Absolutely EVERYTHING! I Was SO skeptical of coming here because I had read all the reviews.... But let me tell you, I am so happy I booked there! It's was one of the most pleasant stays we've had. Maggie made sure she gave me exactly what I had asked for. We had a stunning sea view, the place was spacious, clean and very homely. Anything we needed, they sorted out ASAP. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Maggie and Beverly were always there and made sure we were fine. We left our keys there the second day as we went to the beach. They literally phoned myself and my husband who was my emergency contact as he only joined me later, to make sure we were ok as we hadn't come back... What accom8ecen cares that much! :) The cleaners didn't wake us early to clean so we weren't bothered at all. The chalet smelt so clean every day, bedding, towels and linen were changed every week and always looked clean. We are already looking at when we can go back there! The bad comments really don't make sense to me. This place was opposite to what has been written or at least the chalets have been upgraded then.... Don't hesitate to book here! We stayed in a two bedroom chalet and it was perfect! Thank you guys for an absolutely amazing holiday and for taking such good care of us! Can't wait to come back!!!!

Beach view and apartments were clean an staff were very friendly and ,professional and courteous. Whatever i requested was attended to and Maggie at reception went over and beyond her call of duty to assist me. Maggie is an asset to this business and so are all other staff, including security who checked me in at 9.00 pm and directed me to my unit - shout out to the security personnel as well !!

The view was spectacular. Love the facilities provided. Quiet and private. Close to the beach. Clean and air conditioning is provided and fans. Great for kids to. Watch out for the naughty monkeys

Small section of the freezer wasn't sealing properly. Mentioned it. Pots and pans are provided bt seem not good quality for frying. Every stuck to the bottom. .

The view was great, and its perfect for a large family to book. They really catered for us by keeping us all as neighbors which elevated the experience.

I didn't know that some facilities had to be booked, example the Lapa area as we wanted to use that space but we wasn't informed as people had already booked before us.
