This is a nice location for that breakaway from the city rush. The view from the dining room on the wetland was awesome. The owners were friendly and made sure everything you need is in its place. I enjoyed the TV, kettle, fridge in my room. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar are provided. Free WIFI is available and safe parking for your car.

It is like staying at a boarding house. It is a long drive to the nearest convenience store. You need to have your own transport when you stay at this place.

For my needs the location was perfect. The area is very quiet and peaceful. I was upgraded to a room with a lovely view on the vlei which I really appreciated. The bed, pillows and bedding were super comfy and the towels soft and fluffy. WiFi was excellent. I did not verify with the owner, but it looked like loadshedding did not influence the establishment. The host was friendly and instructions for going out and coming in, were clear. Very good variety for a continental breakfast and thank goodness....filter coffee! There were also chocolates and popcorn available, which I unfortunately only discovered in the morning. LOL.

No points subtracted, but the stairs to the rooms are quite something to master.

Vlei Loft offered exceptional value for money for the greater Cape Town area. We felt safe and our car was well protected behind a gate with access-code. The self-help continental breakfast was delicious and generous, with a good variety of foods and drinks. The view over the vlei (estuary) from the first floor common-area veranda (not our room) was special.

Cape Town is known for its traffic congestion during peak hours. Travelling between Vlei Loft and the Cape Town city centre, the Waterfront, and Sea Point and Camps Bay should best be avoided during peak hours.

Excellent hosts! Both bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. Room was very comfortable. Room was serviced daily - very clean and well presented. Self-service breakfast was also good. For the work traveller like myself, lighting, wifi and workspace were excellent! Rechargeable lanterns were provided in room and common area (in the event of load-shedding). Wifi has backup power during load-shedding. The property is in a very safe residential neighborhood - there is keyless entry/exit into the property (via access code).

I like my room it was spacious and clean. Had Wi-Fi the whole duration. The owners were very much kind and friendly. Breakfast was super, too.

The stairs were very complicated and weren't easy to climb. Through it all, the owner assisted me with the bags.

I liked that I felt home at this guest house, it is seldom that I do when travelling and the fact that I forgot my key in the room and Karl was very friendly to open up for me again.

The extractor fan in the bathroom was just very stronge and it was cold in Cape Town so it felt like a breeze coming from underneath the door when getting out a hot shower :)

The facilities at Vlei Lofts were beautiful, very clean and very comfortable. The room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom was lovely. There is a communal kitchen where you can help yourself to breakfast and prepare other meals for yourself. The breakfast was a delicious surprise.

Lovely hosts, incredibly helpful and understanding of our needs. Clean and private rooms, common room looks out to a scenic vlei which distracts from the city feel. Location is central to most Cape Town activities which was perfect. The “make your own breakfast” facility was cleverly thought out. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I really liked Vlei Lofts. Great couple as hosts, we had an interesting talk together. Nice spacious room, Wifi, hot shower, self-made breakfast included with everything you could wish for, great view from the veranda, secure parking, good restaurants in the nearby mall and the beach a short drive away. I would come back anytime, recommended!

The location of Vlei Lofts Guest House is perfect. Located about 1,0km from Paddocks Shopping Centre and 1,2 Km from a main BRT Bus station. Milnerton Beach as well as Sunset Beach are within 5km from the accommodation. The hostess is friendly and accommodating, but not "in your face", which we enjoyed. The breakfast is a self help breakfast with a good selection of cereals, rusks, fruit and yoghurt. Eggs, bread and other baked goods were also available and there is no reason why you should start the day hungry.

I didn't like leaving after only four nights. Wanted to stay longer. I can really not think of anything I did not like. Everything was as advertised, or even better. I highly recommend Vlei Lofts for any visit, business or pleasure.
