This place is absolutely amazing in every way. Breath taking scenery, the food was unbelievably good and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. We saw giraffe, zebra, deer and water hog whilst staying at the property too. The whole place is immaculate, rooms were spacious and full of the amenities you require on vacation.

The exceptional design of the accommodation, built in the mountains so the views were incredible. The photos do not do the place justice. It is even more beautiful in person. Lidia, Giel and family were also lovely, kind hosts. And the food that they made was amazing, and we appreciated them being flexible about dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian). Location wise it is a short (10-15 minutes drive) to Hoedspruit centre, and close to Panorama route.

Everything about the place was exceptional . The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Location is out of this world 👌🏾👌🏾The ladies were so lovely and professional from our arrival their service was so excellent and for that we will definitely come back

Nothing to be honest

The property stylistically is a modern 5 diamond estate with every convenience you could ask for. It is situated in the middle of what you could mistake for the Grand Canyon if it was green. It is heaven on earth. The owners and the staff are wonderful and will make your stay unforgettable.

Having to leave.

Peaceful and confortable house with crazy views! Room and common areas are top notch with a great attention to details. Everyone is really nice and the service is perfect. They make you feel like at home! Food is amazing!

Do yourself a favor. Even if it is just once. Stay at Umvangati House. It is breathtaking and beyond your wildest imagination. The views on the ridge, the incredible architecture, the spectacular food of Chef Liam, the impeccable service, the stunning rooms. Only problem will be: you will not want to leave. Ever.

Gorgeous scenery, friendly service and people, an amazing room with a view, cleanliness, best breakfast ever, helpful information with booking excursions, all over the most beautiful places with most beautiful kind people. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The vistas from the hotel were breathtakingly beautiful. The food was simply delicious and of extraordinary quality. Overall, it was the most amazing stay during our trip in SA.

umVangati House is one of those places you won’t forget. we stayed there for one night and everything was perfect. the hospitality level is exceptional, the dinner and breakfast was excellent, our suite was bug-free and very clean. We enjoyed walking the wooden deck with our binoculars and spot wild Kudu and many birds. I would recommend stay for more than one night, this place is well worth it.
