Hotel is situated in the empty city center. Quite quiet localization but as the hotel staff informed us it is not a safe area. View from 22 floor or the roof was nice. Room was clean and nice, fitness center also. Breakfast and dinner were tasty with variety of dishes.

It is hard for Europeans to stay in a place where walking around “is not recommended”. However, it is a problem of Johannesburg and whole South Africa, not the hotel alone.

The room was spacious with an awesome view. The staff were absolutely accommodating and went the extra mile to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The huge desk allowed me to work in comfort and the cleaning staff made sure the room was spotless. The room on the 21st floor allowed for a great view and allowed for noise control of the busy city below.

The location being in the CBD was a bit of an issue but we never felt concerned about our safety. It was also in close proximity to the university which was made our daily trips very accessible.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I like the idea being used to save electricity (electricity card).

My room was 1414, i think more silicon is needed between the shower glass and the tiles to minimize leakage from the shower to the floor and at times to the mat in the lounge, otherwise...bigger floor towels are needed to block water from the shower. More attention should also be given to the balcony (dusty). TV channels are seriously outdated. Since, there is Wi-Fi, smart TV should be considered for better TV-channel options.

I always stay at at Anew Because Parkington when I’m in Johannesburg. It’s close to the office and is a comfy stay. It’s getting dated and it’s infrastructure isn’t the best but everything works OK. Will be back on my next visit.

The suite was very nice and spacious and very comfortable and clean

The food at the restaurant wasn't nice at all, we ordered starter and mains at the same time and asked that they only start preparing the mains when they bring the starters, so when the starters arrived, i remembered that the waiter didn't ask me how I like my steak to be done, and the waiter told me that they already done with my mains. I didn't wanna course drama, so I just said it's okay. I was very disappointed when the steak that I've been craving for so long came very very well done, so dry I couldn't eat it. So that was literally a 2/10 for me😕

The ladies at the restaurant reception were very kind and supportive. very clean, spacious rooms with lots of natural light and comfortable bed.

The hotel staff prefer to let the client push the luggage trolley to the rooms this was frustrating and i saw other clients struggle too until one guy at the reception volunteered to help in both situations. i never saw the breakfast booking option at booking so we had to pay for breakfast every morning maybe this was my fault.

The staff was super friendly and the location and view of the hotel was awesome. Everything was amazing despite the Johannesburg water crisis. The hotel really went out of their way to make us feel at home and safe.

The shuttle service driver had a bit of an attitude when He had to pick us up but everyone els including the manager made sure we got what we wanted and paid for. The management around the water crisis needs to be reviewed.

The front staff are phenomenal. Especially Ms Ntombi who was so caring. After she allowed my young son and I to leave our bags at reception upon checkout because I had to take him to see a specialist. Upon our return she enquired if everything went well with the Dr, if my son is OK and that made all the difference after a long day! The room itself is very clean, spacious and very comfortable. You'd think because it's in the city it would be noisy but it wasn't

The fridge was not very clean or strong. We were by elevator so it was a bit noisy at first, but OK after awhile. It could use modernized upgrade with furniture, curtains, just aesthetically

I didn't actually end up staying here; the hotel manager ended up taking care of me since there was an event going on, and the hotel would've been quite noisy. She booked me into a different hotel and took care of me the entire way, transporting me and my bags in the hotel shuttle. Unfortunate I couldn't stay there, since the staff seemed super accommodating, but the substitute hotel was okay. I'm not rating this for that, though.

They were able to chance conference venue, take bed out of bedroom and put in a lounge due to bedroom having carpet
