Everything at the hotel is just brilliant, with great facilities, rooms are very clean and comfortable. No noise at all. TV with great channels, and WIFi working properly. The breakfast was succulent.

I ordered few times salads from the menu (room service). The food is tasty, however the portions are very small, and the price is high for such small portions. They could at least add for example a piece of toast/bread to accompany the salad. Second point is: some of the staff at the réception are friendly but other aren’t. Most of them don’t greet even when I greet them; if they are busy with something, they don’t even look at you. I mentioned that for the 3 nights I stayed. Also the porter who brought my luggage to the room is very unfriendly and was just looking to get a tip. However the staff at the breakfast are very friendly and professional.

Excellent location, and staff were always courteous and willing to help. The hotel is attached to a shopping centre which is great. There was construction being done at the shopping centre which created a lot of noise. The evening that we checked in, I asked about the noise, the manager contacted the shopping centre and got the "drilling" noise stopped before evening approached.

I requested a room on higher floor, as I knew that the bar and restaurant can become quite noisy. I still ended up getting a room just above the bar and restaurant. The noise was not heard in my room though.

Provided me with a quiet room as requested to recover during a medical procedure. Staff were polite and courteous - assisting me during my stay as I recovered. The breakfast buffet continues to be a winner and the location at Hyde Park Corner cannot be beat.

Evidently just nitpicking; I find the pillows too solid and firm. The duvet also feels like a winter duvet in it that it feels like I'am being baked while in bed. This comes down to personal preference, but I would have preferred a lighter duvet. While the Smart TV functionality is reasonable, I would have liked the option to use Netflix and YouTube.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and large. I liked the personal welcome message on the TV screen on arrival. The view out of my window was great. Shower and bath tab were great too.

The bed could do with more/warmer beddings in the chilly weather. Avail a robe and slippers in addition to the nice towels. Breakfast though nice, could be improved by a wider variety. I found the same items - baked beans, mushroom, baked tomatoes, sausages, bacon, eggs.

Excellant Value for Money and exceptional Southern Sun service. I was particularly impressed with the Breakfast Manager , who had excellant manners and meticulous attention to detail , without missing a step to ensure prompt service, Jordan politeness , great service and engaging rapport made us feel completely at home .

The check - in did not go as smoothly as there was a confusion with my Surname and our request for an early check in at Midday , was apparently not received ? The lady who checked us in was not very friendly or helpful too? Though to their credit , when I complained , she did ensure that we got arrears room once we checked in later.

My breakfast during my stay was great! It offered a good variety of options, catering to different dietary preferences and health needs. There were plenty of fresh fruits, whole grains, and protein-rich choices like eggs and yogurt, making it easy to find something that suited my taste and kept me energized throughout the morning. The selection was both healthy and flavorful, and I appreciated the variety that ensured there was something for everyone, whether they were looking for a light or more substantial meal.

The hotel shares a building with the Hyde Park mall which was great and very convenient. There are some great and visually appealing restaurants there (I recommend a Japanese restaurant called Kōl Izakhaya). The city view from the superior rooms is stunning at night. The breakfast was great too! I preferred staying in for breakfast knowing I was getting a delicious meal (they have a pancake machine). There is a small gym that works perfect for a short stay. We were impressed with the hotel and will be coming back to stay again.

The only thing I did not enjoy was that the key cards do not work well at all. You have to swipe them in the door and elevator anywhere from 5 to 20 times to get it to work which is VERY frustrating. We were told that these will only be replaced next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the hotel. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were amazing particularly the ever cheerful female chef at the egg station, the waiters (we will never forget Jordan) and the porters. Loved the breakfast, the omelets were my favorite! Really great location and the connection of the hotel to the mall is a huge plus.

The desk lamp did not help much when working at the desk. The room lighting is not bright enough for that purpose.

The reception staff was so welcoming and assisted promptly. The location of the hotel is on point as it is close to the mall. The view is absolutely insane. I also loved the personal touches added (let me not spoil it for others) but it felt like I was expected and I was welcomed in a warm manner so much so that I added another night to my stay. The food was professionally cooked and tasted amazing. Also loved how the pool allows one to have a view of Sandton.

Everything was on point.

The hotel is modern, very good food and excellent service. Large and comfortable rooms and linked to a safe, upmarket shopping mall with nice coffee shops and restaurants. Perfect for a one night stay over between flights! It's well known that Johannesburg is not safe, but this hotel is in a (relatively) safe neighbourhood and the shopping mall can be reached without even stepping out of the hotel. The mall is definitively safe!
