We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was well maintained and we appreciated the space. We are not happy about 1. The cleaning of the room was late especially on Saturday when we had to be outside until they finished cleaning 2. The attitude of staff at reception regarding the item we left behind after checking out yesterday(6/4/2025), when we came back to enquire. We told by the staff that your policy is that you do not call the client if the client does not come back and claim. That in my view is terrible customer service. A WhatsApp message could do. This is spoiling everything. Becuase of this I am not even sure that I will return and even stay at any of your places anywhere else.

Great hotel, excellent location with a modern sharp style. The staff were super helpful and the rooms were great. I think all standard rooms have an interconnecting door to the adjacent room, so convenient for families but might be a negative if you have noise/security concerns. The superior rooms have no such interconnection, so might be worth paying for an upgrade if you it’s an issue for you. Great price, only a stones throw from all the restaurants in Melrose Arch. It is located just outside the gated part of the Arch complex, but this shouldn’t put you off.

The location was perfect for my business dinner - we just walked across the road. The room was excellent, spacious and felt homely rather than a hotel room. The breakfast was great - we used the area for meetings as well.

I can only see 1 issue that is not directly an issue with the Capital but rather Melrose Arch - the gates close at 9pm. This made it easy for us to walk across to dinner but difficult to get back. The security should allow people from the Capital to go through that gate by showing their cards. The Capital management should look into negotiating this with them

I really like the Capital hotels, i stayed in this one (melrose), in sandton and in rosebank and I like this the most! Staff is super friendly, price for what you get is really good, gym is good, and i really enjoyed having the shopping mall in front with so many options available! the apartment was very well equipped.

I like everything, but just to say something i would recommend to add to the rooms: a blanket for the sofa/coach a mini dish soap and laundry soap to do at least one or two washes! a nesspreso machine

The beautiful hotel is next to a very safe area in Johannesburg. The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helped us with our food allergies so much. The chef, Paul himself went to the shop to get us dairy free yoghurt when catering did not deliver. I have never experienced such a caring hotel in my life. Was truly mind blowing. The gym was also outstanding, so we'll equipped. Breakfast was delicious, high quality with a lot of choices and fantastic. I can only recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s proximity to Melrose Arch, very professional reception staff, big lounge- kitchen open plan and serenity of the place. Lastly general cleanliness of the rooms and cleaning team does an amazing job. Thank you for having me. I’m sold you’ll definitely see me again very soon.

Nothing..just a recommendation… perhaps a change of closet door hinges for soft close similarly to the kitchen cupboards ones, current ones turn to bang terribly when closing. But that doesn’t take away from the beauty of the place.

The ability to upgrade ur stay/room to. 2 bed apartment much cheaper,rooms are always fresh and neat,location is directly across melrose arch,staff always wiling to give late check out when available,i like the water bottle top ups each day and left in fridge

Not major but just things to make it perfect,The air cons have a mouldy smell they should service them more often,the exit with vehicle is very narrow if u have a large car/trailer u can see all the marks of cars that have hit that wall

The facilities and utensils are excellent in the panthouse. Service at reception OK was almost threatened that booking was suppose to be canceled because we didn't check in on time but because we fully paid it wasn't. Rather send a sms or email when u see a late check in to advise. Imagine if I had No where to go late at night.

Myself and my husband got sick after our stay there we think the beacon that was served was faulty or off. We had stomach flu and had to visit the Dr. We suggest the food gets checked please. Either than that we really enjoyed our stay and the staff at the diner where extremely Profesional and nice.

Cleanliness: cleaning and linen change was done everyday.

The place was a bit too noisy and clouded the first few days I was there, possibly because of some junior football teams they were hosting.

I had such a rough day before getting there, and the kindness that caught me by surprise there warmed my heart. Can't explain but the place was just what I needed. God bless you all. Breakfast was great. Staff absolutely made the stay worth it. I can't really complain about anything. I honestly would come again.
