This guest house is a gem. The location, the room and the owner, Mike, is so welcoming and friendly. Situated on Leisure Isle overlooking the lagoon and opposite nature reserve - just gorgeous! The house has 3 small pools, a lovely reception & dining area and a well stocked honesty bar. The rooms are bright and modern with a small fridge and tea & coffee facilities. Freshly cooked breakfast with the added freshly baked lemon & poppy seed muffin was just delicious 😀

Everything closed by 6pm. So there’s nowhere to walk out to for something to eat. We found a lovely restaurant overlooking the headland, which was a great spot, but we had to drive back out and it closes at 10pm. Be prepared.

We were very impressed with Mike the owner who was a fountain of knowledge, suggesting the best local hotspots to visit. He immediately made us feel very welcome, relaxed and at home. He was on hand and present throughout breakfast, which was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice and plenty of it. The breakfast chef and our room cleaner were both friendly and full of smiles at all times. We loved our comfortable room, very spacious, spotlessly clean with everything we needed and could want. We had two wonderful nights sleep on a super comfortable bed. Great idea having an honestly bar filled with a great variety of drinks. The views from our room were spectacular!

Everything was spot on! Didn’t want to leave, wish we had arranged to spend an extra couple of nights at this fabulous guest house!

The accommodation was amazing and we would highly recommend a stay at this place. Leisure island is a very calm and beautiful place. Everything in the house looked exactly like in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. We got upgraded and the sea view was stunning. The host was very friendly and gave us a lot of helpful recommendations for the area. The breakfast was very tasty. We would love to come back for a longer stay one day!

This was one of the nicest Guesthouses that we have ever stayed at for a number of reasons. Firstly, Mike the owner was incredibly friendly and took great care of us while we were there. He gave us excellent advice and ideas of what to do in the area. We loved it so much here we ended up staying an extra two nights! The location is spectacular, it is situated on beautiful Leisure Island and the guesthouse is right across the road from Bollards Bay. The facilities here were amazing, our room was so clean, comfortable and very spacious. The breakfasts served each morning were delicious, there were freshly made muffins each day. We couldn’t say enough positive things about our experience here, we loved every minute and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to South Africa.

The Location was beautiful with excellent views and a lovely view of the lagoon Mike was a fabulous host, engaging, willing to oblige on all questions asked, with great knowledge of the area and surroundings. Mike was very accommodating allowing us to park a trailer safely on his property. There is an honesty bar, a good breakfast room - Mike is hands on at breakfast, willing to crack on with personal service

There is nothing to not like . If you like a quiet restful place, with great views, good staff - this is it.

Very nice and quiet located guesthouse on Leasure Island (the name is program). We were staying in room no. 1 which and had a fantastic view to the lagune. Everything was fine, especially Mike and his team are a huge pluspoint. The breakfast is great ad well.

Both pools were not really clean, but that was also because of the wind. Finally we dicided to go to the nice beach right in front of the house.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Mike‘s Bollard Bay House. Located on Leisure island (secure and no big fences or walls around houses) it is just a few steps to the white beach and the lagoon. Rooms are spacious, immaculate clean and modern with great views. Breakfast is delicious and two pools with enough sunbeds are there for relaxing. Mike is great and very sympathetic and has always good recommendations what to do or where to eat. Highly recommended to stay at his B&B

Everything was perfect.

Everything was perfect! The house is located in the very calm and beautiful Leisure island, with a great view on the lagoon. The rooms are tastefully furnished and Mike is a great host. He was so kind to upgrade our rooms at no cost, as we were the only guests in the house, and provided plenty of helpful tips to visit the area. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is simple but delicious.

Lovely room looking onto the pool and overlooking the lagoon. Very comfortable beds. Warm welcome from our host who saw that we were comfortably settled even though he does not live on site. The next morning he was back to supervise our breakfast. We have stayed at this property before and would happily revisit again

The location was stunning and host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, we only stayed 1 night but would gladly return for a little longer.

It would be helpful if the check-in process was clearer upon booking, we were not aware that we would need the host to great us on arrival, we felt awful for the inconvenience it caused as we arrived quite late.
