It was just an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. A beautiful B&B is situated within walking distance to the beach. Well located to allow exploration of the garden route. Diane and Rob were so welcoming and accommodating. We were upgraded to the 'Sam Room'- a wonderful suite with its own sitting area and garden with its own private access. The room was large and comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The breakfast was incredible, with a wide selection of homemade deliciousness as well as a different breakfast special each morning. We had some cloudy weather during our stay. However, with Diane and Rob's assistance, we were not short of activities or the best table bookings at the local restaurants. Every little detail is taken care of, and nothing is too much to ask. Diane quickly noticed my love of tea and, without asking, stocked our room so we wouldn't run out. Their years of travelling and experience are clearly evident from their customer service (although we left feeling more like family than customers), well thought out breakfast menu and expert knowledge of the area (activities and restaurants). The B&B is situated on Leisure Isle, which has a beautiful beach and Steenkamp nature reserve- perfect for afternoon walks. If you're planning a trip to Knysna (or the Garden Route), as a couple/family/group of friends, this is definitely the place to stay.

Thoroughly impressed by the hospitality and charm of this wonderful guest house and its hosts, Diane and Rob. ROOM • The room was incredibly spacious (huge bathroom) and so tastefully decorated with a delightful color scheme, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Attention to detail second to none - loved the small library. • Everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and all the amenities were readily available. • Enjoyed spending time on the balcony, watching the birds and taking in the sunset. LOCATION • Situated in Leisure Isle, the location was idyllic and perfect for a peaceful getaway. • The area is rich in enthralling history, adding a layer of intrigue to our stay. Advise a Featherbed Nature Reserve tour to learn more about the area and to savour stunning views. • Felt safe and secure throughout visit at all hours, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy time there. HOSTS You really would be hard pressed to find more affable and easy-going hosts. They went above and beyond in ensuring that you were comfy, relaxed and had all info you needed to have an incredible stay. Unparalleled customer service is definitely front and center of their agenda. • Diane and Rob were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrived. • Diane is a fantastic communicator, always on hand, providing reassurance and great recommendations with all the accurate links, no doubt (restaurants etc.) before, during, and after trip. Thank you for checking in and following up after we left! • Rob was most generous with his time and also offered invaluable advice on places to visit, enhancing our overall experience. The property was clean, spacious and the hosts were exceptionally hospitable. Rob and Diane clearly went out of their way for all their guests to make it a very personal experience for everyone. We particularly liked the breakfast home made touches and daily breakfast specials they offered which were delicious. They really have thought about the details which make a good place great and memorable. Thankyou so much, from people who don’t normally write reviews we really had to this time.

Our recent stay at One On Bollard was absolutely amazing. The rooms were comfortable, spacious with all the extras that you could possibly need. Breakfast offered a variety of wholesome and delicious options. The hosts, Rob and Diane are phenomenal and really created an atmosphere of relaxation during our vacation. I would highly recommend this family friendly hotel to anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful sights, views, sea and surroundings of Leisure Island, Knysna.

The friendly reception set the tone for our visit The rooms were beautifully decorated and appointed with everything one needed and then some. The breakfasts were of the best ever encountered with the daily specials world class.Diane and Rob go out of their way to make one feel at home. The gardens are magnificent and the location perfect, just half a block from the beach. The best B&B we have ever stayed in and highly recommended

One on Bollard is more than a home away from home. It’s the beautifully decorated and very comfortably furnished home of Diane and Rob who are the most welcoming hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They have made every effort to ensure guests are not only comfortable in their home but in Knysna. They offered great advice on places to visit and things to do. Our room was very comfortable and large with a lovely private garden. Their home is on leisure island which is lovely area with beautiful homes and very nice beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love the opportunity to return. Thank you, Diane and Rob for your very kind hospitality.

Location The location was remarkable. Situated on beautiful Leisure island. We just had a super short walk to the beach. Everything felt super safe. Accommodation The guesthouse had beautiful interior and lovely details. The owners have really thought of providing everything to have a carefree stay, e.g beach bag with towels. What was best about the stay were definitely the hosts, who made our family feel welcome from minute one. They had great tips for trips and activities and even booked tables at restaurants for us. Definitely recommend staying here!

Diane and Rob were the most wonderful hosts, really helpful with ensuring we did all the best things and ate at the best places and such lovely people, nothing felt like a bother. Our room (gizmo) was really comfortable and everything we could possibly need (and more) was provided... the attention to detail is exceptional (even the hair dryer was great!). The breakfast was spectacular, virtually everything home made, with different special cooked breakfast every day (they have 32 apparently) and different flavoured fresh muffins... our little boy LOVED them! The island itself is like a hidden gem, tranquil, beautiful and safe. I couldn't recommend more highly and hope to visit again soon.

The hosts are the most charming people you are ever likely to meet … going above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect .. our room Had an exquisite private garden filled with exotic plants .. two sun loungers and an outdoor table too … we could also exit from our room via the garden to get to our car without going through the main house so if you are looking for privacy … Rob lent us his kayak to go out onto the lagoon .. and Dianne placed a bottle of bubbly in our fridge as thanks for walking their beloved dog Max around the island … something we had desperately asked if we could do .!!!!A real gem of a place ..perfectly located and so very close to the beach . Dianne and Rob could simply not have made us feel more welcome and we cant wait to come back next year !!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at One on Bollard, along with the lovely accommodation and high standard of everything in the rooms, the hosts really did made this an extra special visit, making sure we would enjoy our time in the local area just as much as that spent within the accommodation. Personal touches were appreciated and special breakfasts were fantastic! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Knysna.
