Fantastic location and brilliant room. Needed to speak with the manager (think she was the housekeeping manager?) and she was great - professional, understanding, and responsive.

The kitchen staff played loud music (our room was above them) after the restaurant closed at night. On 2 nights I had to get out of bed after 10.30pm to go down and ask them to be considerate with the noise levels. I was told the second time that they were not part of the hotel and that I was not the first to complain and I should suggest to the hotel to put in sound proofing. Thankfully after talking to a hotel manager (as above) she ensured it was quite for our last night.

A Memorable Stay at Brenton Haven Hotel My husband and I recently spent three wonderful nights at the Brenton Haven Hotel in South Africa, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. I’d like to particularly highlight Cassie, the receptionist at the restaurant, who made us feel incredibly welcome. She ensured we were seated with a spectacular view of the coastline at night, which added a magical touch to our dining experience. Bianca, the F&B manager, was also very kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our waiter, T, deserves special mention for being extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. His recommendations led us to enjoy some of the most delicious meals we’ve ever had – the lamb chops and sushi were absolutely out of this world. We were also fortunate to meet Patrick, the talented chef behind the perfectly grilled lamb chops. With over 30 years of experience, Patrick truly works magic on the grill, and we felt privileged to enjoy the fruits of his expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend the Brenton Haven Hotel, especially the Blu Restaurant, to anyone looking for an exceptional dining and hospitality experience in or around Knysna.

I must say their restaurant is one of the best I have even eaten at. The food is out of this world, we tried all the dishes and we were impressed all the time. Wether you are a vegetarian, vegan or meat lover they are catered. Big ups to the chef indeed, loved their sushi so much best I have tried. We did sightseeing during the day and made sure to always come back for dinner. The waiters were always friendly and there to assist you. Thank you Bianca for welcoming us from the first day and being very accommodating until the last day. The villas are homely and the view to the sea was the highlight for us. The place is quite and peaceful, Its definitely on our list to bring the kids and family next time.

Room service was a downfall for me, the first two days it went very well but started to drop in standard. Wifi is one of the downfall for this beautiful place as we loose connections and rely on wifi when we make a booking. Unfortunately in the villas the coverage is bad but when seated in the restaurant it works well.

The room was clean and comfortable, the view from the room was to die for, I really enjoyed every day on this stay. I don't mind coming back again and with the kids this time. Their lunch was amazing we had beef burger it was really nice and freshly prepared

The breakfast does not come with fruits or yoghurt, there is no variety of options to choose from when having breakfast. If you are not booking a car hire, its a bit difficult to get an Uber however we were assisted by Chaya Shuttles which was very professional and always on time for our trips.

The hotel suite was above my expectations in terms of view. We did however rearrange some chairs in order to sit with a glass of wine and capture the spectacular sunsets The suite was otherwise really spacious and quiet . The bathroom was also quite luxurious.. The hotel restaurant has the most amazing sushi chef and it has wood burners for when it’s cool. I was also very impressed with the hotel’s sustainability as there were enough solar panels to easily satisfy most of the hotels energy needs.

The only vague negative was that we had to ask for extra shower gel and soap.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived (Lungi at the front desk) , the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room was beautifully designed, offering comfort and luxury with breathtaking views. Every detail, from the cleanliness to the amenities, was thoughtfully taken care of. The food at the restaurant was exceptional, and the service was impeccable. My entire stay was an absolute joy, and I look forward to returning soon. A true 5-star experience!

Firstly - outstanding service from absolutely everybody! Units are well appointed. You can choose a 1,2 or 3 bedroom unit. We had a 1 bedroom unit which was just lovely! Guest toilet bonus! The views and the beach access is great! Plenty parking. Great restaurant ( book in advance in peak season) and a great cafe/deli for the best sushi, pizza and artisanal sour dough bread! Great coffee! We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you

I liked the stunning view that we had all together loved our balcony with the braai area where we spent most of our nights.. we were so close to the beach walking distance. The property itself was very clean and had a cleaner that came to clean everyday which was very nice.. slept like a baby on the comfortable beds. The stay was very nice!!
