Beautiful setting with views over the lagoon. Our room was kindly upgraded during our stay as it was quiet, was clean and very spacious. The full house omelette at breakfast was absolutely delicious! Staff all very helpful and friendly, couldn’t do enough for you to ensure you had a comfortable stay.

As we came during a quieter period of the year, at times were the only people staying at the property. We were a little conscious of returning to the property late for the team to lock up the main doors if we had gone out for dinner and drinks. This is no fault or reflection of Kanonkop House or their brilliant staff, but just our feeling when going out on evenings during the off-peak season!

Beautiful position and definitely need to book the rooms in the house to get the wonderful views . All drinks, whatever we wanted were inclusive which was fab !! The suites in the house are amazing and we definitely would book one of those next time

Nothing negative it’s a shame we couldn’t eat dinner at the property and the Boma was cancelled due to the weather forecast so disappointing but we were informed before our arrival so were able to book sirocco for dinner and that was fab and only 260 R return for the taxi to Thesen island .

Absolutely loved our stay. Adelle and Mark and all of their staff made us feel like we were at home. Adelle cooked a wonderful breakfast for me, catering to my allergies and vegan dietary requirements and each day was tastier than the last! The guest house is beautiful, comfortable, and very peaceful. Overall the stay was perfect. Would highly recommend and I'm looking forward to us going back there!

This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at! And we have travelled quite a bit over the years. The view is stunning (especially if you have a room that overlooks the lagoon). The pool is the cleanest we have seen in south africa and has nice and comfortable chairs. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was also great. The staff was the friendliest we have met and very helpful with anything. But mostly we loved how thoughtful, welcoming and kind the owner Mark was! He treated us like family. We would recommand this place to anyone who asks!

Everything was perfect.

It’s in a fabulous position overlooking the Knysna lagoon. Our bedroom was more of a suite so it was very comfortable and spacious. Mark is a warm and friendly host. It’s a secured property making you feel safe at night.

The only challenge was the mirror in the lovely bathroom . It is made with a dark tinted glass which makes it extremely hard to apply makeup or see to shave.

An exceptional guest house, beautiful design and spectacular location. Very welcoming hosts and staff. Delicious breakfast in spacious patio. Heated swimming pool in lush garden setting. Easy parking. Generator on-site so no load shedding issues. This was a truly perfect stay, and we will be back.

Spectacular views, beautiful room, comfortable and clean, excellent staff, Liesl and team were amazing. Owner Mark was super helpful and friendly, he certainly sets the trend and energy at this establishment. Breakfast was delicious, my daughter devoured the pancakes. Thank you Liesl for the awesome suggestions made on activities to do, where to visit and eat. She considered our special vegetarian diet and suggested accordingly, outstanding suggestions. Wished we had more time to spend.

Nothing to complain about, we were sad to leave.

Nothing to dislike

Professional, warm, and super accommodating staff who went above and beyond to assist with several requests - from restaurant bookings to taxi services, special dietary requirements, and more. Special mention to Liesl and Rico. Stayed in the penthouse suites - superb views over the lagoon; suites are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Complimentary drinks from the mini bar are a nice touch and the gin cocktails mixed by Rico were an added treat. Yay for the staff who found medication I had misplaced and returned it to my room.

Friendliness, cleanliness, location. What the host provided for us , free bar services,,, how our stay was made to be special. The upgrade to the other room which such spectacular views. Indeed everything was excellent ..
