What a warm welcome from the receptionist on check-in. She made us feel at home and she offered us welcoming drinks which we felt very welcomed.The place is beautiful it indeed a 4*

The treatment of Black to black service is disgusting…e.g the cleaning lady ask my children if she can clean their room with a funny face ,she was bored , instead of her doing what she is supposed to do.The waiter on breakfast refused to assist us when we were changing Tables ...We had to remove our own stuff and the treatment they were rendering to white people was totally different from us that got us very upset.This is a 5*we are expecting more .

Booked a nights stay for us to enjoy having hosted a special private family gathering/lunch at the hotel private function room. The staff at the hotel couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful in the arrangements for this special occasion. Nothing was too much trouble for the team that helped us arrange our event. The food was incredible, the grounds and gardens are spectacularly looked after and the rooms are so comfortable! Wonderful breakfast included. All the staff serving were a delight, showcasing the best of South African hospitality! I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thank you so much!

As I stepped into the hotel, I was immediately welcomed by warm smiles and offered a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. The attentive staff quickly assisted me with my bags, guiding me through the main entrance and into the hotel's exquisite gardens. After a long day of travel, I decided to order room service and was delighted by the delicious meal that arrived promptly. The room is comfortable and quiet, perfect for a restful night's sleep. The suite was meticulously clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with ambient lighting. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful layout of both the room and bathroom. The suite was also equipped with amenities including a coffee machine, mini fridge, TV, laundry service, and plush bathrobes. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will happily return.

The WiFi can be slow and spotty, and the single room is designed for those who prefer to dine out as it doesn’t include self-catering facilities. The door rattles in heavy winds which can be startling especially during the night.

We truly appreciated the seamless check-in process and the warm hospitality from the staff—it set the tone for a wonderful stay. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, and the beautifully maintained landscaping added a serene touch to the experience. There’s a visible joy in the plants that reflects the care given to every corner of this place. The food was absolutely delicious, and every detail spoke of thoughtful excellence. Everything was perfect. I rate the place 100/10. The place was super serene. I felt like I was dreaming the entire time. Every member of their staff was super friendly and willing to help. The place is way more beautiful in person than in pictures, it’s dreamy. I definitely recommend it. When I say everything was perfect I mean EVERYTHING: GARDEN, STAFF, ROOMS, SWIMMING POOL,RESTAURANT, TENNIS COURT, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!!!!

Nothing. THE PLACE IS PERFECT

We liked everything. We first stayed here in 2018, just after it had reopened following the devestating wild fires of 2017. Everything was brand new then, and 6 years later, the same high standards and quality have been maintained. The only difference, the gardens have now matured and are beautiful.

Only one niggle, I am dairy free, and usually opt for a vegan dessert, there was only 1 option on the menu.

The estate was well laid out. The small details were excellent. I particularly loved the L'Occitane bathroom products. I wanted to keep washing my hands..🤗 the capsule coffee ☕️ machine in the room another premium touch. Also the thought to put an umbrella in each unit, which helped during the rain on the day we left. Beds were comfy with good room lighting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the grounds are well maintained.. would have loved to stay longer.. Indeed a special place. Would highly recommend it 👌

There were no poppadoms served with my lamb curry!! They had run out..

Stunning bedroom suite, exquisite gardens and pool areas. Lovely onsite restaurant. Paddle courts. Great value for money. Less than 5 mins to waterfront

One tiny point - personally think the buffet breakfast should be scrapped and just do a la carte breakfast which looked so much nicer and had much more choice. Would have happily paid a bit more for this option.

The property is Amazing and clean Very new furniture and spacious There croissant were absolutely delicious

Some of the staff were not friendly They also told us at 10 pm no staff will be around No security only the gates will be closed No service or front disks so if you were outside for any reason or stuck with no key you might not be able to find anyone which made us uncomfortable

It was a lovely 2 days spent with you. We particularly enjoyed your restaurant and the food. It’s great to be able to enjoy a glass of wine, and not to have to drive anywhere afterwards. The swimming pool was a most welcome addition in the hot weather.

We stayed in chalet number 18. While it was absolutely lovely, and well appointed, comfortable and gorgeous, there is a pool filter shed behind the room, and it made a sizeable noise all night. That is the ONLY complaint we had.
