Our stay at your beautiful property in Knysna was nothing short of magical. Hudson Manor is an absolute paradise — a stunning blend of art, nature, and comfort that instantly made us feel at peace. Every corner of the house tells a story, every piece of art adds soul, and the lush natural surroundings create an atmosphere that’s both inspiring and calming. The house (a true Manor) is very well located with great views of the lagoon/estuary and the surrounding forests. It is also nicely decorated with beautiful paintings from local artists. The site is big and very well maintained with nice lawns, flowers and vegetables. The room was very comfortable, well decorated and great space. Breakfast was very good with ample choice (Thank you Happy). Our hosts treated us like extended family, and we really felt like at home.

Breakfast was superb, and the staff/chef were very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. Food was really good and lots of fresh ingredients, many grown on the property Bed was comfortable

We did point out to the owner that we had booked a specific room on the Booking.com website, and this information did not get through to the hotel. They will be fixing this. The room we were allocated was nice, which a view over the veggie garden (nice) and not with the lagoon view. The rate was a bit high for what was on offer, but as the owners pointed out, the majority of their guests are coming from outside of Africa and therefore US$,GBP, Euro, etc

What truly set our experience apart were the people, especially Bryan, Happy, and the owners. Bryan and Happy were consistently perfect in their service. Their professionalism, combined with a genuinely caring attitude, made us feel incredibly welcome and valued. They were always there to assist us, ensuring that every detail of our stay was taken care of seamlessly. The owners of the hotel also deserve special mention. Their passion for hospitality shines through in every corner of the hotel. They have created an atmosphere that is both luxurious and homely, making every guest feel like part of the Hudson Manor family.

We really loved our stay at Hudson Manor . The views were breathtaking and the accommodation was perfect for a family , it felt luxurious but also homely . Our rooms were beautifully decorated and very spacious. I’m a coffee person so really appreciated the coffee station with rusks in our room .Our toddler loved the play area and interacting with Emily the resident dog . The breakfast spread was super fresh and delicious and the staff were so warm ,welcoming and eager to please.

Everything was perfect about this property. The owner is developing the estate into a eco resort and it will be exceptional when completed. The manor is situated in the centre of the estate towards the end of a long entrance driveway. The location is very secure. Our en-suite room was exceptional situated around a central courtyard garden filled with Jasmine and many other plants and flowers. Breakfast was taken in the main dining/kitchen area and cooked to order along with the usual cereal and cold meats. The staff were so helpful. But the icing in the cake for my wife and I was being invited into the owners TV room to watch the Rugby World Cup final and enjoy a few beers and wine with he and his wife. What a superb touch. This will be our must stay property on our next visits to Knysna.

Friendly host , very accommodating staff, clean, exceptional views, quiet farm with 5 star accommodation, breakfast very intimate and good quality , freshly prepared fruit salad, artisanal breads and fresh brewed coffee , my 5 year old son was able to fish at the dam he had loads of fun.

The place is spacious with a very good view to Knysna lagoon, also full of fruit trees and lovely veg garden, fresh eggs from chickens… The hosts and helpers are very friendly and helpful, there was a hot water issue during our stay but they came assist immediately and offer the alternative. The location is convenient to everywhere but we also enjoyed just relaxing and chill in the estate which surrounded by a sweet dog Emily, playful cats(ginger and shadow), birds, deer… very tranquil and peaceful stay.

Just a suggestion, it would be nice to have a full body sized mirror in the president’s suit.

The whole experience was outstanding.We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property and hosts were excellent and the views out of this world. fantastic value.

Guest house is set on top of the hill overlooking Knysna river and hills. Views are stunning as well well kept expansive gounds. rooms are spacious. Knysna town is easily accessible with short car ride. Greg (the owner) is very helpfull with any isses. Beakfast is extensive and varied

Breakfast starts at 9 a.m only and takes an hour as service is extremely slow.
