Breakfast options for our group of 7 adults and 2 children was very satisfying. From the self-service cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, coffee to numerous warm dishes prepared by the friendly staff, we found this the perfect beginning of two busy days. Our rooms were spacious, clean, well appointed, plenty of electrical outlets etc etc. The ceiling fan was very welcomed given warmer outside temps and any traffic noise was hardly noticed with windows closed and the fan on. The 25 minute walk to many shops and restaurants did the car-weary legs lots of good!

The tight, winding drive approach to the property was challenging the first time up but given the less than adequate parking at many local hotels, i'll take the challenge presented here any day! There were plenty of parking spots in close proximity to the room once at the building level . My one grandchild was disappointed that we couldn't stay longer!

We loved our stay at this beautiful guesthouse. The owner couple were lovely and the rooms and facilities beautiful with an amazing view over the lagoon! The breakfast was delicious and the service excellent! We would love to come back and can highly recommend this guesthouse! We received a warm welcome, the room was very comfortable. Conveniently close to everything. Access to kitchen facilities was provided upon request. Superb views of the lagoon! Wonderful hosts!

The smell of fresh paint in the bathroom was a bit overpowering, but perhaps the wet weather had not allowed much time for airing.

We loved our 2 days in Knysna and one of the many highlights was the stay at Phoenix Lodge. I don't think another property has this view of the Knysna Heads as this place does. Sunrises here are mesmerizing and I can't wait to come back. Breakfast was delicious! This is definitely the place to choose in Knysna

Gill and her husband are great hosts. They lit a lovely fire for us while we watched the rugby. It really created a very cosy atmosphere!

The bed we slept in, felt like it had collapsed on the one side causing me to roll to the edge the whole time

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. Perfect for a quick, relaxing stopover. Highly recommended!

Courteous, friendly hosts who were amenable to a late check in time, incredible views and a great breakfast available on site, catering to halal customers on request. Within walking distance of local restaurants, a wonderful place to spend some time in Knysna.

More importantly is the sea view. There was a choice of variety when it comes to restaurant in the area. Wifi was working well.
