Our one-night stay at Skeiding Guest Farm was nothing short of magical, we only wish we could’ve stayed longer. The accommodation was absolutely perfect: cozy, beautifully maintained, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel truly welcomed. The fireplace was pre-packed and ready to light, adding a warm, inviting ambiance to our evening. Dinner was an unforgettable experience. The food was prepared with incredible care and passion, cooked to perfection over an open fire right in the restaurant. Every dish was served with genuine love, and you could taste the difference. And then there was breakfast… hands down the best I’ve ever had at any accommodation, fresh, generous, and absolutely delicious. Skeiding is a place where you feel not just like a guest, but like a cherished visitor. We will absolutely return and recommend it with all our hearts.
There was nothing not to like.

Supplied enough wood for the indoor fireplace, the outdoor braai, and the braai pack was very nice. Also supplied a complimentary bag of braai wood. Breakfast was quite good and don't get me started on the location. Pure bliss. Staff and management were great. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, rusks all provided. Well-supplied honesty bar in the main house and soft drinks available in the unit's fridge.
I stayed in the studio Porcupine room, so it may just be this particular unit but the hot water pressure was a bit low.

Amazing panorama, great hosts, best breakfast we ever had on the Garden Route, nice pool, absolutely friendly staff and hosts. If you love nature and great food (dinner and breakfast was amazing!!!) and want to enjoy some relaxed days, this farm is absolutely perfect. We are from Germany and stayed with our 3 little kids already the second time for three nights (2021 and 2024) and would definitely come again! We all loved the farm tour in the morning and the dinner which the brought to our house (perfectly warm, fresh, abundant and flexible)

Lovely farm setting in impressive landscape. Very comfortable room with lots of nice touches. Sune was an excellent hostess - in fact she seemed to do everything including grilling wonderful steaks over an open fire in the dining room. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was superb. There was a local country band playing through dinner (great fun, but pretty loud which made conversation difficult). A helpful farm worker sorted out a loose number plate for us, and we went for a nice long walk, which was rather needed after a long day in the car.
Nothing we didn’t like, except possibly the ill fitting door to the bathroom in our room which was a rather strange hanging/sliding one.

We absolutely adored our stay here. We had a really delicious home cooked braaipak when we arrived. We cooked the ostrich meat on the braai at our 2 bed cottage and there was a delicious veggie bobotie and yummy sides and dessert. The views from the cottages were beautiful and there was a kids play area right outside, so it was ideal. We especially enjoyed the farm tour in the morning, visiting the springbok, zebras, ostrich, sheep, chickens and pigs. The dogs were lovely and very impressive at rounding up the sheep. We enjoyed feeding the ostrich and Neel’s was very knowledgeable, so we felt we learnt lots well. We then had a delicious breakfast with homemade jams, home made bread and an ostrich egg omelette. It really was a highlight of our 4 week trip and much more enjoyable than the hotels that we stayed at. More enjoyable than staying in the city as there was more space for the kids to run around and felt very safe.
There isn’t really anything we didn’t like. It was very rustic and it’s a farm, so it isn’t the same degree of cleanliness you would have at a hotel. There were also crickets and moths and insects around in the cottage, which you would expect in rural locations.

Such friendly owners and very talented at making you welcome, cooking, little touches that make everything exceptional. Anné-Lize is one of the best hostesses we’ve ever had and her husband, Neels, is a wizard on the braai (the dinner and breakfast are fantastic - a must-do if staying here!). Beautiful spacious cottage and very comfortable bed. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Wonderful place in "the middle of nowhere". Ostrich farm with fun excursion in the morning. You can then feed the animals and take the cart through the fields in search of zebras, among other things. In the evening you can dine there with very tasty ostrich steak. It is also good for walking. Host and hostess are very friendly and pleasant.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. The breakfast was one of the best we experienced during our time in South Africa. Dinner was a lovely experience…enjoyed watching it being cooked on the open fire and it was cooked to perfection! The farm tour was informative and fun!
I can’t think of anything!

Lovely cottages, very nicely decorated. With the available equipment, you can easily stay here a week or more. There are 2 bedrooms, large open kitchen, a cozy living room and a nice fireplace. Outside you have your own patio, also with a fireplace. The location is very remote, which makes it excellent. Dinner and breakfast is served in the nice dining room. I'm guessing they do lunch too. Food was very good, at a fair price. If you want, you can take a farm tour in the morning.
Nothing bad really, but if any, the bathroom is rather small, compared to the other spaces.

We stayed there with 6 people for 1 night in 3 different rooms. The rooms were all okay, each has his specific flair. The farm overall is nice and huge, you can see the ostrichs from the main house. We also had a lot of fun with the 2 farm dogs. The dinner was great, also the breakfast had everything you need.
There was 1 negative thing - during breakfast the farm owners did not care about the farm dogs and they took some food from the buffet as well, which was a bit disgusting for us.
