What a gem! Located on a scenic and historic road, this guest house is close to excellent restaurants and has everything you need for a perfect stay. We loved our time here. The staff were fantastic—efficient, attentive, and always on the ball. The guest house rooms open onto a beautiful pool, which was an absolute treat in the summer heat. A good breakfast, great coffee, and convenient off-street parking made our stay even better. We were blown away by the value for money and will definitely be back.

The bed (queen) was a little small but still very comfy.

It's situated very much in the center of Swellendam, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was really nice and very friendly staff.

The first room had everyone passing by as it's just by the parking and as a smoker there was no place to sit outside without everyone passing right by you. After 2 nights I told the receptionist who kindly moved me to a room right in the corner. It was a bigger room a family room and all though it was much better it did need a proper deep clean. Dirt on the block out curtains, on bed side tables etc. However the bed was clean and the bathroom so it wasn't filthy, just could use a little more deep clean.

It was my first time staying at Aan de Eike and it truly exceeded my expectations. The location is ideal & the rooms are modern & spacious with an outside terrace area overlooking the swimming pool. Franklin at reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly. There is off-site secure parking & one of the staff members washed all the in-house guests cars as part of their service offering, which I was really impressed by. We will definitely be back, a real gem!

Comfortable and very clean. Great staff, very friendly and professional. Beautiful restaurant, pool, and garden area. Rooms are soundproof, and the aircon is almost silent, soft buzz, loved that. We enjoyed a good sleep. Parking is very safe and secure.

The curtains looked untidy at the top, as some hook railings seemed to be missing or not enough was added to make drapery hanging nicely, it brings down the standard of the stay. I know it's not a deal breaker, but rooms can appear to be more luxurious by attending to finishing touches like that (only our personal observation).

We stayed in Aan de Eike Guest House for one night only. Nevertheless we can strongly recommend that place to everybody starting from families with kids and ending with solo travellers. This place has a very good location in a safe area close to good restaurants. Our room was big, well equipped and clean.

Breakfast was rather limited and simple. Further, it would be nice to be better prepared for loadshedding! Please install solar panels or power generators. Because of load shedding I left my flip flops at the swimming pool area and forgot them for good. I hope you didn't throw them away and they serve someone else :-)

Specific to room number 3; (Newer rooms are better planned and equipped) Poor ventilation in the bathroom (No window with a non-functional/ noisy extractor fan) The roller blinds are not very functional (When you close them for privacy you need to switch on the lights) Kitchen noise in the early hours of the morning (room next to kitchen)

Wow. You walk thru the restaurant and step outside, what catches your eye is the pool with all the sun lounges and trees for shade. Stayed in no 8. Had all the amenities that is needed. Spent the afternoon in the pool. The room was comfy, Brekkies in the morning in the restuarant was delicious. Beautiful surroundings and then it was time to leave. I really enjoyed my stay..

I can't fault them. It was truly a wonderful stay.

Clean spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning . This was way and above our expectations and we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone touring South Africa

We were awakened when a group of bikers returned from their dinner and decided to stay up partying until after midnight. We know this was beyond the control of the establishment and completely understand.

Beautiful pool with views to the mountains. Fantastic location near Drostdy museum/area. Safe parking. Easy access to room with luggage. Buffet breakfast with a decent choice of food. Friendly staff at check in & breakfast.

Our room was a little dark as not much natural light came in. Rooms showing some signs of wear & tear but were clean & I feel the price reflects this.

Breakfast was excellent and the venue for the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The location was excellent and close to shops and other restaurants. Had the opportunity to visit two of the three museums as well as a spa that was close by. The people were all friendly and helpful.

Only breakfast and lunch is available. Not being able to enjoy dinner on site was an inconvenience as most of the other venues were fully booked until Sunday evening. Dinner can, however be arranged in advance.
