This was the second time that we stayed at the lodge and it was just as we had remembered. The room is very nicely laid out and the shower is spacious and, as was everything else, spotless. This is one of the few venues that we have stayed in recently that has a shower cap amongst the little niceties. The availability of a well stocked mini bar is also unusual these days. The welcome was warm, the room comfortable and spotless and the breakfast exceptional. It was the first time in many years that, without any fanfare, our car was washed.

The room was really special with many touches that we appreciated such as the mini bar, magazines, coffee pods, shower cap and fluffy extra blankets. The spotless and spacious bathroom, and the large bed made for a wonderful night. The property is quiet, with leafy trees; parking is nicely located and it is safe. Breakfast was a delight.

Everything at the lodge was very good, and attention to detail was apparent everywhere.

The room was really nice and it was clear that a lot of thought was put into the decorations. The car was washed overnight which was a nice surprise in the morning. The host were great, they even helped us out when we freaked out about a big spider in the bathroom before we wanted to go to sleep. Breakfast was also really nice

We had a wonderful stay. It was a stopover on our way from the end of the Garden Route back to Cape Town, we only wish we'd stayed two nights instead of one. The bed was really comfortable with nice linens and good pillows, and the breakfast was extensive and delicious with fruit, yogurt and eggs cooked to order.

A perfect place for a stopover when driving between Cape Town and George, Swellendam is one of the oldest towns in South Africa. It has many Cape Dutch buildings, lots of trees and a beautiful view of the Clock Peaks, part of the Langeberg Range. Swellendam Country Lodge is located at the entrance to the town, on the main street, very close to all heritage sites and restaurants. Owned by a lovely young couple + smiling baby + friendly dog, it has a lush green garden, a swimming pool and comfortable, clean rooms. Breakfast on the main house veranda was delicious.

We love to stay at Swellendam country lodge, Jan and Viviene are superhost. And the breakfast is delicious, The room is beautifully decorated and everything u need is there, and no loadshedding because of inverter and solar. U feel like you are home away from home. Great communication. Gated complex with a few single storey units . Basically bedroom and bathroom. Good walk in shower. Could benefit from larger shower head . Good water pressure . Breakfast was unbelievable. The couple that run the premises are really friendly and incredibly helpful . Booked us a restaurant and taxi. Swimming pool. Would highly recommend.

The property has a secluded pool in beautifully landscaped gardens. The hosts and staff were really lovely and made us feel very welcome. They were happy to book restaurants for us as well as explaining all that there was to do in the area.

The grounds of this B&B were beautifully kept. It felt like arriving in a little oasis of peace. The family is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The pool area was nice as it was a big pool considering the size of the property and there were enough lounge chairs.

In all my travels, locally & internationally, this was the pleasant surprise that makes business travel more bearable. The perfectly maintained facilities, efficient and friendly host & staff and the most incredible breakfast - and all that for USD65! "Ill be back.."
