Location was perfect as a base for our activities during the day. View is amazing.

We stayed in a studio room. Our only issue was the noise factor. It is difficult if a couple has one person who gets up before the other person. You simply can't be quiet in the room. There were little things that could be improved to help - for example, rubbish bin was metal with a metal lid, bathroom door was squeaky, shower recess was plastic making it really loud when taking a shower, the shower door was clunky, crockery was loud on the kitchen benchtops, cupboard doors didn't close smoothly. I think these are little things that can be big things in the early mornings when you're trying to be quiet. We could also hear the neighbours through the walls. The TV was too small and too far away. Can't watch it easily from the bed.

Quiet location central to where we needed to be. We loved sitting on the stoep enjoying the wonderful view, the garden and birdlife, and saying hello to the owners' two beautiful dogs. The service was excellent - Elna kept us informed and always answered questions promptly. The deal included a basic breakfast and this was provided in the unit for us to enjoy at our leisure. The WiFi and TV with Netflix worked well, and the place was spotless. The packing space is appreciated as well as the iron + board, hairdryer, tea/coffee and rusks. This was our second stay and we hope to return again when the need arises.

A basic door or other partitioning for the bathroom would be great in the upstairs bedroom.

If you are looking for a 5 star place in and around Joburg, look no further than Orangerie Guest House. A gem in NorthCliff with easy Uber availability, convenient access to downtown, safe neighborhood, and wonderful views of the surrounding area. Elna was superb and a wonderful host. The one bedroom apartment provided everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Absolutely recommend the continental breakfast. 100% satisfied customer. All ratings categories range in the 9.8 to 10 markings. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

The Guest House was easy to find. The host was lovely and welcomed us warmly. The room had a phenomenal view. The aircon worked very well. There was netflix available. The bed was comfy. And the bathroom and bedroom was extremely clean. All around, our stay was very comfortable and we will definitely be returning. If you're thinking about where to stay, look no further.

I absolutely loved this place! Surrounded by nature, it's the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The beds were incredibly comfortable - I slept soundly. Elna instantly made us feel at home. Spotlessly clean room, spacious and very well equipped. The view was beautiful, the location excellent and we could relax completely. We had an awsome time and will definitely book again when we are in Johannesburg.

Located on one of the hills of Johannesburg, this is an ideal place to enjoy the city whether for business or leisure. The accommodation has everything essential, very cozy, clean and comfortable, and its owners are there always ready to give you a hand. What a beautiful view! What a wonderful place! A 100% highly recommended place.

The location and aspect of the accommodation, and the architecture are superb. The views towards Rosebank and Sandton city through full height and wall to wall windows are breathtaking. Bed comfort outstanding and lovely taps and hot water. The balcony was very useful even in mid-winter, with sun streaming in through the glass-enclosed side.

Not much. Some more towel hanging space in the bathroom would be good. And perhaps more teaspoons.

The 2-bedroom unit with view was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and able to answer all our questions. The view was fantastic and worth the few steps. It was a very comfortable stay and the desk space and WiFi was appreciated too. There was load shedding but it didn't interfere much as they are well prepared for this. Gate entry was flawless. Communication was easy and the hostess kept us informed and checked in that we were o.k.

A door for the 2nd bathroom would be a nice add on.

The guest house is simply amazing, very comfortable and spacious room with all facilities you need, lovely bathroom as well and the balcony with that amazing vieuw is the best, Very good and pleasent hospitality from the host Elna, she was very welcoming and happy to help with all our requests. I would defenetly go back to this place when I stay in Joburg.
