I recently stayed at Life on 3rd Guesthouse for six nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, and the showers had strong water pressure. The breakfast was good. The staff were exceptionally attentive to my needs, even providing warm electric blankets and offering to heat the bath water when the municipal supply was unavailable. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, from the towels to the general cleanliness. One notable aspect of Life on 3rd Guesthouse is its customer profile. Many guests are university graduates, which really complements the environment, creating a refined and intellectual atmosphere.Special thanks to Beaula and her team you girls are shining stars.

The breakfast was good, though it could use a bit more variety, especially if you're staying for more than one night. In terms of improvements, the pillows and inner duvets could use an update, and a lower table for the kettle would be convenient in the rooms. Additionally, having rusks supplied as a snack would be a nice touch. The bedroom door locks could also be more secure from the outside.

The full breakfast is a full breakfast and so delicious. It is served warm and at flexible times. I went there on a weekend and it was served at 08h00 to 10h00.

There are no fridges in the rooms or microwave. That's okay but I failed to the facilities in detail and failed to see that. They do offer a fridge where you can store your drinks outside of your room.

The room had all the amenities we required, was clean and the extra length bed wes fantastic, considering I'm 6foot tall. The wifi worked great, there was enough cooling with the AC unit/Fan system as it was quite hot. The breakfast service in the morning was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. All in all, a great experience and place to stay!

The only thing I would have liked is a small fridge inside the unit, but other than that, there isnt really anything that could be improved.

Alot! The bohemian architecture of the guesthouse & the neighborhood in general is very aesthetically pleasing & appealing. The guesthouse location in Melville felt safe, with proper security precautions in place when I visited. The common area is also very cozy & well-heated during the winter when I stayed. Most importantly, the owner/staff were all very hospitable, attentive & approachable to everyone. You'll never feel out of place no matter where you're from! Love the outdoor garden and seating as well.

For the single room, the toilet is right next to the bed, & it's not sealed off, which meant any odors/scents from the toilet can seep into the room. The rooms are also in close proximity to the kitchen so cooking smells can seep into the room. That said, the ventilation is decent enough so it shouldn't be too significant an issue. Beds are a little creaky from ideal, but once again not a significant issue.

The staff were friendly and very professional. The breakfast was well presented and amazing.I enjoyed with our stay with the kids.The room was big and lovely. I wished we stayed longer . It was worth every cent .

We had a water situation in the bathroom. The pressure from the tap and shower head was very low and the hot water was merely dripping from the tap. It didn't make bath time pleasant for me and the children.(The staff was quite apologetic and promised to get it fixed. :)

Beulah is amazing! Kind , caring and helpful. Great service from her and her team of women. Rooms and bathrooms squeaky clean with fresh, crisp towels and linen. Great English breakfast ,yogurt and fresh fruit. Generator on property. Quiet street , with a guard based near the driveway. Secure parking , though the property can only accommodate 2 cars.

No electricity in 1 of our rooms early hours of first morning. Beaulah attended to it when she arrived on duty- DB tripped Guests checking in late around midnight were rowdy . General seating area right outside rooms are quite invasive . All in all a great stay :-)

Breakfast was very lovely. The room that I was in had plenty of hot water. It was really pretty and cozy. Dstv was fully functional. There is lots of sitting area outside. It is a very secure place, with great security.

There was no extra blanket and I kept forgetting to ask where to find the electric blanket function. There is no chair, but a stool. There were moments when I needed to work on my laptop, so the stool was a bit uncomfortable to sit on for long hours.

I'm already dreaming of returning for a retreat—it's that perfect! They are poised to redefine hospitality standards.
