We spent 3 wonderful days and nights here. As someone who has spent 35 years travelling the world on business and staying some pretty up market hotels, I can assure anyone who is considering staying here, that they will not be disappointed. The location is stunning. The facilities are fantastic but it is the quality of the staff that sets this place apart from most others. They are superbly trained and provide consistent attentive service without being intrusive. Meals on the decking overlooking the ocean, is a delight. The whole environment is peaceful and if you want some adventures, then quad biking and similar tours are readily available. I venture to suggest that it would be almost impossible to find anything similar that offers such a high quality package at such an amazing price. Misty Mountain is fabulous and extraordinary value for money. Thank you Misty Mountain for the memories.

The property is in a beautiful location, isolated but not too hard to get to from the main road. Beautiful sea views in a tranquil area. I loved my stay here. There are trails to walk on the forest near the property and curious monkeys would show up in the morning to look at our chalet. Food in the restaurant was really good and I’ve also used the spa, which was amazing after a long flight. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Wish I had time to stay longer and hope to come back one day. Book without thinking twice.

The staff are amazing. Super friendly and helpful. The 2 bedroom, sea facing, self catering chalet has a modern farm style feel and has all the amenities one requires . We visited in winter and although the chalet can be cold there are heaters, electric blankets (which was switched on before we checked in) hot water bottles and extra blankets. Spectacular sea view, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your bed. Would love to visit in summer to take advantage of the swimming pool and outside dining area.

To get to Misty mountains there is a small distance on a gravel road which could be tricky with a small car but doable.

We were received with a warm welcome and complimentary welcome drink and shown around before escorted to our room which was nice. The tented room was spacious and extremely well decorated and the bed was very comfortable with heating under blankets which were amazing and really needed. Breakfast was fresh and portions were generous. I particularly liked the freshly baked muffins and bread rolls. Overall, a great location and overall experience.

The accommodation is next to a working dairy farm and while charming, the noise and smell of manure was a little off putting. Sadly, the sausages at breakfast were dry and the friendly waitering staff could be a bit more focused as they forgot to bring a few items to the table which were asked for.

Beautiful well maintained property, lush green with views of sea right from your bed. It was cold and the staff was kind to give us heated water bags and extra heater for the room. There was a charming and cozy little fireplace next to the restaurant where we spent some time after dinner playing board games over wine. Breakfast wasn't a buffet so options were limited but whatever we had was very tasty (esp. tree hugger and their granola), ingredients in all foods were top notch and fresh. Unlike buffets, the breakfast and served fresh and hot. Only hotel during our trip where I found almond milk :)

The approach road, about 5 kms long is pitch dark at night. We were delayed due to change of plans and it was dark by the time we checked in. Those 5 kms, we sat with bated breath, had no idea whasoever of what was on either side of us - forest/sea/hills/wild animals/slums... there was absolutely zero light other than the car's headlights. Very scary experience, they could use some lighting along the way although there are enough signs for direction. On the plus side, it was so dark that the stars looked so big and close like we haven't seen since childhood. My son was in awe.

What a beautiful stay, definitely worth every rand. The view from the cabins is spectacular. The cabins are clean, well maintained, and beautifully furnished. The staff was incredible. Super friendly and helpful. Also, the restaurant serves freshly made, delicious, and affordable meals. A special thanks to Simba, Thembeka, Milisa for making my stay memorable. 10/10 experience!

What an amazing find. We should have stayed longer! Who knew there was so much to do in Tsitsikamma? We sure didn't. and we will be back. We stayed in a very comfortable and luxurious tent. It can complete with a rain shower above a free standing ball and claw slipper bath. Amazing! The restuarant's food was amazing so good. and we made full use of the onsite spa with body massages, scrubs and manicures. It was such a treat.

What a gem! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the staff were so kind and helpful. The restaurant served delicious food, and our room was stunning—spotless, comfortable, and beautifully set up. There was so much to do, and we could have easily stayed longer. A special mention to the porters, who were such a great help. Truly a wonderful stay!

This is a place suitable foe anyone who loves the outdoors. We hoped to Zip line,walk and quadbike while there but unfortunately I arrived with a bad stomach bug so we watched the monkeys trying to raid the bar and sugar from the coffee area, the peacocks courting.and a few whales out to sea while sitting quietly inside and out. The staff were fantastic. Did I mention the 3 crocodiles outside reception?. It was just what I needed though not what I had expected to need.

We arrived during a storm and the weather was cold. It could have done better. We were in one of the "tents" and found the shower interesting. It was lovely once you got it right but there was yery little solid to hold to and the tent walls were being battered by the wind. In the morning the sun shone on the tent wall giving a heated wall in the bathroom - lovely. The GPS coordinates on the site are incorrect by a couple of miles

Lovely stay! Was very nice that wood was provided, as sitting at a fire at night was part of what made my experience so memorable. The warm water bags provided on the bed were also very thoughtful, as it can get cold in the tents. The unit was neat and clean, and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Shower curtains! Taking a shower in the bath was quite messy, and there's no hooks or railings to hang up wet towels. Also nowhere to put the soap bar at the sink at the toilet.
