Lily Pond was our final stop on the Garden Route before heading to a safari and it was stunning. From the moment we arrived it was obviously somewhere we were going to really enjoy spending time and just being able to relax. Our room was great, as were all of the staff who were so friendly and welcoming - but the highlight for us has to be the food. Lily Pond is easily the best food we have ever eaten at a hotel. We were sadly only there for two nights, but every single dish served to us was a delight. We were truly sad to read the menu on the day we left knowing we wouldn't be there for dinner again! The fantastic chef was also a great host who would come and say hello to everybody during the meals and the front of house staff were all great too - definitely one of the highlights of our trip, thank you all!

Lily Pond has a beautiful setting, very friendly and helpful staff and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast as well. It was perfectly located to attend a wedding close by. The location is also very close to wine farms and beautiful Plettenberg bay and Nature’s Valley.

The open toilet is sometimes difficult and would have loved more space to place items without it having to stand on the floor, but other than that the rooms were lovely.

Our stay at Lily Pond Country Lodge was an exceptional experience and undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to South Africa. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the peaceful setting and the tasteful and elegant decor of the lodge. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the perfect combination of the tranquility of the surrounding nature and the high-end comfort offered by the lodge. Waking up to the sound of birds and falling asleep under a starry sky while enjoying discreet luxury was a real delight. We would like to extend our special thanks to Caroll and Bronwan for their availability and attentive listening. Thanks to their valuable advice, we were able to explore the region in a unique and authentic way. Their in-depth knowledge of the area and their sense of hospitality greatly contributed to the quality of our stay. Breakfasts were a treat every morning, with a variety of fresh and delicious choices. As for the dinners, they were simply sublime, a big thank you to Randall for his culinary talents. Each meal was an experience in itself, combining local flavors and creative touches. We also enjoyed the moments spent with the servers, whose humor and friendliness added a light and joyful note to our evenings. In summary, Lily Pond Country Lodge is a true gem, offering both a relaxing and luxurious experience. Whether it was comfort, ambiance, or gastronomy, everything was perfect. We highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in South Africa.

Absolutely beautiful Lodge, staff who couldn’t do enough for us, large and comfortable room, stunning pool area and grounds. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, and we were in heaven. Randall is an exceptionally talented chef and the food was incredible. Thank you!!

The location is well located for Nature's Valley and the beautiful beach just down the road from the Lily Pond (short drive) and all the activities that are available in the area of the Crags. The provided breakfast is excellent, while the evening cuisine is extremely good. The staff are all lovely and extremely helpful. We will return.

Probably one of the best lodges we’ve ever stayed at !! So calm relaxing , wonderful picturesque setting . V comfy bed. Food was 5* exceptional & staff v helpful without being imposing

Loved the setting and the friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Bronwan, the Manager was so helpful. Randall the Chef and Elsabe his Assistant Chef provided us with a wonderful meal and service. Fires were lit and rooms warmed in advance of our arrival as it was a cool evening. The grounds, pool and pond were beautiful. Room was spacious, beautifully fitted out and opened onto a deck area overlooking the pond. Honesty bar in each room. We will definitely return for longer when the sun shines.

The open plan toilet with a small bedroom was inconvenient. Breakfast and dinner times were at least half an hour later than we would choose

Location very remote and peaceful. Swimming pool ok, but felt it could be cleaner. Location was too remote from Plettenberg Bay though for our purposes, which involved a 27km drive

We had a wonderful stay in Lily Pond Country Lodge. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bronwan was the most dedicated manager we‘ve ever came across. She did a great job in giving us advices on daily trips. We had the opportunity to eat twice at the restaurant and the chef has created great menus for us! The waiters were excellent.
