Excellent location, wonderful, friendly staff. We were right on the beach.

Our room was very small by American standards.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bungalow by Raw Africa! The location is absolutely stunning, just steps away from the beach with beautiful views. The room was stylish, clean, and very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. The breakfast was delicious, and the vibe of the whole place was modern yet relaxed. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend The Bungalow to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a great experience!

This place is a little piece of heaven! Such a chilled out vibe and beautifully designed. Great staff / wine / food / rooms / location. Fresh flowers in the bedroom and bathroom. Great shower. Turndown service in the evening with little cakes provided. Complementary water / wine / beer in the room. We really wished we could have stayed longer!

Nothing. Worth noting there was no AC in our room but the fan worked really well - and you can safely leave the windows open to get the sea breeze and listen to the waves 😊. It would be good to have nibbles / bar snacks available.

Room/bathroom was very clean, sparkly wine on arrival and complimentary drinks. Room was consistently attended to when we were out. Very close to the restaurant/bar area and food was high quality. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Lovely seating area directly outside the room. Easy quick walk down to the beach and carpark also very close by. Being close to the sea, the travel up into the Main Street area of Plettenburg is very steep uphill if walking so need to plan transport requirements.

Booked seaview and whilst the patio was facing the sea, a wall of trees blocked that view so technically could argue not a seaview!!

We made a booking an hour before we checked-in to The Bungalow and we were met with delicious welcome drinks, a friendly staff member took our bags to the room and we pre-ordered breakfast packages for our early check-out the next morning. The location is perfect, the rooms are beautiful and the amenities luxurious but the friendly staff is the best asset for the property.

Only that our stay was so short. We would have loved to stay a little longer, but we will return soon.

Great location with secure off street parking. The beach vibe is there in force with the restaurant focusing on the beach view and several funky outdoor seating areas for guests. The restaurant was a highlight with great meals at excellent prices: we ate there both evenings that we stayed. The inclusions in the room: drinks and nibbles, and the breakfasts were great.

It seems they have re-modelled since we booked and the room did not have any similarity to what we had seen online. It was a tight fit for four, with small bedrooms (hard to find space for bags) and bathroom. It was part of the quirky nature of the hotel but not the easiest for four people to work around each other.

It's the little things- flowers placed next to the towels, fragrant toiletries, comfortable bed, location location!, outdoor chill zone - Fabulous is the word!

We felt pressured to return to The Bungalow as we did not want to keep the wonderful staff out of well needed sleep. An access pin to enter the property after hours would be great!

We loved our stay here. The staff were all really friendly. They had an open fire place outside that would be lite up every night. There was a locked in car park which was good. The accommodation is right on the beach as well which was lovely. The food at the restaurant was delicious & as well as the breakfast we had included. There are also laundry services available if you're travelling around. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

The location was fantastic, a few steps from Plettenberg beach and lots of open places in the hotel to admire while eating/drinking too. Had a sea side room and could hear the lapping waves which was very relaxing. Food was delicious and reasonable with good variety. Staff were friendly and helpful. Secure parking available.

The room was a little cosy but perfectly appointed and clean and had useful items such as beach towels.

Amazing small boutique hotel in Plettenberg Bay. Honestly, if I could give a rating of 20/10 I would! I have been fortunate to stay in a few boutique hotels over the years and this one rates right up there among the best…. The rooms are beautifully furnished in a clean modern style, with eclectic design touches. Fresh flowers, decent coffee maker etc in rooms. We were very privileged to receive a room upgrade which we appreciated very much (but even if we hadn’t, it would not change my rating or review!). Food is great, everything freshly prepared from scratch. Meals taken on the semi open deck, while watching whales in the bay opposite. Secure parking, cozy seating areas in the communal areas, outdoor fire pit, small plunge pool. Last but not least, the staff are outstanding - super attentive and helpful but never obtrusive, nothing is too much trouble and the team are what makes this hotel really special.
