My stay at this hotel was exceptional! ✨ The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The facilities are great and provide everything a guest might need. The location is excellent and close to important places. The staff are professional, friendly, and always welcoming. Honestly, it was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I highly recommend it.

We spent some of our honeymoon at this hotel over 15 years ago, it was wonderful then and it still is today. The hotel is well maintained, clean, friendly and beautifully decorated, it retains its old world charm without being outdated or pretentious. There was a lovely handwritten note and bottle of wine, in our room to welcome us back. Friendly staff throughout the hotel, doing everything they can to make your stay special but without being intrusive. Great water pressure in the modern and spacious bathroom. We booked a standard double, I travel a lot for business, and it was on par with many executive rooms I have stayed in, so that was a very pleasant surprise. Good breakfast, with barista coffee. It’s pretty centrally located with a short (but steep) walk into town, and lots to do in and around Plettenberg Bay. The views from the hotel are spectacular and for the cooler evenings there is a fire in the lounge. We spent lots of time at the heated infinity pool with views over the cliff towards Lookout, Keurboom, Beacon and Robberg beaches. It was the break we have had in a long time and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to planning a return visit soon.

Nothing really, we had dinner in the restaurant 1 evening and it was fine but it’s the same place you have breakfast which lacks atmosphere in the evening. Plettenberg Bay has some wonderful restaurants from the old local fav of the Lookout (just short walk from the hotel) and Fat Fish to the newer Barrington.s and Bramon Wine farm and so many others which we recommend for a more value for money and better dining experience.

The breakfasts were amazing. What a fabulous spread - wish we could have stayed longer ... and the cooked breakfasts were so well-presented. Loved the bloody Mary station and the Mimosas. We had dinner at Amelia's - superb! Had the cheese souffle - out of this world! The bobotie was really good, too and the portions were really generous. Good value for money! And our room was kept spotless. Such a treat to be spoilt with the complimentary Jakkalsvlei Pinotage and Pierre Jordaan Brut. The location and views are top notch, and we really enjoyed the heated pool... even though the weather was cooler. Even used the gym facilities - more than adequate. Loved the lounging areas, well -appointed and the decor was absolutely unique. Even managed to do some crocheting! A beautiful collaboration of art pieces and decor. To be honest, we have never stayed in accommodation like this, where such attention to luxury and delicious food is the norm. We were totally spoilt. Best and most memorable wedding anniversary getaway for us!

The only little thing would possibly be an extractor fan in the bathroom? Just for the very cold nights. Oh, and the fact that we had to leave!!!!!

This hotel is spectacular. Incredible 5* star property, with high end interiors and location. The staff were also exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location and view are incredible. It’s very simple to walk to the shops (during the day) or the beach. The hotel is so well equipped with multiple pools, a small gym, bar, restaurant and terrace. It’s incredibly stylish interior. Our room was so good, with a very large bathroom, walk in wardrobe and sofa in the bedroom. The staff were so helpful, at meal time and with advice for activities to do. We are in the restaurant for dinner twice, and all the dishes were good, particularly the steak. Breakfast was also good, with a large buffet and an a la carte menu of cooked options. We also used the spa for a 90 min couples massage that was very very good.

We were chucked out of our room at 10:00 am - the only hotel of 8 in South Africa, or anywhere, to give this check out time. We requested an extension to 11:00 the night before, when we discovered the early check out requirement. We requested this again the next morning, as suggested by reception (we were not travelling far and intended to stay to lunch). This polite request was refused. However on expressing annoyance to the manager as we packed the car, he suddenly offered a 12:00 midday checkout. This was inconveniently late and left a rather bitter taste.

It's a very good hotel and we enjoyed our stay. It is beautifully positioned overlooking the bay and beaches, with a short walk to the beach. The rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable - our first stay of one night was in a small room, but our next stay was in a larger and more comfortable room. The staff were very helpful and pleasant - we want to especially commend the security / parking attendants / porters for their helpfulness. Breakfast was excellent and the dining areas and sitting areas are beautifully decorated and located, with great views. There are a a good selection of options for lunch and dinner - and there are other good restaurant options in the town. It's a lovely quiet boutique hotel in a safe area, with a backdrop of the sound of the waves.

There was little to complain about. While the line fish we had was very fresh and delicious, we experienced that some of the items on the the shellfish platter did not appear to be as fresh as we expected. There were very few sunbeds in the sun by the small heated pool, and they were occupied from early morning. It is undoubtedly a fine boutique hotel, but it appeared to be a bit expensive.

Beautiful hotel with 2 pools (1 heated to perfection) and restaurant overlooking the ocean. Room was very elegant and spacious but unlike many other hotels these days it was also very practical - hanging space aplenty and lots of drawers - storage space was not sacrificied for the sake of style. The bed, pillows, linen, towels and bathrobes were all of very high quality as were the Africology toiletries. There was a generous policy for the minibar with the initial stock of beer, soft drinks and snacks being complementary. Nice selection of hot a la carte breakfast choices and really great fruit, yoghurt, cheese, cold cuts, etc. Hghly recommended and would love to return.

Restaurant service at both breakfast and dinner was a bit hit and miss. Sometimes excellent, at other times disorganised. All staff were lovely/friendly but it was almost as if there could be too many staff at times, and they didnt know who was serving who, who had placed orders, etc. Just silly things like bread being forgotten, starters arriving at same time as amuse bouche, drinks going to wrong tables. All 21st century problems!! But considering how good the food was, and the fact that everything else about the place was 5 star, it was the only minor let down. Some background music in the restaurant might also help to give a bit of atmosphere.

This hotel, hands-down, has the best staff I have ever come across. They are all incredibly friendly and helpful and we received excellent service. The hotel itself is gorgeously decorated with beautiful art. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. The location is perfect. There is a lovely heated pool overlooking the beach for a lazy afternoon in the sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There is no adults-only swimming pool, or area for that matter. Our quiet afternoon by the poolside was abruptly ruined by energetic children who took over the entirety thereof. After being splashed wet, we sadly had to retire to our room for some peace.

Superbly located 5-star property with beautiful pools and very friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable and large, and the hotel has plenty of beautiful airy and light sitting areas. The interior of the hotel is attractive with nautical decor throughout. The toiletries in the bathroom were of top quality, sourced from a local producer. The whole atmosphere is simply awesome with views of the ocean everywhere. The restaurant has a variety of dinner options and choices of wine which we enjoyed. The bar is also very welcoming and a great place to enjoy a drink.

The breakfast was a bit chaotic with slow service. The staff in front of the hotel was quite noisy early morning right below our room.

Beautiful property overlooking Plett Central Beach and 5-15 minutes drive from the good restaurants (don't miss Ernesto's Italian) and Robbins Reserve (spectacular coastal site). Very high standard of service, friendly and helpful people to support visitors managing their own activities and experiences along the Garden Route. Great breakfasts cooked to order to supplement their well-stocked buffet of fresh, appealing continental offerings. The rooms are especially graciously designed ("the packed mini fridge drinks - and a bottle of good wine - are all complementary; only refills are charged"), larger than you might expect, and equipped with everything we'd hope for (e.g., USB3 and-C ports, a bigger selection of soaps, lotions, and sprays than most places). This is a true all-the-way to Five Star hotel by any international standard.

The dinner at the Amelia restaurant on site aspires to gourmet ranking and comes close on some dishes, but the service was a bit stiff and, oddly, distractingly obsequious in a country whose people generally interact with the most authentically sincere smiles and friendly connectedness.
