I loved this lodge. From the moment I arrived, I was met with the big smile & helpful hands of Thembe, taking my bag to my huge room. Spotlessly clean & very comfortable, excellent shower (and bath). My towels were changed, bed made & room cleaned every day. My balcony had a great view of the Plett lagoon. Great little pool set in beautiful gardens looked after by Amos. Breakfast was on the terrace overlooking the lagoon, just stunning. Great selection of cold buffet & a choice of hot as well. Erin & Whitney were excellent hosts looking after everyone. I was very sad to leave! Thank you to all at La Vista for a great stay

I really enjoyed my stay at Lavista Lodge, what a hidden gem in the beautiful town of Plettenberg Bay! I don’t know why I’m only discovering this place now. The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel right at home. It didn’t feel forced, so well done to the management for finding the right people to run the place. That alone is a 10 out of 10. You can have a nice place, but if the staff and management have a bad attitude, it doesn’t matter how beautiful it is. The room felt spacious and luxurious, with useful spaces for hanging clothes and storing bags. The views are amazing. The lodge is at the top of a hill, so you get clear ocean and mountain views, and it’s a great spot to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was really good, with lots of options, both hot and cold. Stunning! 👌🏾🫶🏾

I was surprised there wasn’t a full-length mirror in such a big, fancy room, though. A full length mirror is not a nice to have, it's an absolute necessity!

The view was excellent, the location was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even arranged to assist me with breakfast earlier than their normal hours, as I had to leave early.

The cost of a drink from the bar was outrageous. R80 for a 440ml Windhoek Draught is ridiculous. You don't even pay close to that at Forrester's Arms or the Waterfront in Cape Town. Do the maths on the markup, it is beyond ridiculous. You should revisit this, as it soured a very pleasant stay when I was faced with this amount when I checked out in the morning. As someone who travels for work, and who had driven a significant distance that day, a beer at the end of the day is welcomed. However, based on this price, I would reconsider staying here again. Which is a real shame, as the rest of the stay was excellent.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I arrived quite early in Plett. I went over and asked if I can drop off my bags. and I could with ease. The Morning Staff and Afternoon Staff were exceptional. The room was very spacious and really exceeded my expectations. The views from the breakfast area and my room was amazing - was able to take some beautiful pictures and even a time-lapse video of the sunrise.

To be honest - there hasnt been anything that I didnt like..everything was very lekka

From the phone call about my late arrival, the guy was exceptional and he handed me over to another guy and kept the standard high. On arrival at the premises, I was amazed by the level of professionalism, orientation and cleanliness. The room was the cherry 🍒 😍 on top. The 3 ladies kept the hospitality standard high which was displayed by the 2 gentlemen. Thank you.

The view, the location, the service, the breakfast, everything was exceptional. It was our first time here and we ABSOLUTELY will come back once again in Plett 😊

Just one little little thing, we stayed at the honey moon suite (which was absolutely fabulous). The huge terrace is the big highlight of the room, however it felt weird that it was ‘shared’ with the adjacent room. The two areas can communicate with each other, and they are separated only by a see-through separè.

What a wonderful property. The views are fantastic and the facilities were superb. We were fortunate to book room 1, which has a seperate living room and a huge decking area overlooking Plett bay. The staff were efficient and would do everything to assist. The breakfast and service exceptional. Nigel & Lynn Wraysbury.

We enjoyed going out for our meals and dined in some lovely restaurants. La Vista Lodge could benefit by having a evening meal service.

Extremely beautiful hotel with an outstanding view over Plettenberg and very friendly staff! This hotel outperformed our expectations. The view on the ocean from our suite would blow our mind! I would recommend to get up early and watch the sunrise. The room was clean, beautifully arranged, well-equipped (they really thought of everything) and very spacious. Especially the bed, was very wide and very comfortable. The staff was extremely kind & helpful and the breakfast arrangement plus the view was fantastic. We would definitely recommend the suite, it is absolutely worth every cent. We were even invited to have a welcome drink on the beautiful porch. Definitely one of the best hotels during our four-week stay in South Africa! Wish we would have stayed longer.

The location is excellent view over Plettenberg Bay. Very big room with modern design. Nice garden. Very good breakfast. Check-in process was thorough. Wifi was good.

Only two issues in this location, which makes me give a rating of 9 and not a 10. The parking is quite small for the number of guests, this forces people to manoeuvre quite a bit. And fortunately the lodge was not full. The second issue is that due to powercuts (called euphemistically load shedding in SouthAfrica) we had no light from 10 to 12 pm in the room. We know that other hotels have solved the problem with inverters, this is not acceptable for an expensive location as this.
