You have a wonderful view over the bay and a great outdoor terrace with a barbecue, fridge and much more. We had what we thought was the most beautiful room: the ‘Shell Room’. We also had a direct view of the bay, but the room with its sliding door is located directly on the terrace, which is also the entrance to the room. The room is a bit small, but we felt very comfortable. The breakfast was good. There is free parking directly in front of the hotel for guests only. It is located on a hill and there is a short walk down to the beach and, more noticeably, back up again. So we drove to The Fat Fish twice in the evening to enjoy some really delicious food. Boulders Beach is also within easy reach by car.

This was one of our favourite lodgings during our 3 week SA tour. We had a smaller room, but it was great (other rooms were much more spacious). Staff was absolutely lovely and very helpful (both the live-in host and the housekeeping team). The beautiful common areas with different sitting rooms and patios were very comfortable and conducive to good guest interaction. The complimentary sherry was very much appreciated. The views of the bay from the two patio decks (with sofa and lounge chairs to chill in) were amazing. Close walking distance to the Plettenberg local village shops and easy drive to beaches and other attraction and to Robberg make this a perfect lodging in the Plett area.

The pool looked much bigger on-line than in reality. It was great for kids to play in, or adults just to soak. But not really a "swimming" pool.

What a view from the terrace - stunning. Our room was small but comfortable with a small ensuite bathroom with a good shower. We enjoyed coffee and tea making facilities, and we used the beach towels and beach chairs that were provided. The location is excellent- just a few minutes drive to the beach, cafes and restaurants.

Parking is limited. At one time 5 cars were squeezed into the small patio, making it difficult to get out. Noone seemed to want to park on the road and as tourists we were unsure whether it was safe to leave our rental car outside.

Amazing views over the bay, and location is good to get to restaurants. You could walk but we didn't during evenings. It feels like you are moving to someone's home not a hotel environment. There was a lot of freedom of when you go and coming back. You're within reach of Robbery Beach (which is amazing) for a short drive.

The room was quite small, though we didn't find that an issue. Everything you need was provided.

Great location very close to main restaurants and could easily walk to these at night. Great reccomendations for restaurants/activities in the area. Lovely breakfast and beautiful view over bay. Great WiFi and lovely to have comfy communal area with fire, sofas and kitchen access. Would definitely stay again.

Room was a little cold but did have nice warm dressing gowns available and no other complaints!

The guesthouse itself was stunning with beautiful views over Plettenberg Bay. All the shared areas, including the pool, were clean and extremely well equipped with coffee facilities, fresh water, BBQ facilities and anything you would need for this, games and books, beach towels and chairs and even port on every floor to enjoy as an evening tipple. The room itself was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. This was equipped with all the amenities you need for your stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a good choice of hot and cold options. We would recommend to anyone visiting Plett!

Nothing not to like, just a note that upon check in, no one was there to greet us until we phoned and all the doors including reception were locked. This was made slightly more complicated by painting being completed on the outdoor walls and also meant we had ladders and decorators outside our window from early till late both days.

A stunning house in a great location! The most amazing views! Room was very comfortable and clean. The communal areas were lovely and comfortable with a supply of coffee pods and milk! You were welcome to use the main kitchen too if you felt the need! Breakfast was gorgeous & the service was always friendly and efficient. You could take beach towels, seats & umbrellas!! A very generous host! Highly recommend.

Lack of aircon.

Ocean Watch is simply beautiful from the internal calm interiors to the wow factor views from the large terrace. Our room was very comfortable, and the extra thoughtful touches (beach towels and umbrellas) throughout were super. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely taken in a bright beautiful room overlooking the garden and pool. I would recommend that you stay here!

The location and staff are outstanding Lianne her sister couldn’t have been more helpful. We started our stay in a non sea facing rose room Was very inexpensive but no view and very small we upgraded to a sea view room view which was stunning well worth the extra. Breakfast was great. Place was spotless. We wished we’d been there longer.

Internal room wasn’t for us.

The property was beautifully furnished, very spacious and had lovely views over the bay. Vanessa was very helpful and attentive. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well equipped. The terrace was a great place to relax especially in the evening with the outside fire lit. Good off road parking, some secure behind the entrance gates. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. All staff were very friendly.
