I've stayed here twice now and if it's available anytime I travel to Seoul this is where I will always stay. Comfortable, affordable, close to the station and markets, only a 20 minute walk to Hongdae which I love. Room is comfy and cozy and it's a surprisingly quiet area considering how close it is to main street. All in all, I love this place

It's just the way the building is, but if you happen to stay on the 2nd floor, make sure your bags aren't too heavy cause those stairs are uneven and quite scary, especially if you got little legs like me. It was a workout going up and down em haha but that's Seoul, a leg workout haha

The neighbourhood is very tranquil with lots of cheap and good restaurants nearby, and it is only 5 mins walk from metro line 6. My 4 bunk beds room is cute with lockers, a desk, a chair, hangers and a hairdryer. The bed and duvet are super comfy. There are two bathrooms and they are generally clean. The atmosphere of this house makes you feel like home, unlike some hostels which can be too bureaucratic and rigid in rules. On top, the owner is always kind and helpful. If I go back to Seoul, I definitely stay here again.

The machine machine and dryer were very quiet. There were a lot of outlets to plug everything we wanted. Check-in was very easy. The location was great, very close to a market and a subway station.

The walls were very thin between our room and the hallway, we could hear everything the guests coming in the hostel or hanging out in the kitchen were saying. There was no AC in the kitchen so it was very hot, but it made it so not a lot of people would hang out there, which is good because the walls are thin!

Shawn was an amazing host and the guesthouse itself was great! I had a slight travel emergency and Shawn went above & beyond helping me coordinate a package delivery during and before my arrival. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming and gave me great recommendations for the area. The guesthouse itself was very conveniently located, clean, and felt like a home away from home! Loved my stay here!

the host Shawn is the nicest person you can meet: my girlfriend got sick on the first day and he helped us out a lot with calling an ambulance and translating. rooms were cozy enough to spend a few sick days in :) good internet and clean rooms and bathrooms locations is near Hongdae (20min on foot) which is good but it takes 30-45 min to most of the other attractions in Seoul, which is still good :)

AC had some issues

Great time, it was my second time and would definitely visit again. The guesthouse is just 5 minutes far on foot by subway, very convenient to visit all the touristic places & Seoul and not far from any places. The neighborhood is quite and has many shops. Shawn (staff) is very polite, kind and helpful. Very worth it for its price. Thank you Shawn 😊

A lot of clearly written instructions; Calm neighborhood; Available cheap laundry; Spacious kitchen with water, tea, coffee and seasonings; Travel adapters in the room; Air Conditioning;

The stairs are a challenge; More hangers in the bathroom would be beneficial;

I enjoyed everything in my stay. I met awesome people who became friends, and Shawn is a very dedicated and kind host. I also love the comfort of the bed, the privacy even in a dorm, and the location of the hostel. Overall, it's a great choice!

Everything was great as Shawn (the host, owner) is constantly doing his best to improve this great place.

A really great location. It was close to quite a few cafes and restaurants and a short train ride from Hongik University station (which is very vibey). It was also very close to a subway station so it was no effort at all to get around Seoul. Our room was cozy and comfy and had everything we needed. It was also nice that there was coffee and a water dispenser to refill bottles.

The rubbish bins were quite full so it was difficult to throw away trash in the communal areas (but it wasn't the end of the world).

The location is very convenient as it's close to the station and there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff was friendly and willing to answer questions and help so the check in and check out experience was very straightforward. The room was small but it was clean and the AC worked well. The common areas were nice as well and mostly quiet. I felt safe staying there.

Having only one key for two guests was a little bothersome in my case, since me and my friend had different plans and needed to go in/out at different times. Staff was willing to help solve the issue, but in general I feel like one more key per room would make things easier!
