I had a great and easy stay at Hwon Guesthouse. The location is excellent — close to the Metro, about a 15-minute walk to the lively Hongdae area, and surrounded by restaurants and markets, yet the neighborhood itself is quiet and residential. The guesthouse was clean and well organized, with hot and cold water available to refill bottles. There’s also a self-service area stocked with essentials like shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and more.

The room I stayed in was quite small, so I’d only recommend it for one person. Of course, this is solely based on my selected room.

It's very basic accomodation but as expected for the money and totally fine. Decent room (I was surprised that in had a TV with netflix on), easy self check-in/check-out, felt very safe, and great location - just a couple minutes walk from main area in Hongdae but was off a quiet road so outside noise was very minimal.

The walls are seriously thin and there were people making quite a bit of noise late at night and I could hear their TV throughout the night. The bathroom was fairly run down (sink wasn't properly attached to the wall), but passable for a few nights of cheap accom.

It was easy to do self check in, and the staff happened to be around when I arrived and she kindly helped me carry my luggage to my room on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and the second floor common area provided drinking water. There were also towels, toilet paper etc. and it was easy to top up on those when needed as they were kept in an open shelf on the 2nd floor.

The bathroom was rather cramped which made showering a bit difficult. The other things are more personal preferences but the bed was softer than I would like and the location being a 15-20 min walk from Hongik University Station got a bit tiring towards the end of my trip.

It was easy and efficient to check in and out. The staff were fast to respond to my messages. It has kitchen with all the essential items. The bathroom was really tiny but works greatly. Location is great- about 10-15 minutes walking distance to the Hongik University station.

The bed is not comfy. They put a plastic layer right under the sheet and it was painful to sleep on it. Two pillows is needed for a comfortable sleeping!

The location was about a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station. There are quite a few food stalls along the way to the subway so it could be something nice to see. Self-check-in was simple using a tablet. Convenience stores are nearby. I had a slight issue with my lock and a staff was around who helped me immediately.

The walls are pretty thin so you can hear noises from the corridor quite clearly. Also, there isn't an elevator, so ensure that you can carry your luggage up the stairs. Apart from these, there isn't much I can complain about for the price.

I liked the privacy for the price offered (2 weeks for ~$970), the location was great, and the staff were super friendly and hospitable. Everything is in walking distance and pretty cheap.

The water in the bathroom would sometimes settle near the toilet, so it would be handy to have a wiper. The staff were very accomodating in providing it when I asked, and very gracious in accepting it as feedback for future guests.

-I love the neighborhood. A lot of cafes and restaurants. Convenience store is also close by. -All the facilities are all I need. Clean water/microwave and I even use the steam iron. -The check-in process is convenient since it clearly instructs via chat. -You can leave your luggage on the 1st floor before check-in and after check-out. It will be no one there but CCTV operated.

-Bed is too soft and bathroom is very small. -About 10 mins from subway but there are bus stop near by.

Great location, clean and tidy, easy walking distance to Hongik Subway Station

Not a complaint, but something for the twin room bookings to be aware of, it meant a mattress on the floor which practically filled the whole floor in the room, no room for anything really, maybe a bunk bed would be a good idea for twin rooms

Really comfy bed, helpful kind staff! Self check-in is super easy. Location is very good, close to many convenience stores and metro exits. It was just a bit difficult for me to find because of confusing streets and naver maps not always functioning. I already booked it again for my next stay 🥰❤️ thank you!

Check-in is very convenient, and the manager responds quickly to questions; place was very clean and has everything you need for your stay. This location is so convenient & it's easy to access the subway station, food market, convenient store, café, etc. I hope to stay here again in the future.
