What I liked the most is its location. The place is near Hongik Univ Stn. Exit 3 and the main shopping street so it has many restaurants and shops nearby. Next is its affordability. As a solo traveller, the price is still worth it for a solo room. The room is kinda spacious considering I have two luggages with me. The staff is nice and replies immediately to my concerns. The check in process was easy even though I arrived late at night. Also, they let me store my luggage for days for free when I went to another city.

The stairs are kinda slippery, there is no elevator so it’s scary when I carry my luggages up the stairs. The common room downstairs doesn’t feel homey for me since there is a lot of clutter in the living room. The common area in the second floor is much nicer than that in the third floor (I stayed in the third floor during my stay). The towels provided are small but I think that that’s normal in Korea. Sometimes, other guests leave their hair in the shower room floor. Also, the laundry machine has no dryer

It has great facilities!! We love the clean room and bathroom. We get free water, shampoo, body wash, new towels everyday. It also has sharing hair dryer, microwave, air con in every room, sharing refrigerator. They clean the room too! Perfectly nice for travelers.

Thank you UWA Guesthouse for accommodating my Family. We're so happy and very much satisfied with the place and the service. The owner was very nice, Unni helped us to learn about the subway map and how to save time and money on transportation. Thank you so much. All in all, a great experience in Seoul. By the way, kitchen has a lot of food supply, unlimited coffee, the bathroom complete with shampoo, conditioner, tissue etc.

I think Filipinos will agree with this, but we need bidet every time we use the toilet, I hope you can put one :)

Very friendly host who answered any questions quickly via fon/booking app. Location is fantastic - close to metro, bus, and lots of cafés, bars, restaurants, etc. The guesthouse facilities are very good. pretty well-equipped kitchen (not may plates or glasses though) and a free laundry! Roof garden is also very nice. Rooms and beds were very simple, but comfy (drawers, storage under bed, clothes/coat stand, mirror, a/c)

There could be more showers/WCs. If the guesthouse is full, there can be some waiting times. The kitchen is not well-maintained by the guest/longterm guests. Since it is a community kitchen, it is understandable that the owners put the responsibility of cleaning in the hands of the guests. Some do it better than others... But, since there are sooo many choices to eat out and since it is fairly cheap, there is not much reason to use the kitchen intensively.

The whole hostel is very comfy and cozy. I liked very much the rooftop, where you enjoy your cup of coffee or tea. The room was spacious, with a big window. All areas (bathroom, rooms, living room) are cleaned regularly, and the kitchen and common areas are free to use. Since I had a late flight, I was able to leave my things at the hostel after check out. Communication with the staff was great.

Keep in mind that the hostel does not have an elevator, so you will have to carry your things up the stairs (I didn't mind that).

The location was perfect (next to Gyeonggi line, very calm area and walking distance to Hongdae station.) and the guest house is really nice. It's clean, calm and quiet, and the host was very nice to us! We booked a private double room and had access to our floor's shared bathroom. It was never crowded, and it was clean. Very good for the price! The guest house feels very comfortable, very homy, we loved the vibe here!

Super friendly and helpful owners, I've been going back to UWA since 2018 it's my "home" in Seoul. You get to meet people from all over the world, the neighborhood is especially good: whether you want to shop, stroll, listen to great artists busking in a super safe area. I recommend a 100%, I already sent people there as their first time in Korea!

Price is nice. Location is superb and convenient. Staff members are great. Jaeho is really friendly and allowed us to have an early check-in (12 pm). Also, we could leave our luggage at the place until late while we were waiting for our late-night flight. People who stay here are respectful and quiet.

The room isn't soundproof so we can still hear a lot of noises from outside.

Big bed and desk in the private room. Lots of big common areas on each floor. Bathrooms were also big, clean and had hot water. Free washing machine and kitchen seemed large and well equipped. Nice location in a quieter neighborhood of Seoul but still walking distance to subway, restaurants and shopping.

Shower design was awkard. The door would get wet and not a great place to hang your stuff.

We stayed in a family room. The room is clean, comfortable, with heater, and blanket. The kitchen and washing machine were a big help. I liked the room, facilities, property location, and value for money. The host is kind, accommodating, very helpful and provides immediate response to queries.

It could have been better if the toilet has a bidet or at least a pail with water dipper. But this did not spoil our stay. We managed even without these. It could have been better also if bigger towels were provided.
