- The location was amazing, close to the Metro station, the night food market and all main attractions in Myeongdong in walking distance - The room (I stayed in a private room with private bathroom) was clean, very spacious for Korean standards and equipped with all necessary amenities (including shower gel, shampoo, towels etc) - very friendly front desk team, very helpful with answering all sorts of questions, they also have a selection of restaurant and day-tour / hiking recommendations - roof top terrace with great view of N Tower - the room I stayed in was relatively sound proof and I didn't hear too much from the hallway, which is surprising considering that I stayed on the ground floor - great value for money

These are no major points, especially considering that it's technically a hostel (even though I had a private room): - the towels provided were tiny and didn't always have the freshest smell - it seems like the bathroom had some ventilation issues because it was always very humid and there were traces of mildew - it would have been nice to have more storage opportunities for clothing, there were only a few wardrobe hooks

Perfect place to stay if you're visiting Seoul, the room was a good size, comfortable and even had a bath. the staff couldn't be more helpful. It's situated 5 minutes walk to myeongdong shopping streets, it was very easy to go around the city from the hotel. We liked this place so much, that we ended up canceling another place we had in the city to stay here. They even offer a cheap hold luggage service, which allowed us to travel light when going to other town. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff at OYO Rooftop Hostel are wonderful, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is simple - cereal, toast, coffee, juice but everything you need. Rooms are small, bed very comfortable, bathroom clean - and had a bath as well as a shower which was very welcome. Situation in Seoul is excellent, area around the Hostel is vibrant but as the Hostel is in a side street it is quiet at night. Perfect area, lots of restaurants and convenience stores. Hostel offer a laundry service which we took advantage of and which was excellent. Value for money couldn't be beaten. Very happy to recommend

If I could ask for anything extra, it would be a wardrobe or at least a chest of drawers. Room space is tight, but I think a chest of drawers could be added under the TV instead of just a table. We stayed a week and were not able to unpack which made things a little difficult.

We really loved the area/ neighborhood of this hotel :) it's less than 10 min walk from the Metro station and easy to get to the lively area of Myeongdong, however, the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet :) and it's close to Nanshan cable car station and you can see Seoul along the way to the hotel! Our favorite part is the rooftop, though it was freezing cold during our visit, the city view from the rooftop and the close look at Seoul tower with serenity is just fascinating :) Also, the receptionist is friendly and approachable. He called a taxi for us and helped us with the luggage. recommend this hostel/ hotel if you're visiting Myeongdong! :)

there is no elevator in this hotel, so if you're carrying lots of luggage and staying in a room on a higher floor it would take more effort.

Very nice hostel! Staff are very helpful & are almost always available- breakfast is provided & cold/hot water always available too. Very comfy room as well as clean. The hostel also provides a laundry service for a small charge per basket that gets returned to you at the end of the day clean, dry and folded which was very helpful for our long stay there. Would recommend

Is up a hill on the comic road so can be tiring to get to after a long day in city but not bad at all. Mosquitoes can get in but spray is provided in rooms

Staff was very helpful, especially Gyu Yong. It was raining when we were in SK, and he was able to recommend us some indoor places for our children to play. He also recommended some excellent restaurants to eat. Location was great! The rooms were quiet. They had a small bread and cereal breakfast provided every morning. We got a family room, which was a decent size for a family of 5. It didnt feel to cramped inside.

Our restroom was constantly wet from underneath the tiles, even though no one showered.

I like everything about the hostel. We arrived early and the staff, Jason let us checked in early without any charges. They offered laundry service of KRW10,000 per basket. Free breakfast provided too. They also have private airport transfer for KRW65,000 per van to Gimpo or KRW80,000 per van to Incheon. It sits at the heart of Myeondong with halal Kampungku Restaurant and halal Korean Traditional Food Restaurant just few steps away. Perfect for those who wants to DIY their trip as its nearby Myeondong Metro station, Myeondong Night Market, bus transfer to Nami Island, and halal restaurants.

We really appreciated the staff there, they would always answer our questions or help us when needed. The rooftop was lovely, and the views were just awesome! The breakfast was simple - bread, jam, peanut butter, some other spreads, 2 types of cereal, milk, juice, tea, or coffee. It is very close to 7/11, perfect for late night cravings. We didn't use the laundry service, but it's cool that it's available. Our room was "compact" but had basic necessities. It's located on a hill, so every day was a leg day ;)

I have to say that the bathroom NEEDS renovation. Every metal piece was rusty, and there were black spots on the ceiling.. I really hope it wasn't mold, but I would cough the whole time I was in that room. The ventilation in the room was non-existent without the AC on. We could not find the way to open our window, so the smell could get pretty musty. Also, the towels were extremely small for some reason.

The hostel is perfectly located in a strategic position. We found it quite comfortable for commuting from/to the airport and also to reach other areas of Seoul through the metro.

The bathroom was blind and not well maintained. The shower is made with a curtain with a pipe linked to the sink. It works, but something dedicated would be better. I would recommend to redo the bathroom and then the room is a 10! One more thing: for breakfast I would suggest to consider also products for people with allergies/intolerances ;)

The location was perfect. A 3 minute walk in to Myongdong. All the shops you could want and after 6pm it becomes a night market. The hostel offers a breakfast of coffee, cereal and toast and jam. There are rooms that have to share bathroom facilities but what hostel doesn't. A laundry service and you can book a tour of the DMZ, Resonably priced.ni have been to many hotspots around the world and I have never felt as safe as I did in seoul. The mentality is similar to Hong Kong. White Europeans don't exist until you talk to them them they are so friendly.

I was on the top floor so, a bit of a hike as there is no lift. They like to advertise the rooftop, it's just a rooftop with artificial grass, chairs and that is all.
