Everything was lovely and friendly, especially the warden who had to stay several hours later than the time I had expected to arrive, but he didn't complain.

I couldn't find the place which is not well marked at the entrance with only a very small plaque and I don't think the building has a number. There are only a few numbers on the buildings in that street so I did a fair bit of walking up and down. My apologies to the warden for waiting so long for me. I didn't realise the place was so small and that there wouldn't be a warden there all the time. Could you send a map to the next visitors, or put one on the web site?

Really nice staff. Helped me get around. The room was what I needed and the airco worked perfectly. Really clean and well connected. I thought it'd need a towel but the room came with a towel and bed linen.

Room was quite small. Just a bed, a dresser and a table. But it was an individual room in any case. Manager could come into the room whenever which could be problematic but in this case felt safe enough and I had no issues. Have to pay the tax in cash (not really his fault but I wasn't prepared and had to pay high fees in the ATM)

The location is really good. You are always welcome to explore the city/attraction/beach via bus/on foot/metro. The city is not that big. The hostel is good, clean, and comfortable. Just need to close the window to reduce noise outside on the street during the weekend. I am lucky to have great roommates whom we can sometimes share our thoughts and have fun together. Overall, I had a great time during my stay in Bacalorna.

- The check-in time has to be agreed in advance, which is not always easy to estimate - The penalty for checking in after 22h is quite steep, especially considering this is already not a cheap place. Maybe you could propose an alternative like an external box with a code ? - Paying to leave your luggage after check-out is a very unusual thing to do in Barcelona

I loved the cosy nature of the place and how welcoming the staff were! Especially Patrick who is an enthusiastic gem! He gave me some bespoke tips that helped me plan my time wisely and was always there for a kind chat that I appreciated a lot. This made for such a friendly atmosphere that all the inhabitants adopted. So I felt super safe, which was important to me as a solo female traveller. Plus, the hostel is ideally placed for walking around to so many of the incredible, known and more obscure spots/ landmarks Barcelona has to offer! It is so easy and convenient, the location on offer is almost criminal for the price. Accommodation wise, I thought that both shared showers were extraordinary! And was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable my bed and pillow were! I also really enjoyed the onsite coffee and shared garden space to chill in when I needed. It made for such a gorgeous experience!

I noticed that there was dust around on surfaces that could do with a quick wipe around, but the main thing I didn't enjoy was having the loudest snoring room mate possible! Though I am aware that, that is just part and parcel of choosing a hostel! It made for a funny memory with my other room mates though!

Host was so nice. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned daily, even our beds were made. The kitchen is great, everything you could need is available. The location is in walking distance to almost everything and in a beautiful neighborhood.

Our room was facing the very busy street, cars all night long. There was a bar right below our window, which stayed open till 1am on a monday. The bedsheets had plastic or so on the bottom, so each movement of the other person while sleeping was very loud. If your a light sleeper these things could definitely get on your nerves.

I was so happily surprised by my stay here! I booked last minute and wasn't excited about a shared room, but I actually only ever had 1 other person in my room, and they were quiet and clean. I honestly never really heard anyone else in the hostel, and only saw about two other people the whole long weekend I was there. Everything was very clean, and Patrick, the host, is so kind and helpful! The location is absolutely perfect for exploring all areas of Barcelona, and the area immediately outside of the hostel felt clean, safe, and had lots of great food options.

I didn't realize from the description that there were only 2 bathrooms shared by the whole hostel (not per room). The bathrooms had very limited ventilation, and would get very warm and humid. Luckily with so few people there I didn't have a problem finding times to use the showers/bathroom, but it was something I hadn't been expecting.

I join the chorus of praise to this place and staff: the location is perfect to explore the city and go to the beach on foot; clean, tidy, cosy (I stayed in a 4-bed women dormitory). The bed linen and towel are provided. We had our own hairdryer in the room but they are also available in both bathrooms. A locker in the room for the valuable things. Opaque curtains, soundproof windows. Patrick is an exceptional host (and cleaner 🙂)

Location is amazing, easy access by public transportation from the airport and you can pretty much walk to everywhere. The host Patrick and all the staff I crossed were very welcoming and helpful all throughout the stay. The common areas and bathrooms were kept clean all day, very rare in hostal so I appreciated it a lot! You have access to the kitchen and fridge so that's a plus. Overall a great experience, I'd definitely recommend this hostal.

Bunk Beds were comfortable but they did moved a little bit, nothing to bother me personally but might be worth considering if you're a light sleeper. This doesn't take anything away from the good experience though.

Beyond expectation Place was easy to find (i wish the sign could be more obvious tho) Check-in was smooth. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He recommended Montjuic to me, which turned out to be my favorite spot in BCN. Lived in a 4-bed room, the rest of roommates are working professionals. Had great conversations. We all know that in such hostel, your living experience is largely depend on your roommates, and i was lucky enough to have friendly and respectful roommates. Living room and kitchen was lovely too.
