The only thing was they do not turn on the hotel AC during winter, even though the outside temp was 17 degrees Celsius (not winter temp) and gets very hot in the room. The only solution was to open the windows although other hotel guest might see you inside as the some hotel rooms windows are adjacent to each.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Great beds and bedding, we slept wonderful. Having a deluxe room with private pool, we were lucky enough to have a wonderful Terrasse too. The hotel has room service and massage services which we also both used and can positively highlight. Something else is the breakfast which was also HUGE. I want to positively highlight that there were vegan options, including vegan mortadella and cheese as well as vegan milks, hummus and lots and lots of fresh fruits. On the roof where the bigger pool lies, it is also possible to order snacks or bigger dishes (here too, a vegan hamburgesa was available). The staff was friendly and helpful, the area was also quite nice. There were amenities, also the television was new and well-functioning (including working Netflix etc). We really liked it and would definitely come back to this hotel.

For people who want to spend more time on their private terasses, it might be an idea to offer umbrella or protection from the sun.

From start to finish everything about this property and the whole stay was exceptional. We had planned to drop our luggage and come back after checkin as we were an hour early. However, we were greeted with a welcome cava and given access to our rooms. The hotel was beautiful, clean and felt luxurious but not pretentious. Our second bedroom was upgraded to the same as our deluxe pool room and they located next to each other. The room was beautiful, plenty of room and an amazing outdoor terrace and mini pool, that was hot enough to use in February. It is also a sun trap, and warm enough to sit and enjoy. The selection of toiletries was the best I’ve seen, and they were replenished if needed. As well as the usual items, toothbrushes, razors, sewing kits and more were available. We easily managed to watch programmes cast from our laptop onto the large wide screen. Unfortunately the pool was shut due to mandatory cleaning, however the terrace and pool area were lovely. Breakfast was plentiful and the selection managed to feed the most fussy of teenagers without a problem. Lactose free milk was available. Fresh omelette station as well as hot and cold food. Room service was available, quick and really reasonably priced. The staff were so helpful, one gentleman on reception went out of his way to give us his top restaurants in the area, and happily spent time going through the map and giving recommendations. We loved it so much, that we are already planning a short break next year to hopefully recreate just how relaxing and special it was. The location is also just so good. With major transport links such a short walk away and some great sites within walking distance.

Catalonia Eixample 1864is a truly great place to stay located right in the heart of the Barcelona. The hotel is clean and well-maintained and the rooms are cleaned daily, which makes a big difference in comfort. The hotel staff is professional and extremely friendly. I would especially like to thank Valentina and Mario, who were both exceptionally polite and helpful. Valentina in particular impressed me with her extensive knowledge about the city, which she generously shared with us. The helpfulness of the staff made our stay even more enjoyable and it’s one of the main reasons I will come back in the future.

The hotel is truly perfect. It’s spacious, the pool and rooftop are amazing, and the service is excellent. The staff are extremely kind and attentive everyone was helpful and welcoming, even at the entrance. I especially remember Paul (if I’m not mistaken about his name), who, together with his colleague, was exceptional: always friendly, helpful, and even gave us great recommendations.

The only downside for me was that there were too many kids around. For such a beautiful and relaxing hotel, the rooftop and pool area sometimes felt overcrowded and noisy. Children were playing cards, Uno, eating by the pool (despite the rules), which made the pool area feel a bit chaotic. The pool itself is a good size, but with more than 8 people inside, it already feels too busy. Another small detail is the music. It was only played near the bar area, so on the other side of the rooftop there was no atmosphere. Personally, I would have loved to hear a soft background playlist across the whole space something international and relaxing to match the vibe. I even noticed other guests using their headphones for music, just like I did.

The location is excellent for getting to lots of the different sites and attractions in the city with good public transport links close by. The room was comfortable with a good view onto the pedestrianised street below. The staff were always helpful and spoke excellent English (as I speak no Spanish). The rooftop terrace and pop are a highlight for a few hours of relaxation alternating between warming up in the sun and cooling off in the pool.

Nothing really to fault, we didn't go for the b&b option as it seemed quite expensive for breakfast - there are countless delicious bakeries around where we got pastries and drinks in the morning for about €5. Earlier check in/later check out would always be good but 3pm/12 midday wasn't too bad really!

The staff went out of the way to make my Spouse's birthday special. They left us some wine deserts in the room to celebrate which was the most memorable part of our stay at the hotel. The Location was very central.

Room size, Poor/missing air conditioning as per the season temperature, breakfast was very ordinary they could have had some more cooked vegetarian dishes, we stayed for 4 nights but opted out of breakfast for our last 3 nights. Super pricey! Just does not make any sense to pay so much.

Very warm welcome from Reception Staff. I had booked a twin & was given a double - this was sorted immediately & we were transferred to a lovely twin with walk in shower. Room size & facilities great for a city break, Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection of hot & cold choice. Fabulous area to stay - just make sure you pick up a map or have google maps on your phone. We got a Taxi to and from the Airport which meant a door to door transfer which was fab & meant no waiting around.

The roof top area was great, the pool is small but ideal for cooling off. Sangria was very good. Towells provided are great. Overall the staff are very friendly. Especially those at breakfast. Breakfast was good. Rooms great All.round no real complaints

Not so much i didnt like but other guests were moaning at reception in that the 1st night are taken from the card you booked with on the day before you check in. Seems a little.dreconian. it didnt bother me though.

The room was modern and spacious, with a really comfortable bed. The staff at the hotel were really helpful and welcoming. Location of the hotel was also fantastic - with a short walk to the city, public transport and even direct links to the airport.

There was nothing we did not like! The only thing we did not realise was that the pool was closed (maybe due to the season?), and we had planned to visit the pool in the mornings. Overall, it was not a problem for us, but something to consider.
