1. 24 hour reception was great 2. Breakfast was earlier than they said which was awesome for people struggling with jet lag and need an early morning coffee. 3. The washroom and shower was separated by gender that’s really a relief because it somehow can’t be locked properly 4. Not sure if it’s coincidence or they tried to place same gender in the same room which is a relief as well. 5. Everyone staff were very helpful. 6. Great location so I can come back and take a nap during the day because you can hardly get a full sleep during the night.

It’s not the hostel but a general idea for people checking this place out.The hostel is on the ground floor of a busy street with a bar. Be prepared the noise may be all night long( bar closed something like1 or 2 am and the city cleaning starts around 4 am. The bed I stayed was out of shape already, they need to change it.

I was able to wa;k to all the destinations I wanted to see. The reception staff were amazing. when I needed an umbrella, an electrical adaptor, directions, advice or some nice conversation they were always there for me. Comfortable beds and very nice furnished communal sitting room with TV and a quiet garden area to enjoy. Two kitchens meant never having to wait for anything. Good breakfast and lots of individual food storage for those who cook. A great find.

shower rooms were a little small but there are rwo showers in each shower room of which there were several, so no waiting ever.

The location, the facilities, beds very comfy, WiFi was strong, I and others could work in interrupted infact the atmosphere is perfect for working and they have a garden as well which is really nice! The Staff was super helpful and nice. I arrived late midnight and they were their to check me in.Tables in the room to work is also very amazing. Breakfast was additional which was also nice. there were soo many good restaurants around the hostel. so it was easy to get food a bakery is just on the opposite street.

Rooms were bit small, which is understandable since it's was an apartment turned into a hostel. The bathrooms can be busy, since there is only 1 washroom/room I guess. Breakfast was basic only coffee bread and some muffins. egg would have been welcome addition.

The living room is nice and cozy and makes it easy to meet people. The staff is very helpful and kind and even at night there is somebody at the reception. The hostel is located very well and everything was super clean.

The beds are really bad: uncomfortable, unstable, very, very noisy when you turn around and the storage underneath was annoying. It's time to renew them. The room was very tiny and had 3 bunkbeds in it. I understand that they want to make more profit, but this room is too tiny for 3 bunksbeds and they should just leave it with 2.

The staff was absolutely lovely, and there was such a calm but wholesome atmosphere with other wonderful travellers staying as well. Super clean (it's an old building and it is a hostel, so, adjust expectations accordingly) and good amenities.

The price was quite high - but it was Primavera week, which I know from previous years does mean the prices all throughout Barcelona are insane. Overall the best deal I could have scored for the week :) Also the shower rooms were a little pokey, but at least very clean and good water pressure lol

Location and staff are wonderful!

The main issue was the women’s showers. There are no locks on the showers or the door leading to the showers, and the door leading to the showers swings open, so you basically had to quickly be naked while you grabbed your towel and hope nobody walked by at that time. Another option would be to bring the towel into the shower with you but you’d risk getting it wet because it is a very small space. The water also sprayed outside the shower quite a bit and then guests are asked to mop up the water that gets out. And then the ceiling of the shower was pretty gross.

Very very good place! I was in few Hostels in Barcelona but since i visited Hostel BARCELO i am their guest last 4 years. Always i was spenindg great time there, rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, Lobby bar with sofás and kitchen is big, there is a fridge so everybody can leave food and prepare. Staff is amazing, only nice words i have for people who are Working in Hostel Barcelo, always open to talk and very welcome. For location no doubt i recommend this Hostel because its also close to the every important and famous place in Barselona that turists visiting.

The staff is amazing. It was really a great experience. They did a great job also with the cleaning. Showers are always working fine, and the restrooms are always so clean. It doesn't even look like other people are using it at all, that's crazy. I had such a great time just talking to the staff whenever I could and learning more about Barcelona. The beds are really comfortable, it felt like home. Another thing that is worth to mention, they have curtains in each bed, so it makes it very private to sleep, also each bed has an individual power station and lamp, so if you want to read at night that cool book or charge your phone privately (maybe overnight), this was so helpful since I need my phone to do pretty much everything here in Europe. The common area is very comfy too, with great sofas and an external area to hangout with a lot of chairs.

Well it's hard to say but I guess was that mostly of the crowd here (people staying) did not look like the party type, very quiet (which is good for mostly of the time). Even thou they are all international, mostly are not really interested in exchanging experiences or getting to know you. So it is nothing actually to do with the hostel just the type of people that was here when I was.

Such a positive and relaxed energy, warmth and friendliness of the staff and openness to help wherever they can. Special thanks to dear Anja for a wonderful and sincere welcome and for making people feel important and comfortable during their stay. I am also grateful to the hardworking Giorgio for a lot of advice and his kindness. And to the whole team and their efforts. You have breakfast included and that's a great idea. The beds have curtains, which means a lot for privacy. The location is great, not too far and transportation is available. Really a nice place and I'm looking forward to coming there again because it was really a nice experience. Accommodation is important, but even more so are the people who make the place special and make you feel welcome!✨

Location excellent for the city centre Easy to get to via Metro and walking. Easy to walk to most places of interest. The hostel was very clean overall. All the shared facilities were maintained and cleaned very well and frequently. Room was clean given that is was shared with others. Was very secure

Staff are exceptionally helpful and go out of there way to find an answer or a solution. Great facilities for early arrival before check in and after checking out with secure luggage storage. As this was the first time I have used a hostel I could not have had a better experience
