The location is perfect and the lounge with outside terrance is nice and tidy. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful, really appreciated their help and also they met my request for a room in the highest floors.

Unfortunately the room was really aged, it needs to be fully repainted, not to talk about the water infiltration visible under the ceiling. They need to invest some money renovating. The lift once stopped a step below the level floor. The sofa pillows on the terrace definitely needs to be washed.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and have no complaints! Excellent location, 5 min walk to La ramblas and placa de Catalunya (main square to get you tourist bus/airport bus) also hotel is situated right next to Universtat Metro! Plenty shops/coffee & restaurants around hotel! Great vibes and decor!! Clean, staff very friendly, clean bedrooms every morning and there’s free tea/coffee/biscuits/sweets and water. Also outdoor area which is a little sun trap!. We had a balcony room and didn’t hear much noise from outside! Aircon is good too!!! Was recommended by a friend and I would definitely recommend!!

There was nothing that we didn’t like

The hotel design and decorations are very original. We found many small details with a lot of care from the owner. Although there is no breakfast, but you can have a self-service pantry where you can find coffee, tea, milk, cookies, etc. for your drink. There is also sparkling water in tap. The public areas are clean, quitet and very nice, especially the patio with green plants. We also like the small gifts like a bag, the small bottle of wine and the pack of snack, 2 candies, etc. in the room.

The staff are not a the hotel round the clock, so you may need to call or wait for their services. We arrived at the hotel on the day of the total power cut in Iberia and we had very bad experience to reach to the hotel. Yet, we had little help from staff. We knew that everyone was panic on that day but this was exactly when we needed the most support from local people and staff of our hotel.

Perfect location and branding idea! The 24/7 tea, coffee, water, and cookies supply is so nice and takes away a lot of stress when you are on the mission to quickly explore the city. Even though the staff on reception didn't work when we were checking out early in the morning, we were able to do everything smoothly with self check-out. No stress, only positive emotions from the trip♡

The air conditioning is too strong (literally hurt my eyes even when I closed them) and doesn't turn off unless you take away the card from the cardholder (but then you have no electricity in the room, i.e. can't charge your phone overnight). Also, the absence of the toilet brush was a bit inconvenient when you have to share your space with someone else.

MY FAVOURITE ALL TIME BARCELONA HOTEL, the location is the best, 20m a metro station, bus stops, taxi station within 50m, cafes , restaurants all around, and shops everywhere untill late opening hours. Place Catalonia is just 5 minutes by walk. The hotel stuff was very kind, and the room was ok, the bed is comfortable, bathroom is quite OK. the hotel safe is working well and easy to use the hotel lobby has free cafe and tee drinks for the guests, and the lobby has a nice open air terrace , to sit outside and feel the Barcelona fresh air. the hotel room has funny things, like soap dispenser has a funny print on the can, : " glad to see you naked again" which makes me laugh every morning when going to have a shower . The marketing guy in the hotel company was a stand up comedian in his former life:) The breakfast is not offered by the hotel, no worry, we found a cafe 40m from the hotel entrance to the right, (the name of the cafe sounds like the capitol of Austria, so you can easily find upon this name :)they have a professional croque monsier , and a wide variation of foods and drinks for breakfast, take this place having a fine breakfast. For dinner we recommend the superfood restaurant nearby, making superfresh poke bowl, dont eat always hamburgers, try this to catch the barcelona superfood feeling, and try this Aloha poke bowl. take care in the metro and crowded shopping streets, as pickpocket is well spread, leave valuables in the hotel safe, if you are looking for the best price/value, take this hotel, as all in all you will get high value for this price, We will always come back when we come to Barcelona, as we do since 4 years as we are visiting BArcelona fairs, every year. we liked everything in Barcelona and the hotel

The location is perfect and for a "basic" hotel cleanliness and facilities were amazing. The room, bathroom and shower were spatious and the location is great (in the newer part of Barcelona, close to shops and restaurants).

I had the room next to the elevator shaft, onto which the window opened. Unforunately this made it difficult to get fresh air into the room (which was OK because there was airco) but the elevator ofcourse also made noises throughout the day and night. I'm sure no other room had this so just bad luck. It was not extremely loud but a little annoying here and there..

Location was convenient. Communal area on first floor very pleasant with coffee/tea and cold water available 24/7. There were also dishes, a mini fridge, microwave and a dining area. No breakfast was provided but you could buy your own and eat there.

The ground floor entrance definitely needs a makeover. Carpet looked dirty and first impression of hotel not good. Upstairs was fine, clean etc but we were concerned upon entering. Our room was quiet as requested but pretty small.

Well located hotel, a few steps from the Rambla, other important streets and historic sights. Many shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The neighborhood is lively and safe. Our room was facing the courtyard and was very nice, quiet and comfortable. The hotel is not staffed after 17:00 until 10:00am but check-in is possible outside these hours. In the common area that opens up to the patio has a microwave and you can use the plates and cutlery to warm up your food and take it to eat in the patio or in your room. Free coffee and tea and water is available. In general, this is a great hotel for a young couple that want to be in the centre of this exciting city.

The bathroom could do with some small smartening-up and re-decorating.

Great location - close to public transportation and larger squares. The rooms and common areas are renovated and new. Beds are comfy and large pillows. Room is equipped with a small desk, clothes cabinet with hangers and a safe. There is air conditioning and also a cieling fan. Also, they have water bottles available, which you can refresh in the reception.

Bathrooms are not updated, which mostly was a problem for the bath/shower. Although clean, the shower head had very low pressure due to the mechanism of changing between shower head and faucet for the bathtub.

Top location beside the metro and the center, harry from the reception of the chic and basic reding is awesome, we had a problem with our room in chic and basic lemon, he offered us another room in reding which was so good with the same price so my recommendation is to book reding not lemon which is 100 meters away

All the window shutters aren’t working good and getting a lot of noise like wind whistles and street sound
