The location was perfect, 3 minute walk to Las Ramblas. Very easy to reach from El Prat Airport. The reception area was pretty nice. Staff were friendly. There is a good working lift! we travelled in the middle of June so it was quite hot and the aircon was working very well during our 4 day stay. The room was clean. The room has a safe and refrigerator where we kept our water to cool. Our double bed was comfortable and we slept so good. The toilet was clean and it’s got a rain shower which I love. We did not avail of the breakfast so we can’t comment on it. There’s a working TV. The Wi-Fi was perfect, it worked all the time.

We kept the do not disturb sign when we leave for the day, but housekeeping keeps cleaning the room. There is one ceiling light that keeps blinking although I did forget to report this to the hotel staff.

The bathroom was quite large. The stuff was really helpful. The location is excellent.

The door to the bathroom is glass, transparent, and like the old offices, they don't seal well, so they don't provide complete privacy. The savory breakfast options were excellent, but the sweet section was disappointing. The donuts taste like they are ten days old.

Good location, patient and unobtrusive staff. There is a very cheap supermarket nearby, as well as cafes, bars, shops on the adjacent street that leads to the Rambla. Regular Double room is not large, but not cramped!!! The minibar is included in the price, but is not replenished. Rooms are cleaned every day, even if you leave the hotel at lunchtime. The bed is ordinary. Lots of sockets, a wardrobe, a full-length mirror, a safe, a large TV and thick, languid curtains! Spacious bathroom, always hot water, night lighting. The room faces the courtyard, you can't hear any noise from the street at all. Elevator. 24 hour reception at the entrance. I didn't take breakfast. Badly Not flexible check-in, but suitcase storage is available. Uncomfortable pillows You can hear other rooms in the corridor. Upon arrival, there is no coffee or water offered at the entrance. Strange smell in the elevator. I asked to be woken up at 03:30 - no one called!

I recently stayed at the Chic&Basic Redding Hotel in Barcelona, and while the hotel itself was pleasant, the service left much to be desired. On the positive side, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of the city and close to the red and green metro lines as well as several bus routes. This made getting around Barcelona incredibly easy, with many major attractions just a short ride or walk away. The hotel’s cleanliness was also noteworthy. Both the rooms and common areas were spotless, and my room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Another highlight was the availability of good quality coffee and tea 24/7 in the common areas, which was a nice touch for guests. Breakfast to go was also available upon request.

My experience with the front desk staff was disappointing. Unlike the people of Barcelona in general, they were the most unfriendly hotel staff I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were neither greeted nor welcomed, and when we left, there was no thank you or goodbye. Every time I needed information, I felt as if I had to pry it out of them, which made every interaction uncomfortable. Additionally, the hotel requires upfront payment upon arrival, which, while financially logical, felt impersonal and gave an impression of mistrust. It made the check-in process feel transactional rather than welcoming, adding to the sense of being unwelcome.

The location is really top-notch, just a few minutes walking from the central square of Plaza de Cataluna. Public transportation is also easily accessible. The fact that the hotel is renovated also makes it a perfect place to stay, with modern rooms and comfortable beds. The staff was also helpful. Our luggage didn't arrive with the same flight, and the hotel staff communicated with the Barcelona airport and received the luggage for us.

The price is a bit too high, especially for a big city like Barcelona that provides plenty of accommodation options. Yet if we had booked it earlier, maybe we could have scored a better deal.

The staff was very gracious and helpful. Each person always smiled and greeted me when leaving in the morning to go sightseeing and when I returned in the evening. When I had difficulty with the coffee machine, the young lady from the front desk came right up and helped me. The beds had extra long pillows, which I used to support my legs while I slept and reduced my back pain. I think the favorite part of staying here was the bathroom. The shower was amazing, and the mood lighting in the bathroom made a great nightlight. Oh yeah, the location was great as well. I would stay here again.

The bed was a bit hard for me, but that is not the hotel's fault.

The location of the property close to the Ramblas and a hidden gem of the bohemian Ravel district was a true find. A great base to explore the city from. Lots of fab bars, restaurants and atmospheric streets. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Excellent, comfy bed, room was spacious. Hotel was quiet and shower facilities were fantastic. Staff were very pleasant and kind.

The carpet was stained which was the only down side.

The interior color scheme is amazing, with a successful combination of colors starting from the hall and ending with the room. Comfortable beds, an open wardrobe, a fridge, a TV with smart TV (finally! Who needs local cable in hotels when everyone wants YouTube and Netflix). Delicious breakfasts, there is space for work, the opportunity to make tea and coffee for free. Convenient location. Very warm and pleasant impressions.

Beautiful and interesting decor. Room was quite specious. We had a coffee machine in the room, very nice touch. We also got coplementary drinks: water and a little bottle of wine in our romm. Our bathroom was not properly cleaned, I noticed some hair and dirt on the floor. The staff was very kind, they let us leave our luggage before check in and after check out

Great location. Close to Plaza Catalunya and Plaza Universitat with lots of bus options. Staff was great. Breakfast in a box was more than enough. Keurig is available in the room as well as downstairs. Shower was the best! We were also able to check-in early which was very appreciated.

Room was a bit cramped once all our luggages have been laid-out.
