Service was great! From a warm welcome to a sincere farewell, the stay was perfect from start to finish. Staff were attentive and quick to respond to additional requests, making an effort to go above and beyond. We definitely had a great stay

Points deducted for pre-arrival confusion where we were suddenly asked for a 25% deposit via bank transfer (for a 'long stay' of 7 nights or our booking would be dropped) when the terms of the booking were free cancellation up to one day before arrival and payment upon arrival at property. A credit card number had also been provided upon booking. We were willing to pay the deposit to secure our stay of course, but the way the request was dropped on us just a couple of weeks before our arrival did cause some anxiety.

The rooftop terrace bar was so lovely to sit at in the evening with a cooling breeze, lovely staff and an amazing view of La Pedrera. Breakfast was excellent with a big variety of foods, all of the hot and cold options we tried were delicious. We had a terrace room which was really spacious and well decorated. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The location is perfect as we like to be able to walk and explore and it’s about a 20/30 minute walk to most key locations. All of the staff were lovely and helpful when needed.

The only thing we found frustrating was on one day when we got back from a hot day exploring the city we wanted to go for a swim in the pool. We went to the downstairs pool and despite there only being two people at the actual pool all of the available loungers were ‘reserved’ with people having left their stuff on them so others couldn’t use the loungers even though they weren’t currently at or using the pool. With the pools only being small and having a few loungers available I feel like people shouldn’t be allowed to do this and loungers should be left free if people aren’t using them and are elsewhere in the hotel etc.

The location of the hotel was excellent , the staff were so super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you , it was my daughters 21st and they placed a card and chocolates for her return after our evening out . The garden area is lovely and the rooftop bar very special with the plunge pool . I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this hotel .

If I had to find a negative at all which is very hard to do I would say that breakfast was quite expensive but the choice was amazing and the quality of food first class .

Although the room was rather too small f the staff were extremely friendly. The courtyard garden was lovely to eat in, and the food was delicious. A small menu, but creative and very well and freshly cooked .

I had expected a larger room as it had a Veranda with it... I would have happily had a larger room with a smaller Veranda, but either I didn't see them, or they weren't many descriptive pictures of the rooms and sizes.

Location. Lovely Courtyard. Large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Near to Diagonal subway stop so can reach Rambla area easily. Near to Passeig de Gracia, Barcelona’s elegant Fifth Avenue-style shopping street. And Gaudi’s La Pedrera/Casa Milà masterpiece. Had two elevators which is good to have in a restored mansion hotel. Building is attractive. Soundproofing works well as my room faced the street and I hardly heard the traffic noise.

Did not have fresh orange juice at breakfast. Which was otherwise excellent. Spain is famous for its oranges so orange juice here should not disappoint. I don’t know what kind of OJ they had but it was not fresh Valencia OJ

Excellent location in the heart of the upscale Exiample District. Room was exceptionally clean. Large private terrace for relaxing and a lively green courtyard to breathe and relax after a day of walking.

I had a room with an excellent terrace, but it was located on the floor directly above the lobby and breakfast area. It was very noisy in the morning and evenings. I could hear people talking, laughing, dishes clanging etc. until the last night. Apparently they shut a door to the hallway that helped, but why didn’t they do that the first 6 days? The King mattress was lumpy, squeaked, and I could literally feel the springs and a large “valley” in the mattress.

Very friendly and kind staff, supported us throughout a stay and always made an extra efforts to accommodate the inquiries. A small surprise present for a kid in the room was a nice gesture and small sweet presents for the birthday day- very much appreciated. Good breakfast and nice location!

Duvet cover is separate from duvet itself, its just bed sheets. not comfortable bed linen Suggestion to change hair dryer , this one with press button is old enough and not convenient if you have long hair and want to spend time outside sightseeing but not making up hair

Our room was perfect; luxurious, super spacious and very well equipped with everything we might need. We were three friends and were able to stay together comfortably. I could've easily stayed for weeks.

Luxury is super important; if the hotel entrance is renovated including the lobby area, it'll take this hotel to higher heights and will look more appealing to all guests. The entrance from the street and lobby area are not doing the hotel justice.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely touch with a glass of Cava on arrival and cases taken to room with early check in accommodated. The balcony overlooking the street was great and lovely neighbourhood too and even though rooftop bar was not open as out of season it was a great space to sit wait cracking views and a real sun trap.

Our tv was only showing half the channels. We asked if this could be remedied and were told an engineer had been called but was never fixed by end of trip and no feedback given either. Bath towel wasn’t replaced on last day so had to use a face cloth before early morning flight 🫣

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, from the front desk staff, to the dining staff, to the roof top bar staff! The breakfast buffet and choices were excellent. The roof top bar area was great and comfortable. A lot to look at.

As mention above, the room seemed a bit tight especially with a couple pieces of luggage, but the bathroom was amazing. Plenty of room and very clean.
