From the time we stepped into the hotel, to checking in, and entering our room, everything was perfection! We thoroughly enjoyed our hotel room and the view from the balcony was amazing! We were guided by concierge (Xavi, apologies if I misspelled his name) on the best way to explore the city! The doormen were very courteous as well. Breakfast was amazing! So fresh, so delicious! Staff were so welcoming and accommodating!

The staff was exceptional. The rooftop restaurant bar was fantastic. Excellent property and a perfect location. I would highly recommend it and plan on going back again.

Staff are fantastic - even whrn w ehad a cup of tea in the restaurant we were treated really nicely by the gentleman in the restaurant bar area. The foyer team always made us feel they new us and were very attentive. Location of the Monument is unbeatable for a long weekend in Barcelona where one can walk to most of the key sites. Bathrooms were immacultately clean. Bedroom was always well turned out. The breakfasts were perfect and table service was attentive and friendly.

The TV kept rebooting but it got sorted. Clarity on availabilty of evening meals/restaurant.

From the moment we arrived at the Monument Hotel until we checked out, the service was exceptional. The staff was warm, welcoming and they could not do enough for us. They helped with lost luggage, dinner reservations, and local recommendations. Our party of 5 loved our double suite, especially the extra bathrooms. The hotel is elegant and smells delicious all the time! Breakfast in the morning was also fresh, delicious and excellent, with plenty of gluten free options. The location was perfect, in the middle of everything which made it easily walkable. The view from the rooftop bar was beautiful and a great place for an afternoon drink. We loved everything about this hotel. A special thank you to Xavi, Marta and Carlos for making our stay so easy and memorable.

Quaint hotel at a very nice location with a cute rooftop pool, very nice breakfast spot on the rooftop terrace (or inside), and lounge bar. Fantastic staff from Concierge Services, via Check-in, all the way through to Restaurant and Bar Services.

The rooms could be bigger for the price requested — especially when called a "suite". The shower tub had an annoying counter-slope sending water in the opposite direction of the drain leading to some overspilling out onto the bathroom floor. A joint flap was missing to the bathroom door and the fixed glass to avoid additional wetting of the bathroom floor. The one* Michelin restaurant is overstated.

We chose this based on the reviews and Monument did not disappoint. 1) This was our second hotel in Barcelona and we wanted to be in this area for the food, shopping be closer to Segrada by foot. But still relatively close if we wanted to head back to the beach or gothic quarters 2) Staff from the moment you walk in were spectacular, friendly and always willing to help and go beyond 3) Food was great, we only ate at the rooftop, lunch/dinner and breakfast daily, again, staff went beyond courteous, and selection was far better than the previous hotel we stayed at

1) Not a big deal, but their was no ground floor lounge area, we were told it's under construction so we look forward to future visits 2) Gym was a tad small, had the basics, 3 cardio and some weights. Treadmill wasn't working though. Otherwise, it was accessible pretty much earlier morning to late evening.

Location was excellent, in the best shopping district and just a few steps away both directions to two major Gaudi buildings. Our room was just perfect with one of the most comfortable beds ever in a hotel! Breakfast exceeded expectations completely. The staff are all not just professional but make you feel like you're part of the family.

Let me just say everything here was excellent except for the Ceasar Salad. I'm a Ceasar salad connoisseur and Ceasar dressing has to be made with an egg yolk, dijon, olive oil, lemon, parmesan AND anchovies! The one I had was more of creamy blue cheese dressing. They HAVE to change their dressing or call the salad something else. Otherwise the food there is amazing.

The concierge and butlers are consummate professionals who ensured all our needs were taken care of. So impressed with them! A joy to see every morning before heading out. As a matter of fact, ALL staff from reception to bartender to room service are exceptional. Also, location in beautiful Eixample off Paseo de Gracia is unbeatable.

Room a wee bit small for a junior suite.

Pros: The staff was very welcoming and attentive, particularly Jorge at the front door. The room was spacious and comfortable. It boasted two balconies facing the corner of Passeig de Gracia, which was great. The A/C worked very well. The bed, pillows, and linens were very comfortable. Location is excellent, close to top-notch restaurants and sites of interest, such as Casa Milo/La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, and designer shops. The rooftop was fun and the food/drinks were excellent. Breakfast was also great--the pastries were particularly exceptional. The hotel boasts two Michelin-rated restaurants (Lasarte, with 3 stars, and Oria, with 1 star), not to be missed for foodies. Will definitely return.

Cons: The TV was difficult to navigate. Water dripped outside of the shower when showering.
