Breakfast is a very basic but OK. There are many small restaurants within 50-100 m proving breakfast from 10-15 e / person should you wish to elsewhere. Location in the old city. Restaurants and shops near. Nice small spa (20 e/1,5hours)

Can NOT change heating off to cooling. Air condition is locked to heating. Church bells ring every sharp hour, every 15 past, every half an hours and even 15 to next full hours (like 01:45, 11:45:112.45 etc..)

Everything! The setup, the care for every detail, the breakfast, the outdoor pool and the spa, the roof terrace at night with gorgeous views of the coast, and the way you are welcomed to use every spot and every corner of the hotel. The hotel is SUPERB and the staff are AMAZING: The check-in was smooth, a houskeeper helped us find OUR room, the bartender helped us get to the spa, the spa hostees recomended a restaurant nearby that was brilliant... CAN'T FAULT IT.

Kind staff, clean, super location in middle of charming pueblo. Lots of great dining options nearby. Kindly prepared picnic breakfast as we checked out at 7am.

We had a fantastic 3 day break. The room was large and the bed was comfortable and very big. Everywhere was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly, especially the waiters. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Marked the score low for location as the road outside the hotel had been dug up, which made it difficult for walking. Maybe this should be mentioned in the booking as I understand the condition of the road has been like that for several months. But the views from the balcony were great.

Would have been nice to have an armchair or couch in the room but it was fab otherwise. Slight downside on arrival reception insisted in my filling out credit card details on paper form which I didn’t so had to pay a deposit (fine) but on leaving they were unable to refund it insisting that my back will return it in 30days this remains to be seen and is not normal process

The hotel is beautiful and exactly as in the photos. We had a room on the ground floor which overlooked the restaurant. Unfortunately, the pool was closed and maintenance was being carried out but it didn't disturb us. The breakfast was great and even better for the amazing sunrise and panoramic views over the coast. We treated ourselves to a spa experience and highly recommend it. We didn't have treatments but as it was 11 am we had the whole place to ourselves. The lady explained everything and left us to enjoy the peace, wonderful! She even bought mint tea and water. The location is perfect and close to shops, bars, and restaurants. As we were there between Christmas and New Year, not everything was open, but we still had plenty of choice. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk and will take you to the newer part of town and the coat and marina in 20 minutes. It's a pleasant if long walk down, but coming back is uphill so it was great to have the option of public transport.

Beautiful hotel situated in a lovely part of the old town. Friendly staff, the hotel was spotless, and spacious. No rush for sun loungers in fact on many occasions we had the pool to ourselves and there is a lovely sun terrace too. A great hotel for a peaceful and relaxing break. The food was also extremely tasty and there was plenty to choose from. Most guests we spoke to were returning customers and we hope to be returning in the future too

There is nothing to dislike about this rustic hotel. It is further from the beach than anticipated (40 min walk downhill) but there is a good bus service and taxi rank near the hotel.

We had a fantastic holiday again. This is the 3rd year of coming to La Fonda, and it won't be the last. Loved the newly decorated rooms and breakfast as always was amazing. We ate in the restaurant and it was outstanding. Staff are all friendly and very helpful. The spa was very relaxing. Loved being able to order drinks to the pool area, and I absolutely loved the cocktails.

There is a spa there with fantastic facilities for such a small hotel but .... I booked the spa with an employee for 5pm on Sunday 17th August and there was no one around to turn on all the facilities within the spa, so the steam room, sauna, plunge pool etc.. where not working so no spa was enjoyed which was disappointing.

Location was good. Hotel was traditional with good breakfasts. The evening restaurant was one of the best around if not the best, pity it only opens on a few days. Rooms were very clean, although the beds had seen some wear so not the most comfortable. Quiet location very close to a pretty square, with cafes and the other good restaurant. The plaza square is the main attraction to the pueblo and gets lots of visitors. The Bus service covered main towns etc and was very cheap. If you want a change from the beach, this is the place to stay.

Shower had low pressure so more of a trickle than a flow and difficult to get the temperature right. This was the only grouse, everything else was good.
