Great location. Decent size rooms - we had sea facing and it was a lovely room. Shower very powerful. Very friendly and efficient staff, particularly Karina on reception. Breakfast was good, but a bit cold. Decent value overall. Would definitely stay there again and can totally recommend the Hotel Montemar. Thank you to all at the hotel. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Paying for a safe each day - should include it in the price. No small fridge or tea and coffee making facilities. But that’s all - it didn’t matter too much as the hotel was excellent and was spot on. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We booked a VIP room, and it was fabulous. From check-in to departure, everything was faultless. We arrived early, and the room was ready. The VIP rooms are amazing. Our room looked out onto the beach. The rooms have a fridge, sea view balcony, lovely towels, bath and shower. The room was cleaned daily and was spotless. Reception staff were helpful and spoke excellent English. The terrace barman was so happy and made great cocktails. We booked full board, and all food was buffet. Will definitely be back

Was lucky to be able to check-in to room at 11.30am even though we only went to leave a bag. Staff excellent. Location is brilliant and room very quiet even though it was mid-July. The rooms are a bit dated the shower was above the bath. Room was spacious and very clean. The rooftop bar has amazing views and reasonably priced drinks. Breakfast was very good with plenty of hot/cold options and plenty of seating. The chef even gave me his freshest cooked fried egg :-)

Great location, close to shops and restaurants. Old town areas which was very quiet. Half board which was brilliant food very good. Fish/meat cooked fresh every night. Wine priced very reasonable. We had sea view room highly recommended,had sun all day and evening on the balcony. Staff were very friendly. Rooms cleaned very day. Roof top bar excellent for evening drinks and watched the sunset.

Vegetarian meals were poor

It’s ideally located in new town, not too noisy and has a fabulous view. Breakfast is decent also

Breakfast is busy around 0900-0930. It needs to have a better flow for where things are. Coffee machines one end with sugar and sweeteners the other end of the counter, oh and a toaster machine in the middle of all that. Move the toaster machine to the other end. This property also doesn’t have a pool but it does have a lovely roof top bar to watch the sun go down.

We have stayed before and like this hotel for its location and helpful staff. The sea view rooms are lovely.

The room could have been cleaner. The cheese at breakfast was the cheap cheese sliced type that looks like plastic.

Pre booked our room with sea Veiw and asked to hire a fridge.,but upon arrival we asked if we could up grade. We were given the 6th floor. Fridge included in the price, sun loungers and table and chairs on the balcony. So much space. Breakfast was as expected.

The beds were a little hard but everyone has their own preference

The view from our seaview room and the rooftop bar was fantastic. A beautiful little area that was cozy and comfortable with great music, a great bar man and the most fantastic view of the sun setting each evening. Perfect.

The rooms are a little on the small side. The air con kept resetting itself to 23 degrees and even at 14 it was still too hot. No kettle in the rooms either. At this time of year a lot of Spanish pensioners stay for free holidays and they can be really rude & pushy. Because of this we had to queue each morning for breakfast. They also tend to get served quicker than us!

The location and the comfortable room

That the entertainment doesn't start until 10pm. Deni, the animation leader has to work on the terrace bar until 10pm - previously it started at 9 and there were things on like black and white party, fancy dress party, hat party, games etc, now it is all just dancing. Not Deni's fault, he is brilliant but a bad management decision

Excellent Location, our room was clean and well maintained (super shower). No pressure to vacate rooms early in the morning. Lifts worked really well, and delivered us directly to the dining room

Here you Spanish people have a great problem with the English, but maybe you could compromise and begin the evening meal earlier. In England 6pm is usual for evening meal, and always in the past in Spain the evening meal was 7pm.....so eating at 8pm had me reaching for the Antacid medicine to counter going to bed on a full stomach. Not healthy!
