We were on the 5th floor and woke every morning to a beatiful sea view,and sat on the balcony in an evening as it was getting dark, visually quite stunning, this was great but I really want to say how lovely the food was, both the breakfast and the evening meal, which was better than some of the local restaurants, and that's saying something, but most of all I want to praise the staff in the dining room who made us feel very specieal ( maybe it's because we always greeted them with a smile) but they were wondeful, they even ordered in soya yohurts just for my wife The ladies who cleaned our room always did a lovely job and were very cheerful when ever we met and spoke The staff on reception, one lady in particular had a way of making us feel that they were always genuinely pleased to see us we have stayed in Calella before as we have family there, and will be returning to the Hotel Volga when we next come

We stayed in room 515 and would have liked the air con to be a little more efficent and the fact that I now need to go on a serious diet now I'm home

Our room was amazing. We had a wraparound balcony with whirlpool tub overlooking looking the Mediterranean. Breathtaking views. When checking in we shared that we were celebrating our anniversary. They brought us champagne on the house. Breakfast while the same each day, was really yummy. Especially the omelette station. Just a short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Train station is across the st. All of Calella is with I a 20 minute walk. We didn't get the chance to enjoy the pool, but it looked nice. We were thrilled with our stay here and if ever in the region again would be looking to book room 506 once again.

The AC wasn't particularly strong. It got a bit warm at times. Breakfast was really good, but it would've been an added bonus if the offerings changed a little from day to day. That's the slightest of nitpicking though. When in the room it wasn't a bother, but when on the balcony there was quite a bit of loud music playing. Obviously the hotel can't control noises outside, but I believe some of it might've been being played by the hotel for their night time activities. I'm not 100% on where the music was coming from though. And in the room, we couldn't hear a thing. We were a bit worried that the trains would be noisy, but honestly even when outside, they were pretty muted. Otherwise we really did love it here

Location:  In quieter zone of Callela compared to other hotels. Beach,shops, parking, public transport are within 5 minutes by walk. Parking:  3,20€ for day ticket next to the NUI beach bar. 5 min by walk from hotel. Necessary to pay every morning from 9:00 and leave ticket in the car. Room: Modern, clean, well equipped with small fridge and balcony. Kitchen and Bar: Rich selection of breakfast and dinner. Every one meal was delicious. A big compliment for the chefs and waiters/waitresses/barman. Normal prices in the bar. Reception: Professional, welcomy, always present and willing to help. Adventures: Aquapark marineland with dolphin show, Adventure park - quads/rope climbing and many more Barcelona is one hour away with train and there are plenty of places to visit. Calella is delightful for those who try to avoid crowds and enjoy 30°C temperature

We stayed for the Ironman event, the location is perfect, out the window directly infront is the T1 & T2. 8/10 mins walk. Swim start is about 8 mins walk same direction. Whereever you stay you have to cross the train line which runs the length of the beach and is between the hotels and the beach. It’s simple enough. The registration is about a mile walk but everything’s so close. The hotel was fantastic, catered for the Ironman event with early breakfasts on race morning for athletes, the staff were lovely, attentive and always there to help. There are two lifts, bikes go on end inside and all very easy. Hotel was filled with athletes so had a great vibe. Pool is perfect size for a splash around and a few breaststroke lengths. It is not suitable for squeezing in your last swim session. Had a refurbished room, was clean, could fit all our kit for two people and two bikes. We left the bikes and bike boxes on the balcony which is big enough for them and overlooked the pool. Nearly all athletes also had their bikes out on the balconies too. All in all a good variety of food at breakfast, hot, cold, cereals, croissants, yoghurts etc. there are no kettles in the rooms for teas and coffees, I think you can ask at reception for one for an extra charge but don’t be dreaming if that hot cuppa on arrival.

One of the coffee machines at breakfast the milk that gets added automatically is so so sweet. Had to go for a long black and add milk from the breakfast bar which was okay but a better coffee machine would be amazing.

An excellent hotel. I chose it because it is extremely easy to get to Barcelona. Trains run every 15-25 minutes and the train station is eaxt near the hotel (2 minits walk). It is the ideal place to visit Barcelona and relax at the same time (on the beach or at the pool). A nice place. A very beautiful beach is really close. The staff was very helpful and friendly. He provided us with accurate and concise information about the parking lot. I recomand this hotel for sure.

I had a deluxe room which has a huge balcony which was very private and great views. The room was cleaned every afternoon which meant you didn’t have to get out of the room in the morning. Breakfast was good there was a very good selection. Beach has to be accessed under the railway line but wasn’t far to walk.

Would have been nice to have a kettle rather than the coffee maker as not everyone likes coffee.

Excellent customer service especially Amira who could not have done enough. Hotel is in the old town of Calella, which was a blessing considering what the new town offers. Can at times be noisy with a school adjacent and a railway line to consider, however this did not impact greatly on our stay. Consideration should be taken however to the transfer time from Barcelona Airport. Food is typical of a buffet service.

Lovely buffet breakfast with many options hot and cold. A good location close to the beach and one block away from the main shopping strip.

The TV in the room had many channels for Germany, Italy and France, but no channels in English. Not able to change to 'version original' on the remote. 1st floor can be a bit noisy. Unable to turn off the balcony light at night, was stronger than the sun!

Good location, good price

Our hotel room wasn’t the best, the view could have been nicer and a/c didn’t work well even after telling them several times to adjust. They did adjust but it didn’t do anything. Just very basic.

Great location for the centre of Calella, including the station. For Ironman Barcelona, it was close to Transition which helped before and after the race. Triple room was OK in size, and breakfast buffet is excellent, especially for the early sitting on race day
