Almost adjoining the old city, the hostel was easy to find. PLease note; there are a few car parking spaces just beyond the hostel and in a cul-de-sac. Try these spaces before checking in. Otherwise parking is allowed on many side streets, not on others. The type of accommodation was new to me: a very modern, clean, new building with many of the services commonly found at a hostel. Mix of room types, laundry room, large communal kitchen, play area for kids, vending machines; but no bar. However, there is a large panorama terrace on top floor (no seating) and a solarium on the 3rd floor. All in all, a very good alternative stay for one night for those who like hostel accommodation but like it a touch more modern.

Great location, 5 mins walk from bus station. Large roof terrace/smoking area with great views of the city. The hostel was clean, lockers were provided and beds were separated by curtains, each having their own light and charging points (both 12v USB and 220v sockets)

No staff on reception when I arrived. Had to wait outside over 10 minutes for someone to appear and let me in.There is a sign in reception about ecological awareness, but bedding was given out in plastic bags and the only available drinking water was in plastic bottles from a machine.

Our stay in the hostel was very pleasant and convenient, thanks to its excellent location close to the city center. The building had a fully functional elevator available at all times, which made access easy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the shared spaces, including a gym and a TV room equipped with an automatic hot drink dispenser offering coffee, milk, and more. One of the highlights was the well-equipped kitchen, which provided a perfect space to cook meals or simply relax and spend time together.

Hostel Loop INN was the best choice for me in Cartagena. On the second floor there are rooms with one bad and its bathroom with a small balcony, so if you want a place for your own to stay, this is the right one. On the top of the hostel there are sunbeds and the smoking aria with the 360 degrees view of the city of Cartagena. There is also a toboggan in the hostel which is so cool. There was a lot of sockets in the room and it was very comfortable with nice bed.

Great value single rooms with comfy beds, own bathroom and tiny outside space. Great to have a gym that actually has reasonable sized weights. Large kitchen and eating area. Wifi worked pretty well. Walkable to train station and everything in the city centre. Friendly staff and free luggage storage. Would happily stay here again for a few days.

Gym is in a basement with no windows and the a/c doesn't work, so it's pretty hot. Kitchen equipment is somewhat limited (e.g. sharp knives, bowls) and the cooking space is limited so you have to wait at busy times.

Location was very convenient for coming in on the bus and leaving on Renfe - short walk to either station. It was only a few minutes walk to the old town and sightseeing parts of Cartagena, but far enough away that it felt like a real neighborhood and not just touristy. I felt comfortable walking alone at night. The shared kitchen at the hostel was great, plenty of room in the fridges, lots of tables and counters to sit and eat, and all the needed items to prepare your food. The front desk people were super nice the couple of times I talked to them. Bed was comfortable, and I love that the room had its own tiny balcony.

No big complaints. There were small things about the room that could have been cleaner but overall it was a great stay.

friendly staff who are fluent in both spanish and english. the single room with private bathroom is a good deal. stable wifi with decent speed. clean room with large comfortable bed and good linens. great lighting. small desk was nice. good shelving. shared kitchen is very well equipped and kept clean. short walk from both train and bus station.

room soundproofing is not great. people like to hang out in the halls and talk which can be annoying when you are trying to sleep.

Our family room was very modern looking, we liked the decoration. We used the kitchen every morning and evening, there was always room at the tables and all the utensils that we needed. The location is great, we walked around the town. We parked our car for free right beside the hostel. The hostel was quiet in the evening, I liked that.

There could be some hooks for hanging clothes at the wall (there was kind of a wardrobe, but something for coats at the door would be handy).

Great location close to the centre and also to the stations. The kitchen is big and fully-equipped with fridges and a freezer. The terrace on the third floor has nice views. Room was very clean with comfortable beds . The hostel was very clean.

The second night I was sharing with a group of 3 friends, 2 of whom snored extremely loudly. Even with ear plugs it was impossible to sleep. Not the hostel's fault, but there was noone at reception to ask to change beds.

Very nice staff, EXCELLENT location (some 10 mins walk to the most interesting attractions of Cartagena - and 5 mins to Lidl). Amazing terrace on the roof with great views, especially for sunrise and sunset). If it’s really a hostel, not a hotel, it was the best one I’ve ever stayed in.

The rooms were not as soundproof as I’d like them to be, and the bed was too soft. And I mean REALLY soft.
