Carmen, on reception, was an absolute superstar! From well before we arrived to beyond our departure I experienced the best WhatsApp communication ever. The room had everything: it was well lit with a bright central light and individual bedside lights with dimmer, a wardrobe, TV, shutters - which blocked out all the light (and was perfect for us as it was nice and dark). There was a great shower with hot water, good pressure and a wall mounted shower head holder. There were hooks exactly where you'd need them in the bathroom as well as a very good hairdryer, and huge mirror. Towels were provided as well as a bathmat. A kettle and large mugs were provided as well as a fridge with a large bottle of water and some chocolates. The bed was very comfortable with a nice mattress and duvet. There was a full length mirror. The room and bathroom were extremely clean as were the corridors and reception area. Overall it was quiet, though there was some very occasional noise from other guests in the corridor, something typical of most accommodation in Spain whether it is 1 star or 4 star. Arteaga hostal is centrally located and perfect to access all the sights of Granada as well as the Moroccan area and a ton of bars, restaurants, cafes, shops etc. An excellent parking option is offered for advance booking at just 10€ per day. The parking pass needs to be collected before going to the parking, the idea of which unnerved me a little, but I hadn't banked on the incredible efficiency of Carmen who made it easy and painless As well as the above, and the reason for booking the hostal, was because I had been gifted a circuit of the hammam and massage on site. That too was absolutely superb.

At the price offered and with everything that you could wish for, there is nothing to complain about.

The room was basic as expected, but very clean and comfortable and with a very good air conditioning unit. The location was perfect for both the town and the Alhambra and I particularly liked being in the older part of town with narrow streets and it's maze of shops and places to eat. The best thing of all about the Arteaga though is it's staff. EVERYONE I met was absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more helpful or kinder. In particular, Valentina and Anda were exceptional when I lost my key and called the emergency number at just after midnight getting me sorted out within half an hour. Victoria was delightful managing the Banos area and all the staff in the Spa were great. I would thoroughly recommend this as a great value place to stay.

The only thing I would really change are the pillows which I found a bit hard for my liking. It would also be worth looking at whether there is a way of making the door locks turn more quietly. Every time I locked my door from the corridor it sounded like a gunshot, particularly in the quiet hours after midnight.

Everything was great. 1. Perfect location in town ( close to Alhambra, cathedral) 2. Staff is the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. Valentina is someone who is really passionate about her job and makes you feel welcome. When I arrived I explained to her that my time is Granada is very limited and that I would appreciate any advice on how to spend 1,5 days in Granada. She created me a plan on what to visit, how to travel and where to eat good local food. It was awesome. Thanks to her advice I made the most out of this trip. 3. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No noise from outside.

Everything was great .

Among all the hotels that I stayed at, this is the only one who printed my name on a welcome card that placed on the bed. Also, they have free coffee and bottle water upon check in, it doesn't worth much, but it is a big gesture of friendliness.

Downside, if I must say, could be the size of the room. If you're two persons traveling with two big case, let's say you can hardly move when you spread your cases out.

Excellent location for walking to old and new part of Granada as well as public transport. Prompt & clear communication of the host. Iimmaculately clean, good beds and aircon together with quietness inside the building contribute to good rest in between outings. Reception was very friendly and accomodating. Very good value for money.

The lift had some issues, but the staff did try their best to get it sorted.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was room cleaning. The location was pretty nice too.

The room was a bit small, but just enough for our needs. Still quite enjoyable nevertheless. There was no one with accessibility needs in our case, but the elevator closed when the reception closed, so you would have to take the stairs after that. For someone with accessibility needs I can imagine that this is a problem

The location is great close to really good cafes and restaurants , also walking distance to Alhambra. The receptionist was amazing , so helpful ! . She gave me really detailed instructions how to find things and a kettle to make tea. My only regret is that I did not stay longer.

There is not much wrong with this place, the only thing I did notice was that the walls are quite thing and you could hear everything next door .This was not a big problem for me as the people next door went to sleep early but could be if you have noisey neighbours .

close to all amenities. clean, comfortable bed and pillow. staff was super helpful. they offered a small fridge with water free of charge and chocolate candy.

the smell in the bathroom, lack of communication regarding parking( even though they offered the service and it was very close ). I didn’t read anything about the price of the spa not being included with the booking, they should be more specific.

The girl from the reception was amazing. Thank you for looking after us! A great plus is that the hostel has a spa facility which is so gorgeous! You need to pay extra for it but is worth it!

The room was moldy, the door from the bathroom was just a slide door, a bit broken. You can see it is a really old building and the staff is trying to maintain it.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Our night check-in went perfectly with all the info we had gotten in advance. The room and bathroom were clean. There was a small fridge we could use. The location is perfect. You can walk to all major spots in from here.

The room was nice but could have used some decorations on the wall. It was very 'emtpy'. The shower was clean but too short to use comfortably for a tall person like myself (1.9M).
