Hotel Palacio Gran Via is a polished, highly professional hotel, where staff attend to customers' needs with enthusiasm, and the quality of all the basic elements is high. It is situated in the heart of downtown, maybe a 15 minute walk from the path to the Alhambra, and virtually across the street from the Cathedral, the University of Grenada, the Capilla Royal, the remnants of the old Medina, and many plazas. The breakfast buffet was lavish and fresh, and included dishes ordered from a menu as well as the buffet. We ate lunch one day in the cafe (empty, but we asked and a staff member immediately came to take our order and serve), and it was notably healthy and fresh food. The hammam is lovely (remember to turn it on in time to let it warm up!). They made reservations for us by the window of a restaurant (El Agua) with spectacular views of the Alhambra and excellent, even innovative, food.

The hotel is on a busy street, in a historical building with no clear place to pull up in a car. If you can avoid renting a car, that is probably optimal for this location in Grenada. Also, the pool, typically of this area of Spain, is tiny, with thigh-deep water--neither fish nor fowl, not a hot tub or a plunge pool, with something in between. The bathroom in our room was a tight fit in a couple spots, and a bit of water came out from under the shower door with no room to put a bath mat there. But these are minor issues. Don't forget tickets to the Alhambra! I feel like they should put a line about this in every email communication. If you travel at a busy time without tickets, they are pretty much impossible to attain.

Central location, very good amenities. Bedroom 5 was lovely, roomy and high quality. Bathroom high spec. Flowers asked beforehand to be in room were perfect. Breakfast was extremely pleasant surroundings, great food and service very prompt and attentive. Hotel bar was excellent and staff were very attentive and helpful Front desk and concierge were excellent. Booking for a guided tour of Alhmbrah done through concierge was superb. I also celebrated my 60th birthday whilst at the hotel and was given champagne and cake. Overall a superb stay and would happily use the hotel again and recommend to other guests.

My only niggle was the AC wasn’t cooling the bedroom enough. In the end we switched it off (as it was more heating than cooling) and opened the window at night.

Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was very yummy with a wide selection of buffet choice. There concierge Irene was superb in recommendations and advice. The spa was great and the massages and facials were one of the best I have ever had. She was really great in finding the problem areas. The beds and pillows were scrummy, and the sheets so silky.

Very small things: The cleaners in the room were variable, still exceptional, but some went beyond the call of duty. Finding which light did what was interesting. Finally opening the shutters around the nets was troublesome.

The hotel has a lot of charm and character. It was a bank previously and some of the features have been retained. The location is excellent. Overall the breakfast was good. The rooftop terrace was amazing with great views of the Alhambra Palace!

Some of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, Ernesto on reception, and Irene on guest services. Being a five star GL hotel, some of the nickel and diming was a bit disappointing. For example, I ordered an aperol spritz on the rooftop terrace, the first day it was very well made. The second day there was too much aperol in the cocktail and when I complained I expected a fresh drink to be made, but instead was offered more cava (which should be prosecco) to dilute it. On checking out, I asked if I could keep my room until 12.40 pm but was told I had to vacate by 12.30 pm at the latest!!!

Absolutely amazing experience. It is expensive, and in this case, you understand completely what you are paying for. All the staff members are extremely professional, helpful and kind, the hotel smells heavenly, beds are comfy, the SPA zone is small but completely sufficient, and the location is amazing. The building itself is a beautifully renovated historical building, with a lot of authentic details. Even the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. Just wow.

Elegant and spacious hotel that deserves its luxury status. Attention to detail was noticeable in every aspect - the presentation of the rooms and the common areas, the friendly staff and the meals. It also has a very good gym. The hotel had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with a beautiful meal and wines that was a special highlight. Also the Concierge was very helpful with tips and ideas to make the most of our time in this beautiful city.

One very small frustration pre arrival - I think the driving directions could be fine tuned by a native English speaker. Granada is impossible to navigate by car even with Siri, and we got lost when the hotel direction said to go straight ahead, when it should have said slight left at a critical intersection.

We LOVED this hotel! Location is perfect. Rooms are small, but modern and efficiently designed. Bed was comfortable and we didn’t hesitant to select our preferred pillow types. I don’t think I will ever forget the breakfast - the food options (both buffet and made-to-order) were fresh, healthy, and delicious. Views of both Alhambra and Cathedral from rooftop bar - roof is for guests only which creates an unmatched peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the city. We took advantage of the hammam (baths) multiple times and would have liked to use the gym if we had enough time. Staff was very kind and helpful.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, very well appointed and in a great central location. The room was gorgeous with the most comfortable bed we've slept in and plenty of space. The food was delicious with a great choice at breakfast and stunning evening meal. What made this stay even better though were the hotel staff...every single one of them made us feel welcome from the outset and were genuinely warm. In particular, Louda who was very friendly and provided excellent service. I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

Prime location. Both interior and exterior are beautifully designed. The building itself was a bank with sophisticated renovation. The terrace view, room quality, staff service all lived up to what is advertised on its website. Guests can enjoy the terrace free. This hotel’s terrace is for guests only so it guarantees the availability , quality and exclusivity. Bathtub big enough for 188cm height people, which really gives a luxurious experience. Small gift is a pleasant and memorable surprise.

The mattress is either bit sunken or to the too soft side.
