The staff was one of the highlights of our stay. They were all so nice and welcoming, particularly Barbara at guest experiences. The rooftop pool is also an amazing (and necessary!) luxury during the Ibiza summer, and the view from the rooftop is simply spectacular, and so was the food at the restaurant up there who will take well care of you with drinks and food at the comfortable sun loungers. The location of the Standard was also great. You could walk everywhere (even to some of the nightclubs, like Pacha and Club Chinois), and it's a short stroll over to the Formentera ferry. Personally, we'd much prefer staying in Ibiza town than at a remote beach. It's a really cool town with lots of dining opitions, and the architecture is also interesting and varied. The aesthetics of the hotel and the rooms were fabulous. Understated, warm and elegant modernism. We will be back in Ibiza, and we will be staying at the Standard.

More options for breakfast would have been nice for guests staying longer than a couple of days, and the gym could perhaps have been bigger (but it's perfectly fine for the basics and there is another great gym in town for those in need - it's called Ben's gym).

Not enough sun loungers on the terrace for guest demand. Must be even more competitive in high season 😉 If you got one, it was like sardines ie. very friendly with your neighbour! Restricted food menu due to the terrace closing for the season (late October) Limited storage space in bathroom and bedroom

Breakfast was really good - included in the price we paid. Orange juice was beautiful. On a plate was scrambled eggs, avocado, jamon. Separately was yoghurt with granola. In another bowl was fresh fruit. Tea or coffee included. Plus iced water. Also, a basket with bread and croissants. You can eat in or outside. The location could not be any better - in the very centre of town, but quiet. No need for cabs or buses. Step out of the door and you have Zara, turn the corner and you have all the shops in town. Walk up the ramp to Dalt Vila for shops, bars and restaurants. Staff were really kind and polite. Very positive and helpful. The rooftop was closed while we were there, but they found us somewhere else to sunbathe.

I found the bed size fabulous, but it made both mine and my husband’s shoulders and hips ache. I think the mattress topper was too soft. There were tiny black flies in the room and we both got bitten overnight. The view was of a blank, white wall. The bathroom was TINY! And there was no bath, only a shower. There was no balcony or terrace from the room. During the day we could hear banging from the roof due to works going on.

Great hotel, excellent rooftop with pool, location was amazing too, very quiet, good breakfast, good staff, lots of taxis and good shops. It was so good!

Room was small and they don’t offer twin beds. I went with a friend and we had to share a bed but they put single duvets on top. Not what I had in mind, and I would not stay again if I went with a friend but I would if I went with my husband or by myself. They didn’t even put 2 singles into a double frame.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Concierge were fantastic, honest, knowledgeable and capable. Room (junior suite) was a great size, bed large, clean & comfortable. Bathroom was large, open, not stuffy like most hotels, multiple shower heads were amazing. Airconditioning worked well, and room was also nice with the doors onto balconies open. Not at all noisy despite being on level 1 when windows/ doors closed. Breakfast inside, or outside on the terrace was a highlight with the beautiful location, breezy, and food great. Rooftop terrace also great for a swim, and cocktail at sunset. Great central location, easy walk to the old town & marina & multiple places to eat. Easier to get a taxi from this central location. Airport taxi transfer option was also seamless.

It was a shame the pool needed to be drained whilst we were there, but the hotel offered free drinks on the rooftop every evening to compensate as a result. These things do happen, so it was lovely they recognised the inconvenience.

The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of Ibiza town and only a couple of minutes walk from the old town in Dalt Vila. we stayed in a superior room which was a nice size for a city centre hotel. The room was bright with a nice size double bed, seating area, lots of wardrobe space and a very nice sized bathroom, perfect for two people. The staff were all great from the porter who greeted us at the taxi, to the check in staff and everyone else that we encountered during our stay. The roof top terrace is fantastic with a nice small pool, sun loungers and plenty of seats for day and night-time drinks and food. We met with friends and had drinks on the roof terrace one evening which was beautiful with Dalt Vila lit up in the background and also had drinks in the very cool and chic ground floor bar. Breakfast was also very good.

There is not much to dislike about The Standard. The only thing I would say is when I enquired about a hotel transfer from the airport to the hotel I was quoted €220 one way which is extremely expensive considering I was able to book a private transfer online with an independent chauffer company for €48.00 plus tip. I think the hotel should really look at this price considering all of the other alternative options available.

I love it! From exceptionally soft bed linens, through the decor of the room to very friendly staff, I love this place. It was my third time here and I will definitely be back soon.

Breakfast choices are a bit limited and it would be nice to have a bit more variety as there is no buffet to choose from.

Staff is exceptional. Very responsive to requests and they really want to make things right so that your stay is comfortable. Super comfortable beds. I like the room design. Location, location, location. It is placed in the best possible place. Close to the port and to old town. Central and not too far if you want to go to Ushuaia or simply wander around Playa en Bossa or Talamanca beach.

I must say rooms are tiny.

There’s nothing standard about staying at this fabulous hotel. Ideally located in Ibiza old town close to the port and lots of lovely bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel is well designed and has a cool, relaxed vibe. We loved the rooftop pool, lounge area and bar. All the restaurants were superb and the breakfast which was included in our room rate was first class. However, the main reason why we thought this hotel was exceptional was the staff… Joan, Sonia, Monica and all the team were superb and went above and beyond ensuring our stay was perfect! Can’t recommend it highly enough…

This hotel was THE BEST. The decor and style of the hotel is great, the roof terrace with its pool, sun beds and exceptional views was lovely, as was Jara the downstairs restaurant, bingo night is a must as is the cocktail menu and the Caesar salad. The room itself was nice we had the 1st option (superior king) and stayed for 9 nights and it was more than comfortable even with all the stuff we had packed, I couldn’t have asked for anything else from a hotel room and next time I stay I might have to try one of the more premium rooms to really see what I’m missing out on! also the included breakfast was good - great quality and a vast array of food. Even price wise for Ibiza it wasn’t extortionate and it was priced competitively with the surrounding establishments. I was happy to pay the prices on offer for the food and service received. The best thing about the hotel for me though was the people that worked there. I have never seen such a friendly and attentive staff in any hotel I’ve stayed at. Right through from the cleaners to the managers, they were all exceptional. If we needed anything they were all on hand to help and they really helped to make this holiday the best. I feel like the location, hotel itself, and staff help to make this hotel the best on the island.

The one thing that I didn’t like but because of the service and quality didn’t mind was that ‘Jara’ and ‘UP’ have the same food and drink but ‘Up’ is more expensive. I guess because it’s open to the public they get lots of people coming for the views. To be honest it was only a couple euro difference. but because of the quality of service and food I didn’t mind what I payed.
