James prepares breakfast himself everyday and its awesome! He even takes requests :) James lives at the property, so he was able to help us with any questions any time of the day. We were also allowed to make ourselves sandwiches and cereals anytime. There was also fresh local fruit to eat. Location is beautiful with nice view down towards the sea and up towards the volcano. If you rent a car, make sure you are able to climb the steep hill from the village up to his house. Nick the dog also lives there. He was very calm and nice. I havent hear him bark. We were also able to use the washing machine to wash our clothes.

The only thing I could think of was that the bed was a bit narrow (i think it was 120cm for 2 people) and a bit soft for our taste.

An absolute hidden gem! James is incredibly friendly and generous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. James was always there to offer advice and provided us with excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. The warm, family-like atmosphere was particularly impressive – you truly feel at home here. I highly recommend this place and would gladly return anytime!

First of all James is probably the best host we ever had. We consider him a friend now. He provided great food, even medicine when we needed it and great company. He even took us out for lunch one day and ordered pizza multiple times. As a parting gift he gave us a jar of marmalade! The house is amazing, the terrace on the roof provides an amazing place to chill and have breakfast with a view of the volcano and the ocean. The location was good, right between everything we wanted to see. The room and bathroom were super clean, wifi exceptional, breakfast amazing. We will definitely come back again!

Everything was just perfect. The house was clean and cosy with everything you need. On top a large rooftop terace with a view of the volcano on one side and the ocean on another. Breakfast was really good and diverse with lots of local fruits,cheeses,marmelades,... James (the owner) was very kind and helpful in every way. Thank you again for everything! "I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Salvia in Icod, Tenerife, and I must say it was a truly splendid experience. The location, nestled in the mountains, offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. The host, James, was top-notch and ensured that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The highlight of the stay, however, was the roof terrace, which offered a magnificent view of the mount Teide and nature. To top it off, James served an excellent breakfast on the terrace, which was the perfect start to each day of our stay. What's more, the B&B is conveniently located not far from natural pools, which were a major draw for us. The natural pools offered a unique and beautiful way to experience Tenerife's natural beauty, and it was well worth the visit. Last but not least, Nicolas, the resident dog, was a friendly and well-behaved companion during our stay. Having a pet around added to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere of the B&B. The amazing terrace, the view to the south of the Teide and to the north of Tenerife’s “Almalfi” coast. Fantastic breakfast with the other guests on the roof, sampling great local cheeses & fresh (insecticide free) fruits and local specialities. Excellent host James, always ready to help (collected us from the local restaurant for example). The bed was very comfortable (after a week of trekking on La Gomera).

As many others have mentioned, you need a car, and you really need one with some power, to get up the pretty steep hill. Unless you can use a clutch very well (after stopping on the way up hill) I would suggest an automatic. The room that we had was quite basic without an outside window, but that is not as bad as it sounds as it was clean and comfortable and as mentioned, you will be on the amazing roof terrace for breakfast (or if weather does not permit, in the nice living room) anyway most of the time.

We loved how this traditional Canarian house was renovated. Our favorite corner was the roof terrace, from where you could see Mount Teide on one side and the sea on the other. James and Gareth looked after us very well. We loved Gareth's dinners that he cooked for us (for a reasonable fee) when we came back from a day trip and didn't feel like going out to a restaurant. And we enjoyed spending time with James. It's in a great location where you can get almost anywhere in less than 1 hour so you can explore the whole island without having to move to another apartment. A big plus is that you can ask James or Gareth what to visit or where to eat, so you can make a plan during the breakfast they prepare for you.

A nice concept, being a dry B&B. It’s a stay with a meaning and story behind it. The host James does everything in his power to make you feel at home and comfortable. The breakfast outside on the roof with a first row look at the Teide is great. Suzy who prepares the breakfast is also a nice person who can give you tips from the surround area as she is a local. The rooms are clean and comfortable, on the small side , tough everything is present for a good nights sleep 😴. (Be aware there are 2 (nice & quiet) dogs present at the B&B). A car is needed to arrive , location google maps provides is spot on, and you need parking skills 😉.

James is one of the most kind hearted people I have ever met. We felt very welcome and at home. He was always making sure that we had everything we needed. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice shower and good bed/matras. Everything you could need for making dinner is there in the shared kitchen.The b&b is at an ideal location if you want to explore the mountains in the area around the b&b (as long as you have a car). We originally booked the b&b for 4 nights but we even extended our stay with an additional night because we felt like there was more to explore!

Nothing. Just know that having a car is pretty much essential when you would come here as a guest.

James (and his dog Nick) are the most relaxed hosts I have ever met. We liked his adventurous approach to the breakfast creation surprising us with interesting combinations of local ingredients. The view from the terrace was amazing.
